I love Bubbles! They sell laundry sheets that are the best I've tried, and reasonably priced. And I love that you can have them add scent and color to various body washes/shampoo/etc. Staff is always super friendly. My favorites have always been the organic foliating body wash under fig, patchouli or rain scents. I LOVE Bubbles. This fantastic little shop sells so many beautifully-scented handmade soaps and bath products. The soaps never dry out my skin and each bar has a wonderful lather. I always have at least one bar of Bubbles soap in my house and I get so many compliments on the fragrances. One of my favorites thus far is blackberry sage/lemongrass, but everything I've bought from them has been lovely. The owner of the shop is awesome - great customer service! I was having an issue placing an online order (yes, they have an online shop and yes, they ship!) and she kindly walked me through a step-by-step solution. To the owners of Bubbles: we recently purchased your hand sanitizer and are using it multiple times daily. It leaves our hands feeling soft and moisturized--which really helps the dryness caused by hand washing. But our bottle won't last long. Assuming you're now closed due to the shelter in place policies, I'm writing to ask if you are considering making deliveries. I'd think you would have a brisk business and one that is vital to the community--at least until supplies are more widely available. Bubbles has been a staple in my life for years. Bought stuff in high school and 35 yrs. after that I cruise through the downtown to stock up on my products. I have Never had a bad experience at this shop, always got the help I needed and many many gifts were bought here for guys and girls. I LOVE this place! The lady is so helpful! Aside from my past experiences with my Rain scented body wash (which is my finals/midterms/major paper due soap), and my cherry-almond hand soap (^_^), and all the little things I've purchased since, my life was saved by the Organic Grapeseed Lotion with essences of Eucalyptus and Lavender. I moved into an apartment that was infested with fleas, and they nearly sucked me dry! Once I put on this lotion the bites were not as itchy and the fleas packed their bags. Now that the fleas are gone, I mostly just use the lotion when I'm going somewhere were the risk of being bitten or becoming a carrier is high. I love this place. And the owner is so friendly and helpful. I have been going here for decades and dread the day she closes ( or worse, sells). I especially like the ability to scent my own soaps and bubble bath to my taste and all of the different products she carries, including the rubberduckies. A hint I would give: she knows some devine scent blends, ask her for input! Also the scrub is wonderful. They seem to have changed the ingredients for the scrub to something more eco-friendly (loofa instead of beads?) but I dont know that for sure. Came here by a spur of chance. Defintiely was not dissappointed. The associate was able to give me and my friend a run-down on what they were about, their buisness model, what makes them different, etc. We were not planning on buying anything but of couse everything was so enticing. Its hard not to buy shampoo/conditioner/soaps when they come in so many different varieties. The level of customer service was great. My friend had a lot of questions and even had some product comparison and they handled it with relative ease. The one thing that I really appreciated was the fact that they were so patient with us. When you buy a Shampoo/Conditioner/lotion, you are able to customize the scent, and they have alot of essential oils and scents to pick from. Overwhelmed with choices, my friend and I took about a good 20 minutes deciding what smelled good, what mixed well, and what we did not like. In that 20 minutes, the associate's interest in us, and her smile did not waver or wean. She was so attentive and patient, giving us recommendations, I was thoroughly impressed. Now of course, this is a boutique kind of store so dont be surprised when the prices run a little higher than your usual soaps and shampoo, but otherwise it is worth every penny! I spent the whole day online looking for peach bubble bath with no aloe for a birthday gift for my mom. I found this place online and called them and they let me know that they do not put Aloe in their bubble bath. So I ordered it online and followed up with an email letting them know if was a gift and i needed it by 7/20 at the latest. Not only did i get it several days ahead of time it was wrapped very cutely and with a handwritten note on the receipt. I was a customer of Bubbles more than 20 years ago when I went to HSU. There is something about the rain scented glycerin soap that was magical. Now 20 odd years later, I was thinking of that soap when I decided to see if they were still around. Much to my pleasant surprise, they are and they have online ordering. I DID write a review previously and I have to admit that I am an employee, but have been a happy customer ever since I first started attending college back in 1989. I didn't start working for Bubbles until the mid to late 90's. After working for a few years, I decided to get married and raise a family and stay at home rather than work. The owner was sad to see me go, but let me know that the door was always open for me to come back IF THEY HAD THE NEED. There was room for me to return to Bubbles for work in 2010 when my youngest child was ready to enter school. The owner graciously worked with my needs as a mom in relation to the hours I could work. She has been nothing but kind, understanding, and at times, caring more about me than I cared for myself. She often admits to possible blame even when blame is not hers for any miscommunication or misunderstandings. Most times she is guilty of being too soft and amiable unless it is of strictest business. Even then, her directness is gentle. It is odd that another reviewer had such a bad experience as a former employee, and I can only think that there might have been a big misunderstanding on her part. I still stand by my review as a customer before, after and during my employment times, and I speak from the heart and in truth. Bubbles still rocks and just about anyone in the Humboldt area will tell you so. read more
