Buc-ee's It's an absolute must!! This is our favorite road side stop! When we made the trip to the Midwest we enjoyed these in Texas. Now this one here in Kentucky. This store is right before Bowling Green! Stop and refuel, and get out of the car. They have a great selection of everything. If you need it; it's here. The hot food selection is available and it's not typical. It's the best road food ever. Have beaver tots and an egg burrito. Mmmm! The coffee bar here is ridiculous. This is my favorite place for coffee now when we travel! Love it . Coffee made my way. They think of the customer stocking everything truly. The coffee is fresh ! Until the next time we return ! Let's go and find the car, they have ample parking too!
This was my Buc-ee's virgin experience and I had never been in one, until about a month ago. Everyone that has been tells me I must go, so I did. And, my Buc-ee's cherry has now officially been popped. The experience was truly a unique one and its like a gas station convenience store on steroids and I, of course, was completely overwhelmed. I came in here during the July 4th weekend and there were people everywhere. I think I probably have some level of social anxiety because all I was trying to do the entire time in the store was to get away from people, which proved almost impossible. I did wander the entire store and I probably spent close to an hour here. Talk about a place where it traps your money, this would be it. I ended up getting a jar of pickled okra (because I have never had this) and also a bag of fried cajun pecans. Both items were very good and still enjoying them back on the West Coast. I think I had one of their ready made brisket sandwich and it was ok, I'm not too much into BBQ so it wasn't like mindblowing for me. I had a potato salad too and that was good. I just wanted a diet soda for my 2 hour drive back and I guess Buc-ee's doesnt carry fountain diet. Does that make any sense? I was pretty impressed with their many many gas pumps which I believe is their claim to fame, but, what I needed was to clean my windshield from all the bugs and I could not seem to locate this windshield washing station that apparently exists. While it was good to experience a place like this, I think for me, it was sensory and capitalist overload for me. And, we wonder why we have an obesity and chronic disease epidemic...places like these enable us to be on our worst behavior and something felt inherently wrong for me to be in here. Call me a masochist, but I enjoy torturing myself running miles just to burn off enough calories in a day to not gain weight and a place like this conflicts with the workout junkie in me. Hey, we all need vices, mines just happens to be sweating it out and breathing heavily. I'd return to a place like this if there was one closer but I wouldn't just make a special trip for this place. I have no self control, I'd be here all the time.
Buc-ee's is the new Disney World, at least on road trips. It's a must do on family vacations, but I visited here on a business trip because some coworkers wanted to go at lunch. One coworker who is a local said it is usually the cheapest gas in the area, and he braves it for that reason. Pro Tip: If you are getting gas, please move your car from the pumps when you go into the store. Buc-ee's is sensory overload for me, so I was mainly here for the bathroom and to grab something to drink. The bathrooms are the cleanest you will find on the interstate with numerous stalls and hand sanitizer outside. My coworkers love the brisket, fudge, tacos, and the slurpees. Save room in your suitcase and come prepared to spend some money here because you'll want to try everything- especially if you're a first timer.
Kentucky Buc-ee's was a must stop on my recent trip & of course I bought some clothes items! I collect shirts from each location I stop at. Everyone wonders what the hype is all about. This place is amazing & you can spend so much time (& money) in there! Plus never having to wait in gas lines, being there are 120 pumps on site. Their fudge is so good, as are their sandwiches & jerky. Must try their Beaver Nuggets as well!
This place cracks me up.. gotta stop in and check it out every time you pass it. Food is great, don't knock the BBQ products, pulled pork and the brisket is the bomb. Bathrooms are clean but unimaginative. I thought that this was their claim to fame. lol Just go, it's a great way to take a break and laugh about the area, fill up and even get a car wash. If you live near one consider working there cuz they pay well
Stopped in for a brisket sandwich and was pleasantly surprised I could just get brisket alone. I also got beaver tots. Everything was hot and fresh. Gotta love a Buc-ee's stop. We got the cookies, cashews, and cotton candy for road snacks. The cookies were a little dry but still okay. The cashews were amazing, you could really taste the vanilla. The sweet and spicy bbq and chicken sauce were both pretty tasty. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. I liked the red and green lights to see if they were occupied or vacant. They were very busy but still efficient.
Buc-ee's in Smiths Grove, Kentucky is wonderful! We came to Cave City for a few days and drove about 15 miles further south on 65 just to go to Buc-ee's. It was Sunday June 7, 2026 around 9:00 am when we arrived. It was a mad house. We turned in on the lane that takes you directly to the gas pumps. We were driving for a while and just decided to park so we could go in and use the restroom and get something to eat. After using the spotless restroom and cleaning up, we went to get our food. As I said, the place was an absolute madhouse, but it was good madness. To see so many people packed in one place with smiles and looks of joy on their faces. Great time's. I know it's just a rest stop but it's so much more. This place just makes people happy. It was still breakfast time so they were still serving the incredible brisket tacos. I absolutely love just the brisket taco with their green salsa. It's amazing! My taco was packed with brisket and comes on the fresh made tortillas they make right there in the store. My wife loves the brisket and egg taco just plain the way it comes. They are equally as good and also loaded with brisket and a good amount of egg. After getting our food, we went and got a few of the new Buc-ee's America 250 merchandise. We just got a couple of t-shirts and a fridge magnet. There is anything you can imagine in the merchandise section. After checking out, we went to our car to eat our food. Sitting there eating we just watched a non stop line of cars pulling in. It was like it was timed perfectly. Every vehicle seemed like they were spaced out the perfect distance from one another. It was like it was choreographed. We sat there for about a half hour watching this. It was hilarious. When we finished eating, we went to fuel up before getting back on the road. This particular day the gas was $3.47 a gallon. When we got back to Cave City, the gas was $3.74. Even with all of those cars coming in, there was no waiting to get to a gas pump. Buc-ee's is a fun place to stop in and grab a snack, have some awesome brisket, pulled pork, or beef jerky. It's just a wonderful place.
