I was staying in St. Louis and my friend mentioned there is a Buc-ee's in Springfield which was the area I was headed to, to pick up my new puppy. This is my first time going to a Buc-ee's and I heard nothing, but great things about it and the one thing everyone had told me if I will spend a lot of money here and, boy, they were not lying lol. I arrive and I park at a gas pump since, I needed gas and the gas is super cheap reg $2.11 a gal I walk into the store and it's huge and extremely full of people. My time was limited as my puppy needed to eat and I had a 3 hr drive back to St. Louis. I grab a cart and start hitting the plushie section, then the other merch section and got a huge umbrella. I then hustle to the snack section and get some beaver nuggets and pork rinds. I the get to the glazed nut section where they are hot and fresh. The big back in me then went to the hot food section because I was told to try the brisket sandwich. I grab a regular size sandwich not realizing as I am walking away they have the XXL bbq brisket sandwich and I get that one instead. I get a fountain drink and I like they have their own brand. I mixed cream coconut soda with pineapple soda yummy! I get some magnets and I stop at the smoked meats section and get a couple different beef jerky's and I forgot to get a couple summer sausage, but I'll be back! I got to the register to pay, the older lady that rang me up wasn't all that friendly as though she hated her job, not hello or thank you said. All the other cashiers were cheery, friendly and welcoming. I wasn't going to let that negative Nancy cashier steal my joy whatsoever. I also paid for my gas, bring from California our gas is high so I assumed $25 would fill it up since I was at a quarter tank of gas. Buc-ee's definitely got my money that's for sure. I filled my tank up at $18 my mind was blown literally. I'm use to paying well over $4 a gal lol. I will definitely be back when I have much more time to look around. I call this the Costco of gas station convenience stores.
I've been a fan of Buc-ee's for years but the new design is making me love it more. This location must have 100 pumps. No matter what, the sales floor is immaculate, the bathrooms are sparkling clean, and the staff always has a smile. Thanks for all three. 5* for a convenient store gas pump? Whoever heard of such a thing. We spent $75 inside on trinkets, snacks, and a really good bbq brisket sandwich. Gas prices seemed low.
Words cannot express Buc-ees... as a matter of fact trying to describe it in words will never do it justice. It is the Costco of gas stations. It literally has everything you need and can think of. And I love that they're literally is a Buc-ees brand. Besides they're very low gas prices and hundreds of pumps (a little exaggeration there ), they have the most amazing food station where they serve anything and everything barbecue brisket and pulled meats. My ultra Fave is the Texas steakhouse burrito. This is five stars on its own. Obviously, you come here for merch and the Buc-ees nugs. Just live here for a day and you'll know what I mean. Buc-ees is the main attraction, it's like the theme park of gas stations! You must see to believe. The best part is the service. All cashiers are the friendliest. The customer service at Buc-ees is comparable to Disneys level If you see a billboard sign 900 miles away from one, go make sure to go. You won't regret it.
Springfield is our 2nd Buc-ee's location we've stopped at ( Also Georgia ) & we are pretty blown away at the size of the place & the selection of products & merchandise that's available so it's way more than "just a convenience store" There are many unique options for purchase not found in gas stations such as 1) Jewelry 2) Leather Purses 3) Clothes 4) Hats 5) Stuffed animals & much, much more. Fun fact is Buc-ee's is the world record holder with 75,000 sq ft of floor space & a 255 ft car wash as well as 128 Gas pumps. Whether you're stopping in for fun items to purchase or just a fill up on fuel or to get some snacks Buc-ee's is always a great choice with very well trained staff & below average prices.
