Very...VERY...disappointed they discontinued the shredded chicken. Was by far the best protein there. The beef is not good flavor at all, crispy chicken is ok. Grilled chicken cubes are decent. Just not the same without the shredded chicken. May go back but probably not unless they bring back the shredded chicken. read more

Bad service. Tall lanky girl took 10 mins to take my order and then had an attitude towards me when I didn't even say anything. She on her phone and not doing anything. This has happened multiple times. Place has gone downhill. read more

Stood around at the counter way longer than I was comfortable with - while employees filled online and phone orders. They picked up a phone call before helping me. Just walked out. Not the first time I've been completely underwhelmed at a Bubbakoos. Went to Five Guys next door. Was eating freshly made food in five minutes. read more

great hospitality awesome people and portions I went in there and all I felt was good vibes. read more

We went here for the first time for lunch, a few friends have told me that other Bubba Koos are great. I found the food to be bland, and overall processed, guacamole being squeezed out of a bag that was premade somewhere, pico de Gallo that tasted like it was made a few days ago is not what I'm looking for when you spend over $30 for a couple of small tacos and a burrito. The restaurant also had stainEd ceiling tiles, TVs that were not on and the servers behind the counter looked like they just woken up and we're not super friendly. The one person who made my burrito put the tortilla in the hot press for maybe three seconds, why even bother? I would rather go to Qdoba, Surf Taco in Seaside Park or Beach tacos. read more

Food is okay. Not enough chicken in my dish and we got two of the same dish. One had more chicken than the other. A little too expensive for a little dish. Left the tip in front of the woman at the register. A thank you would be nice but maybe she was not having a great day. read more

Everything looks good but it wasn't what I expected. I got a steak burrito and the steak was extremely bad. The steak had a strange taste to it and I couldn't finish it. read more

Don't order online because they ignore your order. I stood there for 20 minutes watching them serve everyone that came in(ahead of me who ordered 30+ minutes ago). Rude. Not right. Just go there and place your order. It's a lot quicker. read more

one of my favorite places to eat! they're 10 times better than chipotle, they actually give you the portion sizes you are paying for. plus if you get tacos, chips are included for free! read more

This place makes huge burritos. And exactly how you want it made. And they make it right in front of you so you can see there's no funny business going on with your food. A bit pricey, but worth it. Grab a lot of napkins, you'll need them. And don't attempt eating one while driving! Not recommend..lol read more

Bubbakoo's, my favorite Tex Mex spot that always has me hungry for more. Everything on their menu is mouthwatering and never fails to give a less amount. They satisfy their customers by loading up their order and it makes the food ten times better! Last night I had a huge burrito bowl with brown rice, black beans, double steak, pico de gallo, cheese, and guacamole. Every ingredient on the bowl blended so well together to form an amazing and filling burrito bowl! The steak was so juicy and delicious, the black beans were wet and blended well into the rice and cheese, the pico de gallo was also wet and it tasted great! They put so much cheese that covered the bowl like a blanket and it melted over! And of course the brown rice, the base of everything was solid. My only critique with my bowl is the guacamole. I feel like it lacked a little on the bowl and the put it off the side of the bowl. It should have been on top. But the guacamole itself was really good and creamy! This bowl had me enjoying myself, but on the other hand, my side, the chips and guacamole, didn't live up to any hype. The chips had no salt, therefore no flavor. The guacamole, like I said, was really good, but it would have been better on a good chip, not a plain one. But besides these downsides, Bubbakoo's still stands as my favorite Tex Mex spot and the main entree will never let me down! read more

Bubbakoo's Burritos - Mexican Near Me - Toms River, New Jersey

I thoroughly enjoyed Bubbakoo's. The staff was the first thing that caught my attention because they were so welcoming and friendly. They helped us with the whole selection process as well. Bubbakoo's reminded me a lot of the Chipotle chain. You pick your meat then you choose your toppings. I got the chicken and shrimp burrito. I chose black beans, cheese, rice, corn, sour cream, and mild salsa as my toppings. It was phenomenal. I was super full about halfway through due to the size of the burrito. It truly hit the spot. Overall, Bubbakoo's was delicious. The combination of the staff and the food made it an easy choice to give it a solid 4 star review. I will definitely be coming back and I highly recommend it to anyone. read more

So I like to go before a movie. This place is pricey and the weird thing is they don't give you corn chips with your meals!? It's grabbable comfort food! Tatertots order asap they take a little longer. The burrito ones are a guilty yummy! The one thing I like is the options and it is tasty... But I don't like that they don't explain the options and when you spend $60 you don't get corn chips and salsa and the food isn't hot read more

today i went to the bubbakoos on 37 in toms river. i was served by the sweetest girl. she had blonde hair and piercings, unfortunately i did not get a name. she was very friendly and really pleasant to be in the presence of. she was ready to serve to our needs and was very efficient. she has made mine and my boyfriends day just by how nice she was. we have had some interesting, not so good, experiences at this location but this one experience has topped them all. we will definitely be back! read more

Okay, I am doing this, writing a one star. We work hard for our money and $32.00 for tip, delivery and inedible food that went in the trash. Wow, what do you call queso??? Chemical, gooey tasting crap all over my food. Guac that has no flavor and a large bag of chips with enough guac for about 6 chips. I was hungry and so looking forward to a great Mexican meal. Also, ordered brown rice, got white. It didn't matter cause it was all covered with cheap cheese product. Open a restaurant, serve good, fresh, real food! Simple. read more

Yesterday was my first time visiting this restaurant. The staff was very welcoming and funny. The menu's ingredients is limited. I had take out. My food was luke warm to cold BEFORE I even left the resturant. I said something to the server and he told me to microwave it when I got home. Once heated up food was flavorful. I will go back and try again. Last thing ... It is very very expensive for what you get $ $ $ read more

