This is a relatively small department store with clothing, shoes, home decor and kitchen items. They have clothing and shoes for the entire family. As far as the clothing and shoes, you can find the same or better quality at Walmart for a much better price. If you wanted to take it up a notch, you would still do better at Ross. You certainly won't go here looking for name brand or high quality items. With stores like Walmart, Ross and Target, right around the corner, I'm interested to see if this store will succeed. Bealls Outlet doesn't appear to carry anything that is unique or different than what is currently available in the Cumming market. Only time will reveal if this store is able to succeed in this already saturated discount market.

When I arrived, I realized that all of the shoes online are not necessarily carried within the store. They did have one of the shoes I had selected. I was able to try it on and walk around the store. The shoes were very comfortable, and they had many sizes between 9 and 12 in stock. However, they did not appear to have many wide shoes in stock. So, I will ultimately make my purchase online, but it was nice to go into the store and try on one of my selections. All of the staff who interacted with me were friendly and courteous. I'll definitely consider returning if I need to try on a pair of shoes, but I'll probably continue to make my purchases online. UPDATE: I went home that night and tried to order my shoes online. The email coupon would not work. It said that the coupon had expired which was not the case. I then started a chat session on their website. I found out that the coupon would not work with the shoes that I was purchasing. Apparently, almost every brand they carry is excluded from the coupons that they email their customers (see below). I don't think that I'll be making another purchase at DSW anytime soon. Beth (the owner) is one of the most kind, loving, professional people I have ever met. She carries the latest high end fashions at the most reasonable prices you could ever ask for. As a women's retailer, they carry casual clothing and accessories in-store with a small selection of dressier items - for a larger selection of all their stock, visit their website. Generally speaking, the price points at Chico's are pretty high but they always have a Sale section in the store and you can pick up some real bargains browsing through those racks (blazers for $19!). I normally only shop the sale section but recently decided I needed a few new items for summer and purchased a pair of denim shorts (flattering and comfortable) at full price. Based on the number of times I've already worn them, they're worth the cost. The accessories at Chico's are very trendy, and expensive - chunky rings, necklaces - so I don't often make accessory purchases here, but I have found an occasional fun piece on clearance for less than $20. The Northpoint location is my usual store and I've found the associates to be pleasant and helpful without hovering. They know the inventory and are quick to offer assistance in locating an item in other stores for customers. This store is located along Northpoint Parkway, well away from the mall and associated traffic snarl that it generates. Chico's is near the south end of this strip center with ample parking and easy in/out access at two stop lights. I'm a regular Chico's customer and I give them two thumbs up.