Roadtrip!!!! We were driving from Illinois to Dallas and scheduled a gas fill-up and food at Buc-ee's in Oklahoma! First and foremost, the interstate was pretty clear and then we excited for Buc-ee's and so did everyone else. I was like, where did these cars come from? They have quite a few gas pumps. Like a ton. And when you walk in, it's like a mall. Bathrooms are clean! They had all kinds of hot food. I decided to get a bacon, egg, cheese biscuit. It was pretty good. The biscuit was flaky but crumbly so it is hard to eat while driving. We got some snacks as well. We didn't get any souvenirs but we got food, water and snacks. The place is split (clothing, souvenirs, etc on one side and food on the other side. Cash registers were pretty quick. Finding an open pump was not too bad. Parking was full but we found one further from the building but it was still a quick walk. Overall, very cool place and would have spent a little more time but we wanted to stay on schedule for Dallas arrival. Good times!!!
Walking into Buc-ee's for the first time was absolutely overwhelming!!! It is like the Disneyland of shopping There are housewares, unique kids "stuff," clothing, candy area, bakery, deli, hot food counter, jersey station, tortilla press, plethora pecans, beverages of any type, branded items section, the biggest bathroom I have ever visited, & lastly, the gas station seemed to stretch forever. We bought some fun items, a brisket bbq sandwich, & salad. Didn't see any seating, plus there was lots of snow so we ate in the car while the heater kept us warm. Some of the glassware was unique, didn't think the price was out of line for the quality of products, the food was delicious, reasonably priced, & staff were informed. Great experience, though have to say we did see people walk in, turn around & walked out.
You MUST make a stop here AND plan to add an hour to your trip because you will want to walk every aisle, see every food they are making, smell all the delicious smells, fill with gas (let's be practical) and use the clean restrooms. You will not be disappointed with the BBQ. We got the Carolina pulled pork Sammy and sliced brisket. Loved the pulled pork, moist and Smokey and slight mustard flavor (not overwhelming). The brisket is my favorite. They package it in a wrap so it doesn't try out. It's suuuuper moist, like melt in your mouth. Nice subtle smoke flavor. They offer fixings too: good bbq sauce, jalapeños, pickles..... There are baked goods too! Homemade jerky, pantry staples.... So many cool items for camping and travel like folding chairs - all with Buc-ee on them, picnic blanket, cooler, folding tables.... Then holiday items, clothes, houseware..... see how you can loose an hour? We had so much fun! And a very nice dog walking area around a pond, lots of space, potty bags provided.... Buc-ee is thinking of your pets too! Have fun, fill up with gas, eat your heart out and explore and SAFE TRAVELS!
Mega travel center,so excited to be here,they have at least 120 gas pumps here,very busy place,and staff are nice along with hundreds of travelers and yes,the restrooms are super clean and big.Wish all cities have this kind of gas station.They have hot and cold foods,bakery,apparel,drinks, souvenirs galore,camping gears and everything in between.I love their food(sliced brisket sandwich of course)with beaver chips,to take on the road along with candies,is our favorite the best seller buc-ee's nuggets.
Awesome full service gas station SUPER STORE! To much to see and explore at midnight-thirty on an early Sunday morning travel day! Friendly clerks, HUGE selection of items from groceries to clothing and beyond! Bought some delicious snacks and gassed up for $2.49 a gallon! Definitely the travelers oasis! Some items not as inexpensive as I would have liked but will definitely spend more time roving the store next visit! Four Fantastic Stars for being the place to refuel, huge clean bathrooms and plenty of items explore!
Had some time to kill and was hungry so grabbed a BBQ Turkey Sandwich for the first time. It was around 4pm on Thursday and this place was popping! They had plenty of sandwiches to choose from and this sounded good. Overall, the taste was great! However, it must have been sitting out for a little bit, as it was not overly hot any longer. For the price, it was a pretty big size for a fairly good value. Be sure and grab napkins, since this sucker was a little messy with the sauce. Pair it with one of their fountain drinks and some cookies for a complete meal
What's not to love about a business built around a Beaver mascot? The bathrooms are always an excellent place to stop because they're a ton of them and they're always super clean! If you haven't tried their BBQ brisket sandwich then you're missing out it's definitely a must in any roadtrip that passes near a Buc-ees. Also, you need to try the Beaver nuggets they're so addictive! The lines look long but don't let that fool you, they get you in and out quicker than Chick Fil A. The location in Springfield also has a walking trail around a pond which is perfect to stretch your legs after a long drive or to let your fur babies have a potty break.
