They are pretty punctual here. I got a 15 min pedicure which really was that quick. When I arrived, the lady at the front took my coat. I was offered cookies and coffee (which was nice). The cookie was so crispy and I liked how the coffee was in a mug. Then I sat down and had quick and friendly service. They even gave me actual flip flops since I forgot to bring mine from home. It was definitely more of a spa experience than the pedicures I normally get. I will definitely come back.

I asked for a long layered V cut in the back but the haircut looked like a U and it was extremely choppy. Never once did she show me the back or asked if I liked it. I was being gaslighted by the other hairstylists as if it was an amazing job. It was my fault that I was being nice about it but it turns out she was extremely inexperienced and most likely did not have a hair license. The other employees were joking about a cosmetology inspection and Julia having to go back to being a shampoo girl. Next was the hair dye, and I wanted gray dye with shadow roots. I totally understood if she could not do it and I communicated that, but she said it was okay but it would be a 2 day process because I have some red dyes. (The red dyes were not bright, it was more burgundy by the way) I went along with it because she was supposed to be the professional. After the 5-hour ordeal, the hair color ended up being dark brown/gray but it faded into a light blonde somehow. I called back to request a different hair stylist/colorist and to voice my concerns but the person dismissed my issues and said I could come in on my preferred day. Then, immediately HUNG UP ON ME. Wow! Not once did she ask what was wrong. What kind of place are they running? Anyone who is interested in this place, please do your due diligence and research your hairstylist and/or colorist. It seems as though they are throwing just anyone at the station and I felt completely taken advantage of as a person of color who has long, thick hair. I had stopped straightening my hair for a few months, but I knew I needed a professional to shape and help my hair reach its full curl potential. I did some research and found Velvet Hair Studio. I was able to book an appointment online (you are able to choose which stylist and service) and my appointment started right on time. After work, having my stylist Keyana offer me some wine was much needed and much appreciated! We stared my Deva Cut with a consult where Keyana asked me what my normal routine was, explained what the Deva Cut was, and made some product and curl routine suggestions. This was so helpful to me as I had never really learned how to properly take care of my curls. I had been straightening since early childhood. My hair when I walked in had minimal volume and no real shape, "a Liberty Bell" as Keyana comically described it so I was anxious to get it styled. After my cut was finished we walked over to the hair washing station where there was still so much to learn about the washing, conditioning, and drying process for curls! I was put in a hair dryer to assist in drying and once that was finished we proceeded to style. Keyana gave me more tips which I frequently use, and even said my croutine at the time was okay. At the end of my appointment I was given a full size product to take home which I thought was AMAZING!! I left my appointment feeling confident, and ready to continue my curl journey.

She gave me a color I never thought I would be able to achieve. Aside from the color itself, the blending looks incredible, and that's not something your average stylist is always really good at. Alexis also gives great hair cuts, I'm super picky and she never cuts more off than I ask! She really takes her time with you, and cares about the end result. As for the salon itself, it's really clean and the other employees were super nice.
