In any case, this seems to be one of the few places that charges by volume instead of per item. Don't expect that to make it a good deal. First of all, no issues with the quality of the washing, folding, etc. My beef is with the fact it's cash only. And not only that, there was no mention of that until I actually dropped off the clothes. I called in advance, they sent a price list, I checked the website - nowhere did they mention cash only. At approximately US $50 for a single load of laundry, it's already daylight robbery. Then to not accept CC payments is an extra kick in the nuts. I'm not a cash person and didn't have any cash on me, so just getting laundry involved going back to my hotel (I was staying in Tasch), then going to a currency exchange just to pay these idiots. It's 2026 and you're operating a laundromat in a country whose primary industry is banking. You can pay for the barroom turnstile at the top of the mountain with CC but not for an already overpriced laundry service? Get lost. Won't be back.

Fine outdoors store, right on the way to the Klettersteig. They advertise "4 floors", which is…read morefairly normal --- but this time around it's the ground floor, one above, and then two basements. Rental gear is in the first basement. Klettersteig / via ferrata gear in the summer is fairly straightforward, and CHF20 for the day --- cheaper than I'd expected. New-style EPS helmet (rather than hard plastic), a harness with speed buckles, and a progressive-tear via ferrata setup; mostly very-new-looking Petzl gear. Front desk staff was polite, if uninterested in dealing with rental customers; the rental desk was much more friendly.

The owner of this store is one of the rudest most unhelpful people I have come across in the…read moreservice industry. We hired skis through them and took out their insurance. One pair of skis got damaged when skiing on piste with an instructor so we took them back only to be shouted at and told that we couldn't have any more skis we would just have to ski on the broken skis or have no skis for the rest of the week. He was incredibly aggressive and shouted at us and stormed off refusing to speak to us or help. The rest of the staff were incredibly apologetic and embarrassed by his behaviour and had to help us behind his back! Do not use this company, they will take your money for insurance but won't honour it.
