No need to go to a Big Box store for your equipment needs when you have these guys around the corner! About a year ago I went to Buckeye Valley Equipment to see what they have and to buy the cheapest gas-powered weed whacker I could find. When I explained my needs (I have a small farm) to one of their knowledgeable staff, she said, for just a little more money, I could purchase one with a larger engine and easy pull start. Am I glad that I listen to her! And their pricing is reasonable compared to the Big Box Boys. I know that I wouldn't have receive that kind of personalized service from a Lowes, Home Depot or Menards and would have purchased a trimmer that I would have been disappointed with. Not that there isn't a place for these kinds of stores, I use them all the time for certain things. Do yourself a favor and checkout Buckeye Valley Equipment. Happy Customer. read more

Let me start off by saying i had extremely high hopes with this place, even wrote a nice 5 star review before i used the equipment i bought from them. Customer service is awesome until i was lied to. I bought a used Cub Cadet lawn mower, a brand new stihl weed eater, and a brand new stihl chainsaw with some fluids and things like that and spent $1000 for all of this within a couple weeks. I understand i bought a "USED" lawn mower, but when purchasing it i asked Mike the OWNER if it had any sort of warranty on it and he told me as long as it was not my fault with something going wrong within the first couple uses, they typically take care of any faults at hand. Paid for the delivery charge and got it to my house, and once it was there, i drove it straight to my garage because it was still cold outside and the grass did not need mowed quite yet. Fast forward two weeks later when it did finally need mowed. I pulled it out and within the first five minutes of operating the lawn mower the PTO will not stay engaged and the blades will not spin in order to cut the grass. Almost like the entire reason of buying a lawn mower, crazy. I called in and spoke to a guy names frank and a woman related to Mike several different times trying to get a hold of Mike the owner because the first time i called i was told they couldnt do anything for me at the time after i explained my situation because i would need to talk to Mike about it. They took my name and phone number down maybe 4-5 different times before i finally called in again today and told them i cant wait any longer because im tired of paying someone else to mow my lawn. This time i was told "you can bring the lawn mower in the shop yourself (mind you i had to pay for a delivery charge because i have no way to get it to and from) and we can have our technicians look at it and help you out as much as possible but theres not a whole lot we can or will do because we already have $300 in a tune up cost put into it." The hell with a damn tune up, whats the point of a lawn mower designed to cut grass if the thing doesn't even start with cutting the grass? I got frustrated after wasting $500 on a mower that was "inspected" by technician and told that no issues were present with it when purchasing, and calling in several times with no help or answers and just hung up the phone because im just another dollar to those guys, which is sad because this is a family owned business and thats why I supported and gave them my money. Some of you may ask "thats what you get when you buy a used lawn mower. Yes thats very true, im in the car industry and know exactly how all that works. But i just closed on a house, and did not have the funds at the time to up and drop thousands of dollars on a brand new piece of equipment because i was now tied up in my house. I imagine someone will get on here from this store and tell me how I'm wrong and they're right after reading some of these other reviews and thats fine with me. Just letting yall know the BS ive been put through when purchasing from this place. I will now let everyone i know to avoid this place at all costs and even if it avoids only one sale for this place, then i will rest easy at night. Limited dealing with this company but what I have had has been forming an opinion that I should have gone with a larger dealer. The price I was told for the equipment changed when I picked it up. I should have walked away at that point. Also I was told pick up and delivery was free for winter service. That "free" service showed up costing me $70 on my bill. I don't know why but I don't have a big trust factor that has formed with these folks. I'd like to for sure but based on experience I think I'll go to a larger dealer. Things here seem a little out of sorts. read more