What a place! There was a line to get in, but still pumps available. Be sure you drive past the first few pumps! They have everything you can imagine to eat and drink, lots of items for sale and very clean bathrooms.
Always love a Buc-ees! Was traveling to Kentucky to visit the Mammoth Caves National Park and was pleasantly surprised to find this one so close by! Lucky me! We're from California and visiting Buc-ee's is always a treat! This one was just as good as the ones I've been to in Texas. Spotless bathrooms, delicious barbecue sandwiches, gas pumps galore, and friendly store clerks make for an experience like no other! Do yourself a favor and don't pass it by!
It's big! It's got clean bathrooms and lots of gas pumps. It's a Buc-ee's! We stopped at this Buc-ee's while traveling for gas, a bathroom break, and a chance to get out and stretch our legs. Buc-ee's was founded in Texas in 1982 and has grown from a small convenience store and gas station into a chain of enormous travel centers that have become destinations themselves. Even though there are still relatively few Buc-ee's locations compared with most major convenience store chains, the individual locations are much larger than the typical gas station. This one was easy to get to and, like the other Buc-ee's locations we have visited, had a huge number of gas pumps, so getting fuel was not a problem. Once inside, it was pretty crowded, but that seems to be normal for Buc-ee's because of their popularity. The staff we encountered was friendly, and the store was clean and well maintained. There is an enormous selection of food, including their well-known BBQ and brisket sandwiches, jerky, Beaver Nuggets, bakery items, snacks, drinks, and plenty of other choices if you are looking for something to eat along the road. There is also a huge selection of Buc-ee's merchandise, clothing, souvenirs, outdoor items, and other things that make it fun just to walk around and see what they have. Of course, one of the main reasons we like stopping at Buc-ee's is the restrooms, and these were large, clean, and lived up to the reputation. Overall, this was another very good Buc-ee's stop. It was a little crowded, but with plenty of gas pumps, great bathrooms, friendly staff, lots of food choices, and plenty of room to walk around and stretch your legs, it was exactly what we needed during our travels. Buc-ee's was a pretty crazy place! With over 100 gas pumps, a huge store which seems like they have everything. I had a barbecue beef sandwich. That was delicious and fresh. Huge coffee station. I walked in and out with a huge smile on my face because of the fun atmosphere and the friendly staff. Definitely recommend stopping in and check out this place.
We stopped here on the return trip back to Louisville after our day trip to Bowling Green. We each purchased fresh brisket sandwiches (chopped or sliced) for later that evening and all reported back the next day that they were delicious. My sliced brisket was tender, lean and meaty, and flavorful. I even watched as the fresh brisket was pulled out to the cutting board and prepped and was SO HAPPY to finally find a proper brisket within driving distance at Bucee's of all places. The prices at Bucee's are affordable. Freshness is a calling card and aided by the sheer volume of product purchased every minute. The employees are some of the friendliest and we were greeted at every turn. Bathrooms are PRISTINE. I laughed a bit when I had seen or heard someone laud this business, almost as if it was a pilgrimage, but now I understand. I'm contemplating taking a cooler and making a trip to get brisket. My first visit to Bucee's was Austin, Texas, in 2017 and I stop at each one when the opportunity presents itself to purchase jars of pickled quail eggs and candied jalapeños for myself and family. Brisket and a fudge sampler are now on the must-have list. read more
Went to Kentucky's new Buc-ees store in Smith Grove during its opening week. This was my 2nd time visiting this store and it didn't disappoint. It is an easy drive from Louisville just straight down I-65 south and you there in one and half hours. They greet you once you enter and it just so exciting to visit this place every time. Buc-ees hire the right people b/c they are upbeat and friendly. They have the best food like Bean Burritos, BBQ Brisket Sandwich, Chicken Sandwiches and more that is hot and fresh. We got plenty of merchandise like Buc-ees Beaver, KY refrigerator magnet, and more. We budgeted for $200 but came way under to $120. We took advantage of their cheap gas and headed home. You can't go wrong with Bucc/ee. It's Grand opening week. Right now GAS is 2.99 a gallon. This place was packed with people all doing the same thing you are Just looking at all the merchandise and food and drinks. The restrooms are the cleanest I've ever been in. We are hooked on them we drove 430 miles today to experience this. That was round trip. The employees were very nice and patient with everyone. read more
Ahhh, how to describe the magical place that is Bucee's?? Those would describe it as a mere gas station don't like nice things. Going to a Bucees was a genuine life bucket list item for me and this location in Smith County, Ky did not disappoint. For those looking for cheap gas, extremely clean and spacious bathrooms, and just a food and shopping adventure in the middle of your road trip, Bucees is for you. This location is very new so everything seemed incredibly clean and I hope that holds up. In the drive between Lexington and Nashville, it was also the cheapest gas I encountered and loved that there were so many pumps, I had no wait. Bucees is well known for being the Mecca of road trip snacks with options GALORE for any kind of junk food you would want (including pickled quail eggs!) I went the traditional route and opted for several varieties of chips and Cheeto-esque things as well as the sweet, hot roasted nuts and all were delicious, The Bucees chips, hot from the kitchen were my favorite. I didn't like the ranch corn chips very much, as they had very little flavor, but to have one dud is no big. The hot food options are overwhelming and while the beef brisket here is really well known here (and they have a fun callout anytime someone orders one), I don't eat red meat, so opted for a simpler egg and cheese biscuit which was very decent. There is also fried chicken, tacos, all kinds of hot sandwiches, and a whole jerky station. There is also plenty of just fun, kitschy shopping here. Bucees merch is a right of passage and I left with a t-shirt, hat, friendship bracelet, and some toys for friend's kids. Any weird thing you could put a cute Bucees logo on, this store has it and it's fun to explore and see. There are also lots of general clothing/items options, it's almost like being in a Target. Super clean and spacious bathrooms which served me well because I had to do an outfit change for an event I was going to on my drive back and this stop made it easy for me to quickly get ready. Really fast service and lines at the counter, even though it always seems pretty busy/crowded. Do yourself a favor and make a stop at this magical place!! read more

