I've been shopping at Alpharetta Buckhead Uniforms for 9 years now. A friendly place to shop is the good part of this review. The kids that they have working are extremely nice and helpful. My biggest issue is the way the store is now set up. Very inefficient. In the past before they moved to this building you were able to walk in and find what you needed on the racks, try those items on your kid, check out and leave. Never took more than 20 minutes even on a bad day.
This efficient way of shopping is no longer available here...
Now when you arrive you have to put your name on a wait list, sit and wait to be helped by one of the very nice employees, which depending on when you go in could be up to 45-1 hr wait, then you have to wait again while the sweet employee goes to the back of the warehouse to get your sizes, then you have to wait again if you need different sizes, then you have to wait again in line to check out. I guess I am of the mind set that if you have to "keep waiting" even if you are being helped it is not as good as if you could go and get what you need and get in and get out. I have to make sure I have a lot of time on my hands before I can make a trip to Buckhead Uniforms these days. I did ask the manager why they changed it to this model when they moved to this new building and she said it was because before customers would leave the clothing items in the wrong places, in the fitting rooms, make a mess of things, etc and this way everything stays neat and organized. I see her point however with as many salespeople they have now hired to help you would think they could use those same employees to keep the store straightened like they do in the department stores.
If it wasn't for the nice employees this would have been a 1 star review. read more
