Dan, the owner, is one of the most honest and trustworthy contractors I've worked with. He always takes the time to explain the options and genuinely tries to find the best solution at the best price instead of pushing unnecessary repairs or expensive replacements. It's hard to find someone who is reliable, knowledgeable, and truly looks out for their customers, but Dan does exactly that. I've used his company many times over the years, and the service has consistently been professional, prompt, and high quality. I highly recommend Air Worthy Air Conditioning to anyone looking for an HVAC company they can trust.

He found that 2 clogged water pipes were causing the leak. Not only did he clear the pipes and fix the issue, but he also removed a dead rat from the attic that we did not even know was there. He suggested adding a safety switch to the pipes to prevent future leaks, which was helpful advice. The service was fast, efficient, and professional. They charged me $500.00 for a capacitor that I found on Amazon for $44.00. When I raised my concerns to the manager, he ultimately refunded me $250. Unfortunately, this practice is apparently an industry standard. My advice: 1. If your air conditioner doesn't work, go to YouTube and see how easy (and inexpensive) it is to replace the capacitor, and do that first. Buy an extra one, as I am told they tend to go bad in 3 to 5 years. 2: If you decide to hire VAR, (or anyone else), be sure the technician gives you an estimate of the cost before you sign anything.

I don't normally write negative reviews, but my experience with Clovis Heating and Cooling was so…read morefrustrating that I feel obligated to warn others. I was assigned this company through American Home Shield to diagnose an issue with my AC unit. During the visit, the technician told me the system needed refrigerant and explained that my home warranty policy would only cover $10 per pound. I told them I wanted to do some research before approving any additional charges. That's when the real problem started. The phone number listed for the company appears to go straight to voicemail, and despite multiple calls during the hours they instructed me to call, I never received a callback. After repeated failed attempts to reach them, I contacted American Home Shield and requested a different contractor because I could not get anyone from Clovis Heating and Cooling to respond. I was then informed by American Home Shield that Clovis Heating and Cooling had already closed my claim and classified it as a pre-existing condition. This was shocking, especially considering I had been actively trying to contact them and had received no communication explaining that decision. In the end, I paid for a service visit, got no meaningful follow-up, couldn't reach anyone at the company, and had my claim closed without any discussion. The lack of communication and customer service was unacceptable. If you're considering using this company, be prepared for unanswered calls, unreturned voicemails, and a potentially frustrating experience. I hope this review saves someone else the time, money, and headache that I went through.

This is after we had another company come out and tell us that the evaporator coil was broken. We contacted Roo's because they are a Lennox specialist. Our unit stopped working in July and we contacted them about getting our AC repaired. John N. came off as helpful and responsive to our concerns and said he was going to come out on Monday. Monday comes and we get a phone call saying that he looked over the report from the last time someone came out and that he could tell the evaporator coil was indeed broken. He sent an estimate for what that was going to cost to get fixed. While on the phone with him we told him that we thought the motor on the unit might be broken as well and that we would like him to come out and check on that so we could get everything fixed at once. He stated that it wouldn't be necessary for him to come out and that it could be worked out when he came on Wednesday to repair the unit. Wednesday comes and John N. sends two technicians but doesn't show up himself. They finish the evaporator coil repair and try to turn on the unit. The motor is indeed broken. John N calls and lets me know that we have to wait two more days for the part and that it is going to cost extra money. Mind you all these parts are under warranty. I tell him that I think extra cost should not be put on my family because of mistakes the company has made up to this point. I call the office upset that now I have to wait two more days for the repair and this is after I asked John N to come out and check this specific part that ended up being broken. All of this after I had someone come out in March and told me everything was fine. I ask to talk to the owner and get told he will contact me. I have to call again the next day and still don't get in contact with the owner. I am told that the company wants to make this right for me. Friday comes and a new technician is scheduled to come out, John Y. He is friendly and gets to work. He finishes up and gives me the total bill which includes labor for the motor. I tell him that I don't feel like this is making things right and that someone had told me that I wouldn't be charged for that when I called the day prior. He calls the manager and I finally get to talk to him. I explain everything that has happened and he initially offers me a discount. I tell him that I don't feel like this is fair compensation for all the stress I have been through. I had to find someone where else to stay for 3 extra days because of a lack of communication due to his employees. He tells me that he is going to get to the bottom of the situation and will call me back. He calls back shortly and tells me that he recognizes all my concerns and that he is going to take off the charge for the labor for the motor. I really appreciate that he took the time to listen to my concerns and feel like he did right by my family. I will continue to use this company to do check ups and repairs because I appreciate that while mistakes were made, in the end they did right by their customers and took ownership for it.

Ranjeet responded quickly to our issue and let us know the date and time frame he would be able to come out. He was able to diagnose and refill our Freon in our unit within that time frame, which we immediately noticed a difference in the AC before we left. Our unit is almost 30 years old during the times Ranjeet came out, he did not try to push a new unit on us and was able to deliver great options within our budget. He also let us know what issues to look out for in the future or when it might be a good time to look into a new unit. But prior to Ranjeet, we've had companies not diagnose a thing and would just push a new unit quote on us. So it is refreshing to see someone who wants to take care of the customer with honesty and communication. Overall, Ranjeet is a top notch owner. He is very kind, honest and most importantly, seems genuine. He even remembered little details of our conversation from 3 years ago. So without any hesitation, we would 100% recommend RS Heating and Cooling for any of your heating/cooling needs!