I guess I can die happy now that I've finally experienced buc-ees. I was already impressed with this place based on the fact that my hermit husband spent hours here once with my children, leaving with hundreds of dollars in merchandise and tons of food to come home. My pastor also has raved about Buc-ee's using it as an example of how correct businesses run. I have asked tons of friends to describe Bucky's to me and they really have never helped me get the idea across of what it is. Some have explained it has Walmart meets a gas station except with clean bathrooms others have said that it's like a giant indoor shopping mall. I don't know if I'm gonna do it much justice to be honest, but I'll certainly try. The shopping is part Disneyland with Bucky taking the place of Mickey Mouse. They have buc-ee everything Buc-ee swimsuits, small stuffed Bucees huge stuffed Buc-ee's, Buc-ee mugs, Buc-ee everything Buc-ee. Then there is an upscale shopping experience with fancy cookware, almost rivaling a Williams Sonoma or an upscale boutique with fancy home decor, and cooking utensils. You would find at a Chi Chi LaRue shop in Napa. The whole place plays fun and upbeat, country music and smells like a combination of barbecue and fudge. Then there's a huge food area with jerky and fudge and barbecue and regular grocery items. Then there is the bathroom..... walking in there are pictures on the wall walls paintings that are for sale. Each stall has its own room with its own door and its own light ensuring total privacy. Instead of having to do the whole, let me check to make sure there's feet under the door to see if it's open routine. There's either a green light or a red light showing you which stalls are available which stalls are occupied. Each bathroom room has Florida ceiling tile that gives it an upscale feel. There are many handwashing stations in the center of the room with mirrors, post bathroom experience. We luckily got out of there only spending $53 but I wanted to spend more
I'm kind of Buc-ee's newbie, but this was my third one this year, and I'm a fan now. It's a really fun, entertaining and functional rest stop that can be a quick in-and-out; just gas up, hit the restroom, grab a hot BBQ sandwich, and go. Or you can linger and browse the amazing selection of Buc-ee themed products and quality gift items. Get some beef jerky and a 99-cent cookie, consider a Buc-ee Christmas ornament or plushie, then watch the cashier wring up your $80 worth of stuff. It was money well-spent. My only suggestion is to make the description of pre-made cold sandwiches easier to discern; there is too much detail in the ingredients list, so those jalapeños were not expected!
It's official, Buc-cee's is now open in Springfield! In fact they just opened today. It's an honor to be able to add this location to Yelp and be the first to post a review. Of course if you have ever been in a Buc-ee's you are aware of how awesome they are. If you have not you absolutely must hit this place up. It's a full on Mecca for the traveling man. There are 120 gas pumps available. Awesome bbq sandwiches are made on the spot. They have an entire wall of jerky and the Kolaches and baked goods are amazing. The Buc-ee's logo can be found everywhere and there is no shortage of kitschy things to buy. The crowds are almost as amazing as the sheer amount of stuff to buy, almost bordering on a circus like atmosphere here. The restrooms are epically huge and clean. And getting in and out of here isn't too bad. But this is definitely not a quick swing through for gas kind of place. It's a destination, not a stop. read more
Convenience Store? Really? I find it a hard stretch to define this massive fuel and retail stop a convenience store. A 7-11 is a convenience stop, this is more like a Walmart that wants to be a convenience store, sprinkle it with glitter and toss in a cute comic beaver and then you have a small idea of what Buc-ee's Springfield is all about... and I love it! As a West Coaster who is more "city" than "rural" despite growing up in southern Indiana, it has taken me 24 hours before putting digits to keyboard to describe my first time experience at a Buc-ee's, let along the "Grand Opening" of Buc-ee's Springfield that occurred yesterday (the first one in the entire state of Missouri!). 