I asked for a long layered V cut in the back but the haircut looked like a U and it was extremely choppy. Never once did she show me the back or asked if I liked it. I was being gaslighted by the other hairstylists as if it was an amazing job. It was my fault that I was being nice about it but it turns out she was extremely inexperienced and most likely did not have a hair license. The other employees were joking about a cosmetology inspection and Julia having to go back to being a shampoo girl. Next was the hair dye, and I wanted gray dye with shadow roots. I totally understood if she could not do it and I communicated that, but she said it was okay but it would be a 2 day process because I have some red dyes. (The red dyes were not bright, it was more burgundy by the way) I went along with it because she was supposed to be the professional. After the 5-hour ordeal, the hair color ended up being dark brown/gray but it faded into a light blonde somehow. I called back to request a different hair stylist/colorist and to voice my concerns but the person dismissed my issues and said I could come in on my preferred day. Then, immediately HUNG UP ON ME. Wow! Not once did she ask what was wrong. What kind of place are they running? Anyone who is interested in this place, please do your due diligence and research your hairstylist and/or colorist. It seems as though they are throwing just anyone at the station and I felt completely taken advantage of as a person of color who has long, thick hair. I don't understand how a salon could operate this way. Never going to recommend anyone here who has textured hair.

I had booked Alexa/Salon Rose for my wedding hair and makeup back in March and was told that everything was set for my wedding day which is in September. With only three months left until my wedding, I received a message informing me that she would no longer be able to do hair and makeup for myself and my bridal party because she was concerned that our schedules would not align. This was despite the fact that my wedding date had been established and she confirmed her availability and I had been relying on her commitment. I had also already completed my bridal hair trial with her, costing $228, which I would not have booked and spent money on had I known that the wedding booking would not be fulfilled. Having to replace a wedding professional on short notice created a great deal of unnecessary stress during an already busy time. I understand that emergencies happen, but this was not an emergency situation. Being cancelled on three months before your wedding for non-emergency scheduling concerns is not something I would expect from a professional. Brides invest a lot of trust in the vendors they hire. If reliability and follow-through are important to you, I would encourage you to ask detailed questions about cancellation policies and commitment before booking. I wish Alexa the best, but I was deeply disappointed by how this situation was handled.
