This place is crazy busy even at night on a weekday. When I say night, I mean really night. So a young people hang out place. Came here at 10:30 and lucky that we got a seat. The atmosphere is so lively and loud. Not much sound proof. If you are trying to have a conversation here, I might be a bit difficult. So I came and I got the wheatgerm milk tea. It was pretty good. I like it. Not too sweet and at first when I saw the wheat on the top of my drink, I was like huh. But it turns out pretty good. I mean it doesn't bother me or that I have to put a lot of effort into chewing. I think this place must be famous for their chicken wings. Its like every table orders chicken wings. I mean what's with these wings. (I need to come back to try the wings) Overall, this place makes good bubble tea.

Large environment that can accommodate large parties but gets packed really fast. Service is good. They check on you often. Pricing is decent. We went on a Friday and was able to get wings for 63 cents. Garlic Parmesan wings was good. It's a dry rub that's not too salty or bland. Korean hot wings were not that spicy. It does get a bit sticky due to the sugar that's in the sauce mix. Overall good flavor that's a mix of spicy and sweet. Braised pork belly was bland. Very strong flavor and odor of herbs that it was cooked in. Fried rice was good. Comes with Chinese sausage and shrimp. Udon was good. I'm not a big fan of bean sprout so it was a bit too much in my opinion but the flavor of the dish was good. Garlic parm fries tasted like the wings except with fries. Bubble tea: I got the lonely which is passion fruit and mango slush with vanilla ice cream. I got it with boba which was a mistake because the slush started hardening the boba. Avocado mango with pudding: had a rich creamy taste from the avocado and was sweet with the mango. One of the best smoothies I've had. I heard they run out often.

Wow. This place was PACKED. We went at 7:15 pm just looking for bubble tea - and that was a strategic error. Haha. We walked in and the line up to get a table was about 20 people deep. Apparently, the thing to do here is order chicken wings on the cheap, dine-in, and drink your bubble tea. We instead asked if we could order the bubble tea to go, but drink at an open counter top that wasn't being used. The host (politely) said "no", which was unfortunate. The bubble tea itself was good. They ran out of avocado by the time we were there. We order two What's Up (coconut and Taro), one Malaya (mango and coconut), one Romantic Calgary (coconut, almond, Horlick), and one Puppy Love (mango and peach). So overall I'd say that the bubble tea was "good". Nothing special or exceptional - just really good. If this place was in Vancouver, I wouldn't go out of my way to search it out. No half-star reviews, so I'm only giving it a "3". Would have been better if there was dedicated indoor or summer outdoor space for people to drink their bubble tea and relax - given that the location was in the middle of a high traffic / non-picturesque part of town, the bubble tea itself was a tad more expensive that what I see at over places (only by $1 but still), and it was crowded. In Calgary - I've had better bubble tea and dessert.

Friends and I were having a foodie day so we decided to refresh ourselves with bubble tea. We came around their opening time so it wasn't busy. Found parking quick but I heard it would fill up fast later on. Their bubble tea menu is extensive! It took me a good 5 minutes to go through their menu, then go back to narrow down my choices. I like trying floral foods and flavors so I ordered the Bombshell. My drink consisted of almond, rose, and peach. Very mild, decently floral. Most of the time, if there's more than one flavour then it gets overpowered by the other but mine was great! You can really taste the almond under the peach and rose flavors, so I was pleasantly surprised. The sago were also nicely prepared so there were no frozen or uncooked parts at all. Service was fast and friendly. Place was neat and tables not sticky. Would visit again next time I'm in town!

This is my fourth time here, I'm from out of town and every time I visit, I ALWAYS have a good experience. We come here for the wings and special fried rice. It's always cooked perfect, flavour is on point and service is FAST! When I say FAST, I mean it. Food comes out, what feels like 5 mins after you order! My go-to BBT order is the almond black sesame milk tea. I ask for cold 25% sugar. Really good. It can get pretty loud in the restaurant, so if you're looking for a nice sit-down-and-talk kind of atmosphere you should avoid this place. Other than that, the food was good, service was fast and might I add, prices are reasonably cheap! Update Oct 22/19 Haven't been here since January of this year. But I believe it my review reflects it's current quality and serv

Great place for bubble tea and wings. I especially like the garlic Parmesan flavoured wings. it seemed really busy and yet everybody was really nice to us.I'm generally not a big fan of places like this. it's the style of food that I'm not generally a big fan of dark there's plenty of sugar in bubble tea and the wings are kind of tasty but it's not the type of food I'm usually into. Food - like I said above, I especially like the garlic Parmesan flavoured wings. For the bubble tea - I really should've ordered the mango flavour of the bubble tea. I ended up ordering the almond and coffee, which are both separately very tasty however I feel like I should've separated them into either just coffee or just almond but not both together. Prices were a little more than what I'd expect for the type of food. It might be just my habitual visits to other cities that gives me that impression though. Service was excellent. The server changed our table immediately once she saw how many people were there. And was appropriately friendly with us. Much appreciated! :) However, my colleagues were really into it so I ended up having a little bit of every drink. Still love th mango flavour. Great snack for a really hot day - bubble tea really did the trick.