53,000 square feet, 120 fuel pumps, a BBQ station, a jerky bar, a fudge shop and a retail space that more resembles a football field packed full of everything from hand soap containers, to coffee mugs and souvenirs to Bucc-ee's famous Beaver Nuggets...not to mention the vast food offerings. Yesterday was opening day and imagine a Walmart and a truck stop (with 120 fuel pumps!) and a grocery store and a gift shop all mashed together. And because it was opening day, let me toss in a circus as well! It was too overwhelming to me to fully process this Buc-ee's being the first time I have gone to one. Apparently to the uninitiated like myself, one of the staff members told me that this Texas-based gas station and "convenience store" is the same size as all the others. Are you kidding me? LOL! One day you too will walk in to form your own opinions. To the help of fellow Yelpers that might take a peak at my review, I highlight 3 quick observations: PET AREA: Away from the building on the other side of the sea of gas pumps, you will find a water retention area that is surrounded by a paved walking path for pets. It runs the length of the gas pump area, has many green poop bag/disposal areas and good grass. A super nice area for your pets, like the one I am traveling with, on your long haul to wherever. BATHROOMS: When the sign says "world famous," that statement is no joke. A large amount of space with individual stalls that have real walls! To a woman, this is important and a nice touch after sitting in a car all day. This restroom could not have been cleaner. I have read that this is what indeed makes Buc-ee's a bit world famous. BEAVER NUGGETS: Kellog's corn pops covered in maple syrup....that is a beaver nugget to me. Coming in various flavors from sea salted caramel to bold & spicy, these nuggets are supposedly famous too. Full of sugar and crap that a health conscious person like myself snubs, don't open the bag! They are the unexpectedly delicious sweet/savory item enjoyed on a road trip that captures your taste buds in guilty pleasure like a kid. Worth the sugary moment, but don't tell my trainer. I could go on about this moment, this memory this experience for pages. But let me wrap it up by saying that this oasis of this mega size convenience store is a road side stop and a destination not to be missed for the weary travelers who have never been to one. I may never go to one again not living in this area of the country, but on the roadtrip I am on now, I will never forget this moment in time....and I have a Buc-ee's t-shirt to prove it! read more

40 acres of chaos, with world famous clean restrooms. Outside a parking nightmare of bumper-to-bumper highway migrants. They are driving everything from Maseratis to barely running rusty Ford Mavericks; all endlessly circling for that vacant parking spot. A line of gas pumps that extend into the next zip code. Black hoses stretched, each fuel dispenser occupied, vehicles lined up and waiting. Inside the smell of BBQ brisket sandwiches, roasting cinnamon pecans, and people, people, shoulder to shoulder. The bathroom is their first priority. With relief achieved, they are on to buy anything that has the emblem on it of that buck tooth varmint with the red hat. Some unnecessary trinket, sticker or tee-shirt for themselves. A souvenir they hope will incite envy from their friends. Some struggle with the decision of a hat or beef jerky for uncle Fred. A couple of women are discussing which color onesie cousin Sue would prefer for her newborn. There is something for everyone. The service at the checkout is a phenomenal performance, a flawless rehearsed process. It makes Walmart look like the kid's neighborhood lemonade stand. Our mission was achieved. A bag of those world-famous Beaver Nuggets! Golden glistening fried pellets of cornmeal batter. They remind me of the crunchy Long John Silver's fish batter crumbs, only larger and with sugar coating. Kellogg's Corn Pops on steroids! I didn't say that they were good............ read more
Buc-ee's was amazing and it totally lived up to my expectations. The mascot is so cute and there's merch of him everywhere. I love that there are so many food stations, from BBQ and Mexican food, and also lots of beef jerky and beaver nuggets. I also got to meet the famed costumed beaver. I got a round plush, a limited edition 2024 Halloween Buc-ee's shirt, some jerky, socks, scrunchie, a long-sleeve tee, and I love them all. Super clean bathrooms and so many staff members to help you out with whatever you need! I love that they also pay their employees a competitive wage. I don't see how a gas station/rest stop could be any better. read more
