This place is a little different for a sports bar, but in a decent way, chill and fancier vibe than a normal sports bar. It's has an open area but with multiple areas /room to escape and converse if needed. Two bars and couches in front of a biggest TV in bar I believe. I had a burger and fries, burger was very good, when I say a good burger, it alone was worth the visit, fries were fries, I just don't like these type of fries. If in the area and looking for something decent you can't go wrong, well at least I didn't on this visit, will go back for sure. Hope you enjoy as I did.

We ordered a lot of food nachos, wings, and the pulled pork sandwich. The brussel sprouts were amazing. The pulled pork was a little salty but the wings made up for it. The nachos were also great. The reviews complimented the food, service and atmosphere so we gave it a try and we were glad we did! We walked into to a classic sports bar that had old school sports bar character. The staff immediately greeted us and promptly led us to our table. The menu is large and varied. One surprise was that they had lobster bisque- we all ordered that as an appetizer. My son ordered wings with fries and coleslaw and my wife and I ordered potato skins. The bisque was very good. When they brought out the rest of the order, we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the buffalo wings. For some reason, so many restaurants have turned to serving miniature, anemic chicken wings thinking the customer doesn't care. Bungalow Joes is one of the rare places to serve legitimate chicken wings and legs. They were huge and delicious!!! The potato skins were smaller but full of flavor. The coleslaw was a winner- they called it Caribbean coleslaw and described it as sweeter than typical coleslaw. The coleslaw was sweeter and my son and wife loved it. The fires were good, as well. All in all, we had a great lunch at Bungalow Joe's. Our waitress was great, the food was legit and the atmosphere was perfect for a sports bar. The wings ensured that we will be back. Thank you Bungalow Joe's!!!

The pickle chips were a little on the salty side. The fish dinner entree was really good with well apportioned pieces of fish, fresh onion rings and cole slaw which was a little weird with the pineapple in them but still tasty. My server was really nice and ensured everything was delivered in a timely manner. Next time I will try a burger and see how that goes.

I also love the corners with comfy couches and chairs. Plenty of beer to enjoy plus a few slushies - although those are so sweet that I'm not a fan. You can bring in your own food or order delivery from a few spots in the Gaslight District. I especially appreciate it's a family friendly space because my sons are teens. It was so much fun to enjoy music bingo with them while eating pizza from Parlour. Outdoor seating as well - lots of it. Easy street parking. Quick service. Follow them on social to keep up with their events. I'm going to start suggesting this space for more meet ups with friends.

They had a ton of beers, but we opted for the slushies -- the Pineapple one was hot weather perfection, and the other was so incredibly strong i couldn't finish it. I also ordered an Old fashioned, and it was an ultimate concoction with a giant rock of ice. You know an Old fashioned will be good when they don't serve it with chipped ice. We hung out for a few hours and played cards, and the bartenders were friendly and accommodating. I wish this place was closer to us cause we would be regulars! At the very least, we will return in cooler weather to enjoy the outside patio.

What makes a 5-star bar? Heavy pours or creative cocktails combined with a little bit of ambiance?…read moreMaybe a witty bartender? The Center Bar is a real estate agent's dream: it offers location, location, location. It's situated right in the middle of the Derby City casino floor. You're gambling and thirsty? A cold drink is steps away. Want to watch pretty much any sport on TV? You can get that, too. I consumed what may be the saltiest Bloody Mary I've ever had. And I like salty. Thank goodness for the beer chaser. On reflection, I would stick to the bottled offerings. The bar's specialties read like an '80s child's dream: Bahama Mama, Tequilia Sunrise, Long Island Tea. They're appealing to the casino crowd who probably can't operate their smart phones but have somehow figured out the complicated video slots and don't mind the constant noise (you can't banter with the bartender if you can't hear them). If you want food at the Center Bar, you can order from Eats. You'll have to go get it yourself and eat out of plastic to-go containers, but again, you don't have to drive somewhere in the dark or rain. And bottles of water are free. Which will help dilute that salty Bloody Mary.

We dropped in on Oaks night and even though it was pretty busy we were able to grab two seats at the bar. The only downfall of this was the time of day and the position of the Sun blaring through the garage door windows blasting me in the face however that cannot be helped or avoided, just a heads up for anyone who is super sensitive to the sun and arrives around sunset. I started with a Sunset Spritz and looked over the menu, there are so many great options to choose from and I was really torn on what to get but decided on the blackened Mahi Mahi sandwich (you can also get grilled or fried, but the bartender recommended blackened) and an order of sweet potato fries. The fries come with a side of a smoky pineapple chutney of some sort and even though I'm not a huge fan of anything that's really smoky it was absolutely delicious and a great combo. Seriously 10/10 recommend. The sandwich was also fire! I am extremely picky about sea food, especially since I used to live near the cost so it was always fresh and it definitely did not disappoint. I was so full when we left lol My husband got the beef sliders as his entrée with a side of regular fries tossed in roasted garlic pepper. I tried them and they were just OK. The sweet potato fries are definitely where it's at! I am really looking forward to going back and trying out some new items like the Cheeseburger Hand pies, Chicken tenders or one of their boozy milkshakes ... it sounds delicious doesn't it!

If you like Mussel and Burger, you'll like this. And pay about $10 more per meal. The burgers are mainly in the $15-$18 range. For JUST a burger. Add an extra $5-$7 for fries and you're looking at a BURGER meal topping out around $25. That's more than you'll pay for a burger at any fine steakhouse. Shakes are $9-$15! $1 extra for ranch! We just spent $120 for 3 people. For BURGERS. I'm not sure who decided on this price point but it doesn't fit. The vibe of the place is very casual. The food itself tasted fine. I don't recommend the zucchini fries. Burgers are too tall - with 2 patties on them. We had to eat them in sections with forks and knives (no thanks). Service was very slow. I don't think our server actually ever checked on us the entire time we had our food. Towards the end of the meal, I noticed the server had taken my soda away. And never brought a new one. I have no idea why. The grass bull outside makes for a fun pic. The restaurant has a great ambiance and offers outdoor seating as well. We won't be back.

Noise level was moderate during our visit since 3 football games were playing on the big screen TVs placed throughout the space and patrons were hyped. There is also an outdoor covered patio dining area with TVs, but it was empty due to today's late summer heat and humidity. We had 20 people in our group and waitstaff were excellent with handling such a large number of diners. We were seated at 3 tables and all of our food orders arrived within 10 minutes from first to last item. Very impressive! We had 2 servers and 2 food runners and they were on top of their entire operation during our almost 2-hour visit. Drink orders and refills were always fulfilled within minutes. An 18% gratuity was automatically added to our checks due to our large party size, but definitely worth it (and even more!) due to the stellar service provided. I tried the blackened chicken and shrimp salad with avocado and mandarin oranges and enjoyed the combination. Fresh and delicious and my favorite item was the flavorful shrimp. The chicken tended to be slightly dry. Unsweetened ice tea was a bit weak. My nearby table mates had orders for Moscow mules, margaritas, and wine from the bar, and food items included chili, nachos, flatbreads, buffalo chicken, garden salads, chicken and waffles, crispy fish, and Caesar salad. These dishes all looked very appealing and everyone was complimentary of the food and drinks. Looking forward to returning to this spot and definitely recommend.
