Lots of the great Patagonia gear and really good selection-- they even sell wetsuits in this shop! In fact, I believe they're the only Patagonia store in Europe where you can purchase wetsuits. The prices aren't really discounted, but being Patagonia-- that's not entirely unexpected regardless of where you go. Great staff, very chill owner who's also an avid surfing himself, and a prime location right in the middle of downtown Interlaken. Patagonia's just taking off in Europe (and playing a bit of catch-up to TNF), but happy to support the company and its mission!

Not only did she yell at my son, but she also scolded me. It was an unpleasant experience that raises concerns about her professionalism and potentially her attitude towards tourists. Here's what happened: My son was exploring the pocket Swiss Army knife display, he opened the knife out and She came over and scolded, "You should watch what your son is doing! That's really dangerous. There's a button you didn't even push to close it...go ahead, close it!" I was taken aback by her harsh tone. We weren't even aware there was a button to press, and instead of helping ( which is within her job duties) , she chose to scold us and issue threats about closing the knife ourselves. She clearly knew how to handle the knife and knows how to close it but instead she walked back to her counter and said go ahead close it yourselves. At this point, the entire store was watching us. I am appalled by the employee's attitude. Whether she's having a bad day or has an issue with tourists doesn't justify her behavior. I walked out with my children, firmly telling her to stop scolding us and that it was unacceptable for her to continue scolding us instead of assisting as a professional would. Now, I'm not saying I dont have any fault, I should have tell my son to dont touch but that doesn't justify the bad attitude she has towards us. I'm not sure if she is racisit or just having a bad day, I'm not sure. But there should be no way of treating customer this way. If these products are genuinely dangerous, the store should put up appropriate warnings about hidden buttons etc Additionally, improving customer service should be a priority. We are all human, and the expectation should be mutual support rather than discrimination. I hope this employee reflects on her behavior and understands that professionalism and helpfulness are essential in her role in sales.
