Small casual diner. Because of sampling food throughout the town, we decided to split a cheese burger and fries. The sourdough bun was flavorful and soft but did not fall apart as we ate our burger. The 1/3 pound patty was nicely seasoned and grilled. My favorite was the fries. They were delivered HOT. They were skinny fries that were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I wasn't expecting a lot based on reviews, but really liked this place. We had 6 adults and 2 children and everyone was satisfied. I got a chicken sandwich and found it to be juicy, flavorful and filling. My husband and I shared some cheese fries which was a little weird with shredded cheese, but with a little time, the hot fresh fries melted it. Everything is clearly made to order and fresh. The burgers were good, but almost too huge to enjoy. My boyfriend got the double patty burger and it fell apart almost instantly. I got the basic cheeseburger and thought it was delicious but also a little too "stacked" so it was hard to eat without getting burger all over your face and it falling apart. I thought my burger was excellent. Thick beef patty on a big toasted bun...my mouth is watering just thinking about it. My girlfriend's burger was a little over done so she was less impressed. My friend and I ate at BubbaLu's for lunch in June 2019. We had been at the spa for a treatment, walked out the front door and smelled the wonderful smells from BubbaLu's across the street. We immediately set out to eat here and were not disappointed. The owners were very friendly, told us all about the area (as we were visiting from NC)and made suggestions about places to visit. The cheeseburgers were amazing and freshly made. The grilled onions are a nice addition. Worst service ever, didnt even eat the food! We wanted a dog so bad and they didn't get our order right and took back our food and never came back. Went to counter 30 minutes later and said we were next, uh no way. We asked for our money back and they refunded us but they said since we had our drink they were charging us. Burgers were good portions as were fries, onion rings and shakes. Two adults and two teenagers were full after 3 burgers, a chicken sandwich, one order of both fries and onion rings. Kids had milkshakes, we had water. Now the reason this is a 3 star review: Burgers were all over cooked. We were never asked how we wanted them cooked. Chicken was very dry. Milkshakes were too runny. More milk than ice cream. Chocolate was good, just very rich. Vanilla was good. We were charged for water! Every morsel was gone from our baskets and we paid what we expected to pay for a prime location in a tourist town, about $44 before tip. read more

The absolute worst "restaurant" I've ever been to. Extremely slow service, extremely RUDE owners, extremely unhappy customers throughout the place and you DON'T get what you order. Placed 3 orders one behind the other. The first order came out after about 20 minutes but the burgers were medium well at best, which I only eat well done hamburger meat. They didn't ask so I assumed they would be well done since nothing indicated otherwise. I sent my burger back to be cooked more. My sisters who were still waiting for their food went to tell them they want s well done burgers. The people beside us asked if we called ahead because they had been waiting a LONG time for their food. We checked on the other order at least 3 other times all the while 2 other tables had their food delivered only to find out their order was wrong! The old lady owner behind the counter cooking yelled out R-I-C-K which apparently is the name their ticket was under. Rick got up and told the lady he knows how to spell his name but wanted his correct order! They finally settled things but we're not happy and I don't think they ever got their correct order. Meanwhile our other 2 orders came out as me and my sister finished our food!! One burger was almost raw and was ordered with grilled onions. The onions were still cold, so BARELY grilled. She took it back to have the burger and onions cooked and the old lady was complaining. My sister asked for her money back and them to keep the food and the old man owners said "everybody wants their money back"!! Over an hour later my sisters burger was edible to her liking and order and the old witch lady came to our table. She said you wanted it in a hurry and onions take a while to caramelize! And she stormed off! How rude can you possibly be to your customers. The old man came back to see what the problem was and we said they didn't cook to order and he interrupts saying but you ate it. We fixed it right?! He said come in the spring or fall and it's better because they are too busy right now. RUDE RUDE RUDE and inefficient!! Do NOT eat here u less you have time to waste and want to send your food back several times!! If I could figure out how to give one tenth of a star I would!! read more

***WARNING*** Very unsafe food practices. My group observed the cook handling the raw burgers then going right to fixing the cooked burgers up with all the toppings without washing her hands. We sat at the bar and saw her do this with every order!!! She used a the same towel to swat a bug that was used to wipe her hand and other utensils. Stopped at the bathhouses and my 12 year old who didn't want to go on the tour had been told to find a place for lunch. When we exited he was standing on the pouch pointing at red and white stripped awning across the street. We told him if you picked a bad place it's on you kid. How impressed we were. Now it's a bit open and the unpainted concrete floors might worry some but just grab a menu look it over and order at the counter. There was 6 of us and all the food came out hot and fresh. Not a bad place to stop and eat if your looking for burgers or dogs. Although watching the lady cook the burgers, she added no seasoning(maybe preseasoned) it was pretty tasty. Don't expect to be in a rush since it's made to order so the food came hot and fresh. I can only speak for the burgers but the hot dogs seem pretty delicious. I was expecting more fries though for having to pay it separately. Maybe that's just me, I have a pretty good appetite. Burgers are 100% angus burgers formed by hand. No frozen patties here. There's a large counter space for seating and several tables although it is not a large establishment by any means.
