Difficulty level: I'm a pretty big yoga snob so I was a bit nervous the suburbs wouldn't be up to my regular practice. I usually practice power yoga (Anjali) or vinyasa flow (Dhyana) in Philly and i was pleasantly surprised that the level 2/3 classes here were on par with the regular classes at the studios I usually go to in the city. Although not heated like power yoga, it was definitely a great workout and I broke a sweat. Instructors: Annamieke and Allison were both great instructors, and have options to go into inversions and arm balances. Studio: The studio is beautiful and really cool, exposed wood beams and giant lanterns in an old barn looking building. Pricing: Drop in was $15 with a 20% discount for students and I know they regularly run Groupons. Pro-tips: Don't forget to grab come complimentary yogi tea on your way out! I guess it's like that everywhere. If were me, I would just let people use mats then clean them. Overall it was nice and clean. The only thing I truly didn't like was the fact that the bathroom was right inside the yoga room itself and not in the waiting area.

I've been to flow and stretching classes with Jeni also with Katra and I consistently do 26&2 with Hannah who o also did a private session where she really helped me better understand the poses I was struggling with and gave me direction and guidance that was specific to my strengths and weaknesses . They are all so knowledgeable, patient , and they push you to go beyond where you think you can go. I can't wait to try out the other classes they offer . Honor Yoga Pennington is a second home for me. A few years ago, I had never taken a yoga class and…read moremy girlfriend dragged me here against my will. I walked in, nervous and timid, and I was welcomed with open arms. I felt the warmth of the staff from the second I entered the building. The storefront is bright, clean and full of life, (literally because there are plants everywhere). There are 3 different yoga spaces. The smallest is called the cozy studio and can fit about 10-13 comfortably. The main studio can fit up to 32 and they also have a studio upstairs in the loft where they offer Aerial Yoga and YogaBaree classes. The variety and amount of classes is quite impressive. All of the instructors are incredibly experienced and provide more than just the physical practice of yoga. Most instructors include a great deal of the philosophical teachings of yoga that the practice is based on. I fell in love with yoga because of this studio and after practicing for some time, I decided to go through their teacher training program. This was the most valuable and transformative decision I have ever made. I am now a verified 200 hour RYT. Honor Yoga is an amazing company that is growing larger every day and spreading the joy and connection that yoga offers. I highly recommend this studio to all levels. I had a bitter taste in my mouth after working with them 4 years ago, and this unfortunately solidified my negative opinion. I would take your business to a locally-owned studio instead.