Clean facility, good prices, good food. Little skimpy on meat-and they charge extra. HOWEVER, the service, taste and quality make up for it. If you are from around the area and know of Surf Taco, it is a lot like that, but no bar, and less to choose from. I enjoy that it is build your own, but would love it if they had brown rice. Overall, the experience was really fun. My kids and I all left there laughing and smiling. Can't wait to go back! read more

I am disgusted to say that my favorite Bubbakoo's location has become my LEAST favorite. So rude to me upon arrival no greeting, no eye contact, and they looked so miserable and treated me the exact same way. I saw that they had a discount for veterans, which my boyfriend who was with me at the moment had his cac card. And he said "yeah I guess if he got it." Then we couldn't hear him when he was saying the total and asked how much it was again and he repeated himself and then called me bro. Smfh, wish these good food chains would hire people that give them a good look. read more

This week the food critics from toms river north visited our buddies over at bubbakoos burritos. Bubbakoos hooked us up with delicious egg rolls which had a hint of spices which gave it great flavor. We also were given free tater tots, fries, and drinks which we are thankful for. Finally I was able to try the burrito along with others and I can say it was better than chipotle. Bubbakoos had an awesome atmosphere and felt like home and look forward to going back for seconds and I'll have to try the chiwawa due to my friends saying theirs hit the spot read more

Came here for a lunch fix when i was down visiting my cousin. She recommended this place and it was awesome. Their mango salsa was really good, definitely worth trying if you like mangos. The sizes are pretty decent and the staff was pretty cool. I got take out so we didn't sit inside buy from walking through it was pretty relaxed and had a chipotle feel. read more

Love this place but lately I've been very let down. Today they messed up my simple chicken and shrimp Burrito. Some how it wound up being shredded chicken and buffalo shimp. When I corrected him he really didn't seem to thrilled to fix his mistake. So needless to say I bought a lunch that was gross AND WAS CHARGED FULL PRICE. They seem more worried about saying hi and trying to up sell you on some guacamole or mango salsa or a desert. They should worry about getting the order right. I'd would much rather go to Chipotle and get e. coli as long as they get my order right. read more

Was thoroughly dissapointed. I ordered a steak bowl with nothing extra and it was $10.15 There was barely any steak and the man put way too many jalapeños. The people working didn't have a great attitude either. Unimpressed and won't return. read more

I'm mixed about this place. They're okay, but for the price, I think I expected more. The serving was generous in terms of the rice, veggies and sauce but the meat was definitely skimpy. Service and cleanliness were okay. So far, tried the Taco Salad and the A1 steak burrito. The taco salad I suppose is the best deal since you get a generous serving of vegetables. The A1 steak burrito was tasty but the serving of the meat was just not enough. Chips with salsa were $1.99 not too bad since you get a whole bag but beware, it's just one small cup of salsa. Tip: Don't try the buffalo sauce and that's not even a dare. read more

Took 10 min for someone to acknowledge I was waiting. Finally took my order. Buffalo chicken bowl. They put the buffalo sauce on the rice instead of the chicken. Ran out of rice so they filled the bowl with lettuce ran out of ground beef for my husbands tacos so they left one basically empty. Waited another 15 min after I paid for the buffalo cauliflower. while 6 girls stood there the cauliflower waiting on the counter, the one girl who was actually working stopped what she was doing to finish the cauliflower. Worst experience I've had here. And we come here once a week. Not after that though. Highly disappointed. read more

Bubbakoo's Burritos - Burrito full of goodness. - Mexican Near Me - Toms River, New Jersey

They are okay at best. The Truth of the matter is if your not there ordering in front of them they will screw up your order. Every time. And you can't blame a specific person because they have new staff every time you go in. If you want your meal the way you want it, show up in person. The amount of extra money I spent on "added" things, and they messed it up, I could of gotten a few free meals. read more

Solid chain, good variety, made in front of you. Double Buffalo chicken wraps to die for. Quick and easy, eat it!

Maybe it's just me, the reviews here aren't that bad... But I think this place is inedible. And that queso dip is dreadful.

It's just ok. They over do it on the rice - there's more rice on the burrito than anything else. Burritos weren't really that warm. Breast chicken was over cooked - almost hard. If you have to eat here I'd stick with quesadillas. People there were nice though. read more

Highly disappointed. We ordered a kids meal and a 2 for $22 but the total was $40 plus $4 tip. Realized they charged us incorrectly and the charge you a $2 upgrade on each taco to get steak or shrimp. It wasn't even that great. The tacos were ok, but nothing to rave about and the chips had no salt and tasted a bit stale. :/ we were looking to find a good burrito and taco place that was closer than driving to Jackson or Silverton. read more

Omg this is the best place for burritos and other great dishes . The atmosphere is delightful and the employees are magnificent they truly aim to please . The food is top shelf the ingredients are always fresh and made to order the portions are huge the place is kept like your mom's kitchen and I highly recommend Bubbakoos Burritos . Just one thing to remember all locations are not as great as this one for instance the Bayville locations offers little to be desired as far as cleanliness . I'm sorry but I call em as I see em lol thanks read more

They make it that much more adventurous, trimmed the way you want it. Big portions. Im stuffed just thinking about it.

The first time I went the staff was amazing and the food was great, but the second time the staff was just ok and the food was lacking in meat. I told the guy the my taco didn't have enough chicken and he just stared and wouldn't even fix the problem! When I pay 8 dollars for 3 small tacos I want the correct amount of meat in it and no matter how great the staff is it will be hard to go back again read more