So excited to visit the smiths grove Buc-ee's! I tried the sliced brisket sandwich (nothing exceptional, needed more bbq sauce). Beaver chips and cherry cola were ok. Banana pudding was good. Other Buc-ee's snacks I bought were also just fine. The merch is what I looked forward to the most and I left with some good stuff :) Overall, staff was friendly. I would love to visit Buc-ee's again. read more

It's always easy to find an open fuel pump and the restrooms are clean. Their fuel prices are consistently lower than other fuel stations. The employees greet everyone that walks in the door. I always look forward to stopping here. read more

This new Buc-ee's is amazing! It's large, clean, fully stocked, and has plenty of staff to assist you. Everyone is smiling and happy, and the prices are fair. So much to look at! I got an iced coffee, a brisket and cheese breakfast taco, a warmed Cinnamon Roll, and a Sausage, Cheese, & Jalapeño Kolache. Everything was delicious! The Kolache is easy to eat in the car while driving... I highly recommend this Buc-ee's! read more

This was a great place to stop at to pick up some food and gas. The store was more than I expected with tons of food and drink options. It honestly was mind blowing once inside. It had a lot of apparel and even some home decor items. There was a hot food counter that was putting out amazing burritos amongst other items, bakery and sweets area, etc. It's truly a site to see. They also had what I would say is similar to a convenience store area that was huge. The bathrooms was large and clean. The staff were very friendly. There is a huge gas station area outside that was packed and moving quickly. Truly amazing. read more

Been to many Buc-ee's love them all. The person who love them most is my cousin in law. (She's the one in the picture) if we do not stop past she will have a major CRASH OUT and we don't want that. She gets sassy when she doesn't get her picture with the beaver. She love all the food and can't stop eating it once she gets her little fingers on them . Her favorite is all of there fried options she runs right towards them. Can't wait to get screamed at again cause we almost missed the exit. See you next time Buc. Even though it's a Saturday night and this Buc-ee's is very busy, the service is very quick. There is plenty of food fresh and ready. No waits to get the coffee and drinks. In fact, no wait for anything except a 1 to 2 minute wait to pay and check out. Many open fuel pumps, too. The staff is very friendly and helpful. When there were a couple of people in line to check out, they immediately opened more registers. This place is very clean. read more

The benefit of flying and driving while on vacation is that you get to experience the world's largest rest stop/gas station. This was such a vibe and experience. It's more like a mini mall vs. a rest stop! Could have spent hours in here, from trying all the food options and just shopping. Everything was reasonable priced. The bathrooms were pristine, with beautiful artwork for sale. We tried everything from brisket sandwiches to the delicious flavors of beef jerky. Whatever you need, you can find it here. Staff was friendly, they were busy, but the systems they have in place work. read more

Yes! There are many places to park a trailer. You can easily pull around. I'd recommend you stay to the outside of the gas pumps.
