She insisted that I accompany her to get her hair done, and I ended up having to bring my 3 month old grandson along so I was a little worried, but luckily, they have a comfortable sitting area. I was able to just sit and relax with the baby and watch my daughter's hair being transformed. It's a very cool place too, so I also enjoyed just looking at how they have the place decorated. I honestly never thought I would be writing a one-star review for this salon. I really liked my…read morestylist, appreciated the work she had done for me, and fully intended to continue being her client. That is probably why the way this ended was so upsetting and surprising to me. I had a full extension maintenance appointment scheduled for September, but I'm going on vacation and was hoping to have my hair done sooner. My stylist was completely booked and then going on vacation herself. I simply asked the salon whether another stylist might be able to help me. I continued trying to reach the salon through their text number, by phone, and by email. I wasn't trying to be difficult or demanding. I genuinely just wanted to know whether another stylist could do my hair before my trip. The salon was also holding additional extensions that I had already purchased and paid for, so when I eventually scheduled a consultation elsewhere, I needed to retrieve my own hair to bring with me. When I finally reached an employee by phone, I simply explained that I wanted to pick up my hair. She asked why, and I answered honestly that I had scheduled somewhere else because I needed to have it done before vacation and I haven't been able to get in touch with anyone at the salon. I thought that was the end of the conversation. Instead, shortly afterward I received a text from my stylist, who is also the owner. She told me she had spoken with the employee, accused me of being rude to her staff, and told me: "I think it's better for you to just come and get your hair and go elsewhere." She then told me she would not tolerate a client speaking to her staff that way and ended the message with: "Thanks for your business." I wasn't asking for special treatment. I wasn't angry that my stylist couldn't fit me in. I wasn't asking her to work during her vacation. I wasn't threatening to leave. I was simply trying to find another stylist who could accommodate me before my trip and, when that didn't work out, pick up the expensive extensions I had already purchased so I could have them done somewhere else temporarily. I genuinely wish someone had simply called me and said, "Hey, there seems to have been a misunderstanding. Can you tell me what happened?" I would have been more than happy to talk about it. Instead, a client who had every intention of returning was told to collect her belongings and go elsewhere. I'm attaching the relevant text messages/email because I don't want this review to become a situation where it's simply my word against someone else's. I'd rather potential clients read the actual exchange and decide for themselves how they feel about the way it was handled. I'm especially sharing this for other extension clients. Extensions are a significant investment, and in my case the salon was physically holding hair that I had already purchased. Communication and trust are incredibly important when a business is holding something expensive that belongs to you. I'm not happy to leave this review. I'm actually really disappointed that things ended this way because I didn't want to leave this salon in the first place. Unfortunately, after being spoken to this way and dismissed as a client over what I believe was a misunderstanding, I would not feel comfortable returning and cannot recommend the salon. I even waited for a response from her after I explained the misunderstanding, thinking she would at least acknowledge what happened or try to resolve things, but I never received one.

Lori Lord was my stylist and she did an AMAZING job. She foiled my hair in nice small pieces (I hate, hate, hate chunkier highlights they look so unnatural), the coloring was perfect (not too blonde) and the cut was exactly what I like. I'm used to paying much more too. She was friendly and knowledgeable. She took her time and didn't rush (another pet peeve of mine with stylists). I walked out of there a new, refreshed woman. I can't speak for all the stylists, but Lori knows her craft and I'm pretty sure I'll be back even though it's nearly an hour away from my home.

This place is legit. I gave Kristi a quick idea of what I wanted (braids and waves!) and the final result was even better than I imagined. Got so many compliments at the ceremony! As for booking, it was a breeze. There was an option to text for an appointment since the salon was closed when I reached out, and I was booking rather last minute. Response time was almost immediate. Machele and Kristi are so friendly and inviting. The only downside is I wished I lived in the area so I could go more!

However, after moving to Delaware almost 5 years ago, I tried a handful of different salons (even waiting to get my haircut until I was visiting Boston where I had a stylist I liked) until I finally found Tiana at Salon 926, who has been amazing. She is easy to talk to, always supportive of whatever hair-related requests I make, and offers honest advice when appropriate. She has never made me feel guilty about my total neglect of my hair (which has happened at other salons). As an added bonus, she always offers to curl my hair at the end, making me feel even more glam. The salon itself is clean and staff is courteous. There's a cute selection of jewelry and accessories for sale that you can browse while you wait. Making an appointment is easy --- you can request times you want online, and they'll confirm with you via email or phone. This time, despite a relatively restrictive schedule, they were able to find me an evening appointment with my preferred stylist within 1 week of my request. Prices have always been reasonable as well. Definitely planning to return on a regular basis and would highly recommend Salon 926 and Tiana to all!

I called for an appointment the gentleman who answered the was very polite and helpful. He asked a few questions as to what I was looking for and set me up with the owner Karen. The salon is very nice and clean. Is not a big salon I believe they only had three chairs but very welcoming and comfortable. Karen the owner is so nice and friendly. She makes you feel right at home. Actually all of the employees are very friendly. Karen asked me what I wanted and I showed her a couple of pictures from Pinterest for hair color and style. She brings out a couple of color samples and what she suggested would look nice together. Even the hair cut I wasn't 100% sure exactly what I wanted but she was so helpful.