They have really good selection of bubble tea and I've been coming here for over 10 years now. I've loved every drink I've ordered they know how to make perfect pearls which is key to a great bubble tea. This place is great for families and the best place for wings. The key is to order the seasoning salt wings and order the hot wing or honey garlic sauces on the side so you get crispy wings still. Otherwise you get soggy hot wings.

This place has good wings. We like the Taiwanese spice, lemon pepper and mild. We have ordered takeout twice and they take about 5-10 minutes. An order of wings is about $8.60 and has 10 wings.

Bubblemania Cafe is the perfect place to go to with a group of friends or family. I typical we go here for their wings! Their wings are decent sized and have pretty good flavour selection. They have a huge selection of bubble tea (boba) flavours. To get cheap wings everyone at the table has to buy a drink! To be honest, I never like any of the drinks here. I feel they are a bit watered down with a lot of artificial taste. We ordered the aloe vera peach flavour and jasmine milk tea. Aloe vera peach was okay, a bit sugary with a lot of ice. The Jasmine Tea was watered down, we asked for no sugar and it taste like jasmine tea with no milk (but it looks like the put a splash of milk?) For the wings, we ordered Korean hot, garlic parm, and roasted garlic. The korean hot was delicious, a bit spicy, and sticky! Garlic Parm has a lot of garlic flavour with parm, if you like garlic and Parm get this! As for the roasted garlic.... it taste like wings with seasoning salt or MSG it was still good but does not have any flavour of garlic.... Overall, it was good and this place is consistently busy! Their service was fast and you will get ur drink and food fast!

Review: dinner. Bubblemania has always been a staple in Calgary as one of the first cafes to offer BBT. It's always been our go to place for a BBT night out. It's been around for ages and there's been lots of changes. Unfortunately, the changes are not for the better. Bottomline: this cafe has gone downhill over the last little while. It's often sold out of certain items and their staple wings have worsened on both quality and taste. No longer the go to place for BBT. Atmosphere: depending on the time of day, this cafe would fill to capacity and get very loud. Conversations often turn to yelling contests. Decor is somewhat modern but feels like nothing comes together as a whole. Service is good and fast. Food: mango avacado bbt has always been my favorite. In fact, I got my co-workers hooked onto that stuff. But sadly, they were out of avacados. So I asked for the pink guava. Out. Nectarine. Out. At this point, if I was batting in baseball I'd strike out. Finally I settled on white peach, which the server had to check to make sure they had it in stock. And this has happened numerous times during previous visits over the last several months. The wings used to be awesome, but today they were just average. They were still fried well, but sizes were inconsistent, some bones were broken, and spices/sauces were spread very unevenly. We also ordered the house fried rice as well to "balance our diet." It had a pretty good flavor but was just a tad bit too greasy. Value: Average comparing to other BBT places. Bubblemania has disappointed me one too many times. I will not be heading back.

Oolong MT, 25% sweet, grass jelly
    Viet N.

From an American and Californian standpoint, and strictly on the oolong MT with 25% sweetness, I love this place! The flavor was on point, the sweetness level was just right, and the grass jelly had just the right amount of firmness without it feeling awkward in my mouth. This place will probably get a lot of flak from those who have been more exposed to bubble tea places, particularly from Southern California, because it's not as sweet as they're used to, but I think this is a good thing. The health detriments as a result of ingesting too much sugar are real, and it was refreshing to indulge in a milk tea drink that truly felt like a quarter amount of sugar/simple syrup was put in there, rather than requesting 30% sugar at most milk tea places in the States and getting a drink that tastes like 50-80% sugar. For the amount of milk tea places there are in Calgary (which is not too many), this is a decent option for those who crave that bobalife while in the Great North.

If you're looking for a Asian cafe that offers good eats and tasty treats, then Bubblemania is the place for you! They have daily specials (including 40 cents wings Mon-Thurs, 60 cents on Fri!) and a very comprehensive drink menu that would quench any thirst you may have! Although the parking lots is a bit of a cluster to deal with (I'd recommend parking in the residential area just behind the strip mall and walk over) if go during non peak times it'll be worth it.

Avocado milk tea & Taro milk tea
    Xiaobin W.

Super busy at 9pm. Although the place is famous for its drinks (i.e. bubble tea, smoothie etc.), the surprise came from the seafood fried rice, which is usually the dish I least likely order. The chef was very generous and put lots of baby shrimps, eggs and squid. The rice was not sticky at all and fully absorbed the flavour from all the other ingredients. Very tasty! Chicken wings were freshly fried. Crispy skin, tender meat, standard seasoning, but nothing more special. Good choice for snack.
