Shining Eagle Detailing

Shining Eagle Detailing

My initial interest was finding someone in the Hudson Valley who would be willing to come to…read moreColumbia County to do a deep clean of the interior of a friend's car as a gift. This search proved much more difficult than I thought it would be. Most of the places that I found online had phone numbers that were no longer in service or there had been no activity on their websites for a while. When I phoned Shining Eagle, the voicemail robotically repeated the number I just had dialed, so thinking that it was no longer a business, I dropped the call without leaving a message. Within minutes, I had a callback. At this point, I was just so happy to talk to a real person, that I decided to just go with it. The gentleman was very professional; he asked questions about the vehicle, the shape it was in, and what I wanted to have done. We agreed on a day/time and price. I sent a follow-up text confirming the info with the address. About 15 minutes before he was scheduled to arrive, he texted, apologizing to say he would be slightly late due to an unforeseen family situation and asked if his new ETA (30-45 minutes later) would still work. He then arrived at the new agreed-upon time. Once here, he didn't waste any time. I learned that he has been detailing cars for about a decade. Clearly, it is a real passion. He had everything he needed and was incredibly organized. We again reviewed the objectives at the car and then then for the next 3 1/2 hours, he worked non-stop. He is serious, focused and meticulous. When he was done, I barely recognized the finished product. It isn't just clean, it is restored. I highly recommend this company!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I initially brought my Porsche 911 Carrera S into Northeast auto…read moredesign on June 23, 2026, and was told that it would take four days to remove the previous wrap and install a new wrap. The actual process took five weeks. When I finally got at home, 45 minutes away from the business, I noticed rain was coming into my vehicle, and that the wrap was peeling in five different spots on the car. This was the same day. I expected professional workmanship and a quality result, unfortunately the finished product was nowhere near the standard I expected. Kenny, who I had been working with came down to my house in late July to fix the wrap on the side mirrors. Unfortunately, he did a patch job and it still looks pretty awful. There was also a mechanical issue with the driver side door not locking, and the window not fitting into the rubber slot, making it undrivable. He then left for a trip to Italy for two weeks, and which time I waited around for him to get back to get my car back into the shop to fix the mechanical issue. when I brought the car back to him, I was driving on 9W in Kingston and the left tail light literally fell out of the car dangling by the wires. Also on that drive I noticed that the passenger side window didn't roll all the way down and so I asked for it to be fixed as that was not an issue before he installed the wrap. He then said he would take care of everything, and I'd have it back within a week. It took another few weeks. All in all, the removal of my previous wrap and installation of a new wrap took three months, and as of today, October 12, 2026, my passenger side window still does not roll down all the way. I did express my frustration and disappointment to Kenny, and he offered a free wrap or detail or tinting on any of my other vehicles. I turned that down, because of the lack of professionalism with the first job, and asked for a partial refund back. I was promised it within two weeks. It has now been nearly a month. I have not gotten the refund and Kenny has ghosted me. The vinyl in some spots of the car is still peeling, the original color underneath is still showing through in some spots, and after paying $3400 in cash. I expected the work to be done correctly and with attention to detail and care for my Porsche. Instead, I have been left disappointed, frustrated, and questioning the quality of the work performed. Overall, this experience has been unacceptable. I expected a business that takes pride in its work and stand behind its services, but my experience has left me with serious concerns about the quality and professionalism of the job. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this business to do their research, ask plenty of questions, and carefully inspect their vehicle before leaving. Based on my experience, I would never recommend this business to anyone, and already have expressed that to anyone interested in tinting vinyl wraps and or any car detailing in general.
