Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Our TV didn't work and we didn't feel like having someone come up and deal with it. We chose room 402 because it was at the end and should be quiet. We received a lot of outside road noise and a nearby train which ran often and when the heater kicked on, it was like a motorcycle was in the room. As in, I was in a cab and had to tell him where to drop me. I didn't want to pay a lot for one night so I asked him to just drop me here. On the plus side, the staff was very nice and accommodating. The grounds were clean. The air conditioning worked better than in most upscale hotels with their new "green" a/c that turns off when you go to bed and doesn't go cool enough. This was a BIG plus for me. The room was mostly clean. There is a mini-fridge. On the down side, there was dirt on the sheets. They appeared clean and washed, but like something had been set on them and left grit behind. I had to shut the bathroom door because I could hear the neighboring room as clearly as if they were standing in my bathroom. But once I shut the door it was quiet. The toilet didn't flush very well - it took two flushes usually, and sometimes continued running until I shook the handle. The fire alarm is ripped out. Maybe it was replaced somewhere else, but it was just missing from it's original location. The phone kept cutting my calls off so I had to resort to my cell phone. Overall though, it wasn't a bad stay for a cheap hotel.

We asked them about the bed bugs accusation in other reviews and they were honest and upfront. A guest had brought in bed bugs once and the room was immediately sealed off, exterminated and fixed. They were very adamant about fixing the problem. It was obvious that this one incident has probably cost them a lot of business (which is sad because we enjoyed our stay). The owner (I'm assuming) was very helpful and accommodating to our needs (she even checked in on us). The breakfast is very simple (cereal and packaged muffins basically) but included in the cost. Huge stains and rips in the carpet, torn plastic shower curtain, no remote for the outdated TV, holes in the bathroom walls had been patched but were in desperate need of paint, the floor in the bathroom was so sticky I didn't take my shoes off, a dead bug was in the toilet, no iron or ironing board, I could go on and on. If we didn't only have an hour to get ready and leave for the wedding, I would have left immediately and demanded a refund. I will never stay at this hotel again and neither should you. Spend the extra $40 and stay at the Hampton Inn. Then you won't have to sleep fully clothed in fear of catching bed bugs.

The one time we had pizza we were very satisfied as well. RV years were mostly from Ohio and Michigan and a few Canadians, but that contingent was largely absent due to Covid. All the campers we met were friendly and helpful and the site was impeccable. The front office was especially helpful for providing notary public services for our vehicle purchases. My husband was wild about the pickle ball courts and the great folks that he played with. It was an especially good value for a month and even more so for a year. The pool was lovely and we looked forward to the Wednesday bake sales and farmers market. We would love to go back and might even consider wintering there next year. My only observation as a new RVEr was that the population At Florida RV parks in general was very Caucasian. There were no or very few Hispanics, African-Americans and Asians at the location. It was definitely LGBT friendly. Servers at Crumbs Country restaurant did not wear masks but outside dining was available and very comfortable. The overall belief of the RVers was that Covid had already come through the park and everyone simply distanced or rode by on their golf carts. Almost no one wore a mask.