Stopped at this Bucee's on a Thursday for lunch, and it wasn't super crowded, a big plus! It's been almost a year since my last Bucee's stop, so a change-up with their food: All Bucee's have discontinued their kiosk ordering system for more sandwich options. This is totally fine by me, no biggie, and an understandable decision as Bucee's strives for the fast, friendly, fluffin fantastic motto. Now, all food offerings are out in cold cases throughout the store - mostly in the same general area as their BBQ and nuts stands. Employees were busy making food in the open-viewing kitchen area and constantly restocking. I got a nice-and-tight saran wrapped Crispy Chicken Bacon Avocado wrap for the road, which hit the spot - happy tummy and tastebuds! I also love how management is stationed all throughout every Bucee's, so I never have to go far, or up to the registers and stand in line, if I happen to need clarification. Yes, damn straight I got a few tee shirts, never pass a Bucee's without an obligatory souvenir. read more

The build up to finally stopping at Buc-cees was probably more exciting than the actual visit itself. You see the streamers and decor from miles away. Exiting off the freeway, I was SHOCKED to see they had nearly 40 gas pumps. At that point they didn't even need a parking lot, because people would just park at the pumps. Their parking lot was insanely big, and terrifying to navigate due to the blind spots, huge open roadways, and lack of stop/yield signs. Once we got in, we beelined to the jerky. They had wine, alcohol, a fresh bakery/deli with items being made every second. They had pulled pork sandwiches, tacos, burritos, plenty of desserts, pre-packaged salads (mine was so yummy and filling) and every type of packaged snack you could think of (pickle slices, cubed cheese, apples, crackers, veggie trays, fruit cups). They also had almost an entire half of their store dedicated to clothes, home decor, and other non-food items. It reminded me of a Frys or Kroger. My boyfriend also made a note of how clean the bathrooms were. He said it looked as if they cleaned it and nobody had ever used it!!! I wish I had gone in the womens room to see for myself!! Our total was $38 for some snacks, Icee, magnet, salad, jerky sticks, and a burrito. Kind of expensive but we also went for the experience! Wish I got more photos, but I'd say it's definitely worth a stop if one lies along your path!!! read more
This place is amazing. Super clean. Friendly staff. The jerky is great. Bought a bunch of stuff, but man oh man the star of the trip wasn't even known until weeks later when I thawed the deboned crawfish jambalaya stuffed chicken and roasted it off. This little masterpiece of flavor and convenience was out of this world! I basted it with a creole butter sauce at the end of the cook time to get a beautiful golden brown, but the flavors were incredible. The only bones are the 2 wings. They carry it in a freezer case where I recommend you grab some boudin sausage from as well. We were traveling and had almost a 4 hour ride left, but no problem.. I even bought a convenient buc-ee's insulated zippered bag that kept all my stuff frozen and cold. I will never pass one of these places up when I am traveling. It is a guaranteed stop! read more

What - you think Buc-ee's is a big gas station or truck stop? Uhm....notta....nope! But-ee's is a destination! If you (haven't) been to a Buc-ee's you haven't seen anything remotely close to this place!!!! Now, I could go on to describe all that a Buc-ee's has to offer and how incredible the place is. Or, (you) could just go and see it. And there's what I'll say - just go and see the place. It's maybe (not quite) one of 7 wonders of world....bit it's still life changing nonetheless! lol. We're back at Bucc-ee's again on our way back from Branson. Amazing place with everything you need! Fresh barbecue, roasted nuts, yummy burritos, and just about everything under the sun from A-Z seriously! They are super busy and packed with people but still there's ton of parking and very nice bathrooms. Highly recommend stopping at least once to see the hype! read more

So I lost my cherry at buc-ees. My virgin visit!! tell you I've never had to stand in line to get out of a restroom until today. Way to many people and way to crowded. I will give them credit as they did have enough cashiers working only grabbed a coffee and tht was even difficult with all the options and choices. They do have a lot of stuff but just a big tourist trap in my opinion. Not sure how many gas pumps but it went for a long way. I would assume non stop tanker trucks delivering. Anyway. I been there and done tht. I'm good. read more

