I was in need of a haircut for an event the same day. I was initially relieved I could get an…read moreappointment that would leave me enough time to prepare for my commitment. I arrived 10min early for my appointment, checked in and was advised to have a seat and they would be right with me. As I sat there 5 other customers arrived and were taken back for their appointments within a couple of minutes. 20 minutes after my appointment time, and now worried about making my commitment on time, I asked the receptionist what was happening with my appointment. He looked over towards the person with whom I was scheduled, and said "They're not finished with their customer" No explanation as to why, no apology, just too bad he's not ready for you. I can understand someone running late, but I should have been informed they were running late when I checked in. It would have been courteous to say something when it was past my appointment time. and acknowledge that fact. It would have been nice to know how much longer it was going to be. Without any information or concern communicated. I was left with no other option, but to cancel my appointment and race to a local barber in the hopes of getting my hair cut. Lesson learned I should have gone there in the first place as he was able to accomodate me, and keep me on schedule. This episode was a perfect example of poor customer service. No concern for my time, or value as a customer. So much could have been done to make this better, but it just wasn't a priority.

She was an exceptional colorist, a friend, and felt like family. There was a lovely memorial at the salon. I have included a picture of her station where loving photos adorn the wall. The owner of the salon, Ofeer, is a phenomenal stylist and has a heart of gold. At Yelp we support local businesses and this is just the kind of business we want to support. Yvonne answers the phone and greets you with a warm smile. She is wonderful as she schedules appointments and makes sure clients are happy and satisfied. Mila is a sweetheart. She gives great shampoos. As she massages your scalp you feel so relaxed and pampered. I don't want to leave her chair. Before Barbara passed away, she recommended that I try Angie for my styling needs. I have been going to Angie for the past 3 months. She is sweet, caring, and does a great job. I'm not very good at communicating what I'm looking for, but he both understood and did some additional things that were a big improvement. He asked if I wanted my beard lined up in a way that was easier for me to manage between trims and used a paper template to ensure he got both sides evenly. He wasn't super talkative, and I'm not either, so that was a good match! Or maybe he's chatty with clients who are chatty and just follows their lead, but either way, it was comfortable for me. The lighting is bright enough that I kept my eyes closed for a portion of the experience, and the music was a little loud for me, but it was a solid playlist. The chair was comfortable and things were impressively clean. I was there kind of early on that Sunday and so I didn't see a ton of other customers, but the few I saw seemed happy with their experience. It is good to find a shop that does a good job with beards that isn't also trying to be a whisky bar, a gentlemen's lounge, a sports bar, or a spa. Should have taken a few before and after photos to share--maybe next time! I found this little gem as the world Behan to emerge from the pandemic and I needed to move on from the home haircuts from my wife. Now, she did an amazing job and I was more than willing to continue with that routine, but she felt otherwise and sent me in search of a new barber. Based on Yelp reviews I gave Jim's a try. And am I glad I did. Staffed only by Jim, this little shop is only available by appointment - easily obtained online. It's never crowded and Covid precautions are still observed to this day.
