I hate talking about people like this but the smell that was coming from her and the attitude that i was greeted with first thing definitely made me never want to be a patient there. This is not the standard that you expect from a private hospital, needless to say i wont be back and I would not recommend it to anyone else. The last time I had a bad neck, I started off by trying the osteopath, who assured me that he could help: certainly, his words and massage did help me. However, the recovery wasn't quick enough, so I went to a physio. The physio said I had to choose: osteopath (at a fair price per session) or physiotherapy on the NHS. I went for the cheap and, as it turned out, effective, option. However, I had had some signs of improvement in my fortnight at this osteopath, and do believe that his work did some good. It was not madly expensive, compared to other treatments (chiropractic, I am looking at you), and there was a sense of genuine attention, not just bilking the sucker from his cash. If you understand and believe in the process, this is a nice and professional clinic.

One of these said people, has got to be my gran; although she is a big fan of almost any time of alternative medicine, remedy or - well, hell anything. And I reckon this is what it can, in some cases, primarily come down to. If you believe and have faith in alternative medicine and remedies, then they will tend to do the job. All this mind over matter stuff should not be taken too lightly. Therefore, this place is a great option for osteopathic needs, as it's: 1) Clean, tidy and comfortable. 2) Has a good range of opening hours. 3) Is well staffed. 4) The staff are pleasant, personable and extremely knowledgeable. 5) Their prices are pretty reasonable as far as these things go. Though, if you are convinced these treatments will not work then, best not to waste your money proving yourself correct.

My gran was in ward 2b of Crosshouse hospital with a broken hip. Although the hip was healing fine gran had other complications which they seemed ill-equipped to deal with. We found the staff to be uncaring, unprofessional, uninterested and downright unsympathetic to my grans needs. If you asked for help with something they were too busy, but they seemed to have time to congregate and talk about what they were doing at the weekend. My gran was very poorly and did not receive the care she deserved, she has since sadly died. I had a kind of rosy picture of what nursing was like but the nurses in that ward seemed just to be pen pushers, too busy with paperwork and not enough time looking after the sick. I found the staff very obnoxious, the nurses and the auxiliaries, with one nurse in particular called Kathryn who seemed full of her own importance and would give incorrect information on the phone saying things like my gran had a good night, is fine this morning etc. but when my mum went in she found that gran had had the opposite kind of night. It is just so unacceptable that relatives are told this rubbish and totally unacceptable to treat patients in this way. I am so sad at my gran's treatment in ward 2b. it has been a terrible time for our family that my grans last days were so awful for her.

Burnbank Medical Centre has been my doctors since I was born. I've seen a change of venue and…read morechanges of doctors throughout my many years of my wee life. There are 4 GP partners at the practice including nurses. I believe because of Government changes the nurses will not be based at the surgery anymore and will be elsewhere in Hamilton. I did have my flu jag last month and it was still within the surgery, I will need to keep checking to find out. I've been here that often that even before I get to the counter the receptionist gives me a nod. They know me, too well me thinks. Eep! Och to be honest it is nice, they are friendly and it shows they know their clients. Ive always managed to get what I've needed from the doctors and been cured by their good advice and prescribed medication, the majority of the time. There is a couple of unusual things about this surgery. 1. They do have music playing in the waiting area but it plays through a phone on the wall. This also doubles up for the doctor to call you. The music is usually catered for the older generation and it's so muffled sounding, well it is playing through the speaker phone. 2. My doctor has a dog who lies underneath his desk. He has a reason and there's signs up saying why the dog is there, I can't remember why but it's all above board. It is quite nice when you see its wee nose poking under the desk giving your feet a wee sniff. Another couple of things to note is that you can only book an appointment on the day, so call at 8am to make sure you get one as they go quick. They changed it to this system to reduce the amount of missed appointments. Also the only open for a half day on Wednesdays as the afternoons as I believe it's the baby clinc. Apart from these unusual things it's a pretty good doctors.

Only had my IPL done here, no other treatment but would recommend it 100% to anyone.I have had an incredibly bad experience with IPL from another salon in which my skin was burned the salon that caused me the harm didn't help whatsoever. A therapist from this salon actually gave me some helpful suggestions to reduce the long term damage to my skin caused by the other salon. Great place.

I have to say I didn't find the setting or the reception area very…read morerelaxing. its very chaotic with lots of cards, stones, bookmarks, candles (you name it they sell it!) with signs and price tags everywhere you look. Going up the stairs to the treatment area was a similar story, there was leaflets and boxes and bottles of water everywhere. i just think they should go along the lines of less is more. the staff seemed friendly enough though. all thought i thought the dog in the reception area was lovely and friendly, do you really want a treatment from someone whos just been stroking a dog?!