This is a spectacular business. They have everything ! Over 100 pumps. It's literally the best stop you would want to make on your way to anywhere . They make fresh tortillas, Baked goods fresh burritos, fresh tacos, beef jerky, houseware clothing Water floats, barbecue grills, ice, and of course, any drink you can think of. Don't forget to take a picture with the beaver! So sweet! There were some water on the floor and I almost slipped. I pointed it out to employee did she jump in to action? She stood over that water drop until somebody mopped it up really made me feel safe. I'm eating my cookies as we speak not regretting that purchase at all ! #5Stars read more

The place was so crowded I could nit enjoy myself to even look around. We did grab food, the line was quick and the food was good. Pulled pork, turkey sandwich, brisket sandwich and chicken burrito were all very good. Would go back if not a weekend. read more

They don't have these where I live and I'm headed to Oklahoma and I was very excited. I was able to see this and get here. It is such a great store. I cannot say enough good things about it. The prices are very reasonable, the selection is awesome. The workers are very nice and friendly And it's so nice to shop in an American owned store with such quality items with such a variety I would give this 10 stars if I could. read more
Man, this place has everything! My first visit to a Buc-ee's was on my way to Florida. I was amazed such a place existed. It was frightfully busy, yet there was no wait for anything. (Not for me, at least.) There were more gas pumps than I had ever seen in one place. There were so many spotless restroom stalls! And they had food: fresh sandwiches, pastries, fudge, jerky, spiced nuts, and housemade kettle chips in addition to the usual prepackaged convenience store snacks. Lining the back wall were the beverage stations with coffee, tea, soda, and slushies, but they also had a fridge case with bottled drinks. The other half of the store has a bunch of quirky merch, lots of it sporting Buc-ee's face. You are guaranteed to find something for those white elephant parties at Christmas or for that hard-to-buy-for person you just have to bring a souvenir to. The Springfield location is similarly great but maybe not as big as the Georgia locations. It doesn't matter though. It's still huge and has all the stuff mentioned above and more. It's totally worth a day trip from KC to visit . read more
Well we've heard about these gas station convenience stores so on a trip to Springfield we needed to refill gas tank and use bathroom so this was 10 minutes away. Very convenient off highway. Hundreds of pumps. Great place to walk your dog and if you don't have a baggie they offer free ones. The bathrooms were super clean and very well attended. I got fudge and honey and nuggets. All great. Everyone talks about the nuggets and they are correct. My one negative is in this bright and clean tourist trap... The volume of voices and music was overwhelming. A great selection of stuff to shop. Pretty easy to over spend here. But hang on to your kids hand as it's busy. Next time we're this way we want to come down to have more time to look over everything. Everyone needs to come here at least once. Add it to your list. read more

We went to Buc-ee's in Springfield tonight for the first time tonight. What an impressive place! Starting out with the 95 gas pumps out front and then walking into a well-lit very clean establishment. I needed to tour the place for 15 minutes before deciding what I wanted. Workers were cutting up brisket and making sandwiches right in front of everyone. Another employee was making candied nuts which was fun to watch as well. Buc-ee's also has a good sized bakery and an impressive area for merchandise. I will come back to Buc-ee's 's the next time I'm in town. read more

We live in Texas so of course we had to stop at Bucees while in Springfield. Upon entering you are engulfed by the smell of roasted nuts, BBQ, fudge, coffee, and all the other numerous smells Bucees has to offer! Store was set up like all the others. Very clean and organized. And of course the bathrooms were fully stocked and clean. We got some souvenirs: shirt, coffee mug, and bumper stickers. Also a cup of coffee and roasted pecans. This place is a great place to get a gift for anyone also. And don't forget to fill up your vehicle with some of the good ole Beaver Juice(aka gasoline)! Gas is generally less expensive at Bucees. You have to look online or wait till you arrive at the location to see the cost. No sign posted that you can see from the road at any location I have ever been to. read more
