They definitely got you. It's nice to know you can run in there and grab just about anything you need for your vehicle. My girlfriend needed a new battery for her key fob on her Volkswagen. So I jumped in there to buy some seafoam, and get her battery changed. S will actually change the battery for you, and this O'Reilly's is no exception. The lady at the front grounder was fun, talkative, and made the experience much more pleasant. Much like going to Starbucks, any auto parts store across the Nation is the same. It's the people behind the counter that make it. This particular visit was really great, and made it a lot more fun than it probably should have been. Plus I love the fact that they have a loyalty program, that can save you some money on your parts. In this day and age, every penny counts so this was a nice welcomed addition. Bottom line? He tried with a magnet, but couldn't find it, and advised me to go to Autozone and get a screw. I went to this Autozone, and Patrick helped me. It was busy when I walked in, but he was efficient and gracious and kind when I mentioned it, saying it had just gotten busy. He then went to look at my car/battery, and somehow almost immediately found the screw, put it back in for me, and wished me a nice day and to come back if I needed anything else. I told him I would definitely be back if I needed anything. The thing that stood out to me is that he was capable, kind, personable, genuine, and respectful. When someone helps you efficiently and capably and also has those characteristics, it really does earn repeat business. It also is a great way to treat another human being. Once I realized I was 50min early I figured I'd Google the closest location that test car batteries, O'Riley's popped up. Took my car there 1st thing. Yes I was that annoying customer at the door waiting for them to open. Lisa was the customer service person that helped me. She quickly tested my battery and of course just like I thought it came back bad. She gave me the option on replacing it and did it in about 15min. We thought we'd picked up a dependable car, a 2013 Nissan Altima. We found out afterwards it needed quite a bit of work, including a catalytic converter. We called one shop in Las Vegas and were given a ridiculous quote for the converter. Passion Auto was our next choice and the quotes for the various services were spot on with what my research showed they should be. They also identified an issue the first shop missed, a shredded serpentine belt. Passion Auto was very understanding of our situation and did good work at a fair price. I highly recommend them.
