The second floor is for reservations only and I recommend a reservation. It's not hard to book but do book as early as you can to get the normal time slots. I checked maybe 2.5 months ago and all the time slots for dinner were available, but a couple weeks later, only the early dinner time slots like 4pm is available. The service is nice but not frequent and the host is friendly. We were allowed to use the restroom before my reservation time. I love the menu, it carries so many Nordic traditional dishes, such as the whale steak, reindeer steak, Atlantic wolffish (catfish), deer stew, mussels, etc. We ordered the grilled reindeer steak and the pan fried wolffish. Both are beautifully plated, good portions and delicious with the right amount of seasoning. The Nordic cuisine likes to use local fruits to add sweetness to the sauce. I took out 1star because t hey are pricy. For entrees in the price range of 40-60 is fine, but when the desserts are priced at 20+, they lose the marginal satisfaction. Great location, great food. If your time in Bergen is short, this is one proper meal worth splurging on.

The ingredients were quality as well as the service. Our server Naomi (sp?) was attentive, friendly, knowledgable on the menu, and made fantastic suggestions all with a gorgeous personality and smile. Our bartender and wine server, Sofie, made great suggestions and even better martinis and old fashions. She and our server made the already fabulous meal an incredible experience. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. The noise level is just right. The views enchanting. Everything about our evening was enjoyable. Hoping to return to Bergen, we will definitely be back to dine here.

Also, when the water jugs ran out of water, the server would quickly replenish the jugs without asking while leaving our water jugs empty when we had finished our water!! Now, onto the food ... we both ordered open-faced sandwiches (Skagen and Fjords). Both sandwiches have bread that takes a strong muscle to cut through and the seafood was swimming in mayo!!! Overall, the experience was not that great plus it is not easy to climb up several steep steps of stairway to get to a restaurant! We can tell that this is a popular restaurant around the locals as it was filling up after 20 minutes, but will we come back here again? Not really!!

You can pick the available seafoods and they will cook it or the menu. The foods here are wonderful and fresh. If you're into seasoning and spices then you need to be out of the box since Nordic foods are about natural as is and less seasoning so keep that in mind. Love the oysters and the salmon, chowder is nice and mild but rich. Wonderful services and can't say much with delish foods, beautiful view, chill vibe and great service.

It was juicy and very unique. Never had it this juicy and sweet before. Large portion cost $240 USD which is about 0.9 lbs or 400g. 3. Mussels - Garlicky broth. Very good and small to medium sized meat. Overall average to USA. 4. Fish soup - Tiny bit salty but overall good amount of fish included. 5. Salmon (Aurora) sashimi - Buttery, smooth and very good. Unfortunately, we were given very little time to look over the menu and felt rushed to place our order. Since we were put on the spot, I asked the server for a recommendation and ordered a beef stir-fry. Before ordering, we specifically asked if the beef was breaded, and the server quickly replied that it was not. When my meal arrived, the beef was in fact breaded, which was disappointing. The food itself was very bland and lacked the bold flavors you typically expect from Thai cuisine. While the service was fast, it wasn't attentive. At the table next to us, another guest ordered Pad Thai and asked for soy sauce, but it took the server about 10 minutes to bring it. Overall, this was not a great dining experience. Between the rushed ordering, incorrect information about the dish, bland food, and inattentive service, I would recommend trying a different Thai restaurant if you're visiting the area.
