I went for the prawn and chicken jambalaya but asked for it without the chicken, Alex said that was perfectly fine to. This was an amazing dish, full of flavour and really big portion size, it must of looked like I didn't like the dish because there was a lot left. Alex checked to make sure I enjoyed the dish. (Honestly it was just too much for me but cooked perfectly). My partner order the black and blue burger with a side of onion rings. He had it scoffed in no time and really enjoyed it. They have quite a large menu that has something to suit everyone, they even have a separate vegetarian menu too. I wasn't going to go for dessert but once I seen they had pavlova the sweet tooth kicked in. He ordered the key lime pie. Both were devoured.. Good food, great service!

It was pretty busy inside but we were seated quickly and ordered some cokes. The buffet was huge, offering loads of different options so you could really try things that you never had before. Their black bean was nice and as were the ribs! Yum. I managed to go up twice, trying out lots of different things and my brother went a third, as you do! Then we had the nice Ice cream and fruit on offer which finished it all off rather nicely! The food was hot and seemed to be pretty fresh, obviously doing a nice turnover at lunchtime! Not quite as good as China King in Belfast but it's pretty up there.

The staff were friendly and helpful, even taking trouble to bring more lamb (chops in thick sauce, actually not very Chinese) which had run out when we arrived. Afterwards there was ice cream, with jelly and fruit which was better than the main course. It is also a bring your own bottle place. Somewhere like this needs to be very busy to work, because the food shouldn't sit for long, but Kopo wasn't, although perhaps we were just weren't there at the optimum time.

The pizza and pasta menu is mostly chicken orientated with some beef, some pork and some vegetarian. We opted for a chicken based 18" between two with a Diet Coke and a sparkling water. The sparkling water was a generous portion. The Coke was 330ml which is fine as I'm now refusing to accept 200ml bottles because I'm really sick of Coca Cola just ripping people off: they claim 'rising costs' for gassy artificially sweetened filtered water so how come I can now buy champagne cheaper ml by ml. So our pizza was rectangular, impressively huge and cooked in intense wood fire heat. This produced a thin, delicious pizza base. The chicken was simply that, fresh chicken breast with tomato sauce, fresh tomatoes, red cabbage and, surprisingly, lettuce, not your usual pizza ingredient but welcome nonetheless. The mozzarella cheese seems real and not that rubbish made in a laboratory without any real cheese in it. The pizza was liberally dosed with garlic mayonnaise and a chilli mayonnaise sauce. The mayonnaise is factory produced and vegetable oil based. The chilli and garlic mayos were also on each table if more is needed. So all in all it was better than I thought, with pretty good service and friendly young staff. It's 3.5 stars and fish and olives would make it 5 star.

When I have gone I've got the salted chili chicken, my favorite Chinese dish, and it's always pretty good. What disappoints me about the place is the decor, which although is practical and clean, certainly lacks much in the way of style. If this place was in the centre of Belfast, I doubt it would have lasted. Basically Yum Yum is a cheap and cheerful Chinese take away that does exactly what it says on the tin.

The menu satisfied me that it was of sufficient interest to proceed inside. I had a lovely whipped feta and filo salad. I've been back since then and had mushrooms on toasted sourdough, which was possibly even nicer. I also had nicer seating on the second visit. It was earlier in the lunch period and therefore busier but this meant that I was shown to the upstairs seating. This is a brighter area with more daylight and lighter woodwork, with the tables surrounding the stairwell.

We had to double back to get access as it's not exactly in a prime location (keeps prices down) and parking ain't generous. It's functioning insofar as service goes. The girl at the counter only wants to know what you want to eat and drink and if it's cash or card. No banter or shooting the breeze. Once the order is placed your receipt has the number that's called when your food is cooked. We got our usual go to's: chilli ribs, chilli king prawns and salted chilli chicken and all were very good. We sat in and seating is also functional, nearly comfortable but a hellava lot more comfy than Mc D's. While their menu shows photos there are dishes that Waka doesn't do like lemon chicken, duck w/pancakes (yet photographed on their menu) and there ain't no beansprouts (yet photographed on their menu). I do like stir fried thin noodles with beansprouts and onion but you'll not get this here. They don't offer cashew nut dishes nor ginger. But my biggest issue is no fresh red chilli here. May be once properly up and running fresh chillies will appear as they are a must.

The menu choices hadn't changed very much but the prices have sure increased by 20% 30% in most cases and I'm cynical enough to think that it's not wholly justifiable. I do understand some costs have risen but suspect some price gouging too. We had a range of food: beef and chicken burgers, steaks and a vegetarian. Now pasta and vegetables have not risen 30%. Nor have spuds. The food was excellent, with one annoying exception - the baked Alaska. It was far too granular sugar loaded, the ice cream was mean and poor tasting, there was very little raspberry coulis, the sponge wasn't spongy and still worse it had frozen sliced strawberries within. Clearly the dessert was in the freezer to go to the hot oven in its iron skillet and it woulda worked but for the science. Baked Alaska works as the meringue insulates the ice cream to keep it frozen while the outside browns. So the frozen sliced strawberries benefit from the insulation and also stay frozen. Just stop putting strawberries into a dessert to be pre frozen and add to the dessert post cooking. I won't knock a star for this as it's easily remedied. The service was tip top and the servers were real attentive. One of the attractions of places like this was that you got a bargain so you also went more often but those days are gone and now with prices coming much closer to the top notch places like Fitzpatricks while the food offerings aren't commensurately better just more money it's more likely that folks will go there so price gouging can be counter productive.

This seemed efficient and fairly up-to-speed. Everything was going ok until the food started to arrive out. Cutlery was thrown in the middle of our very long table in a pile. They must have been thinking "help yourselves, because you're not worth us giving table service?". I'd trust this wouldn't happen with tables of 4 or 2, so if you're a larger group, forget about expecting the basics of table service. Grab them yourselves. Food arrived out and very few of us were wowed. I had seafood tagliatelle which consisted of tiny chunks of salmon, a few prawns and 2 crab claws - over-drowned in a thick, sickening creamy sauce. That's what ruined it for me. At just shy of £16 I would have been expecting a)everything to be perfectly cooked in the dish and rationed accordingly, and b) to at least have mussels and maybe even a few clams or a substitute seafood. A friend remarked that his salt & chilli squid was like something from Iceland and the accompanying sauce was horrible. Dessert time, and the menu came framed in an oversized box frame?! Don't get it. A lot of ordered desserts and/or drinks. Again, spoons fired in the middle of the table. They were nice. Drinks never arrived for a lot of us, I reordered mine and then a second one was about to come out (I told the waiter that I wasn't ordering a second, I just never got the first.) They tried to charge for both on the bill which says to me the staff aren't communicating effectively and aren't amending the bills correctly. Overall we were unimpressed and have definitely ruled out going back for any other staff night out we might have. Christmas isn't too far away!
