I found this restaurant on a Michelin guide for the area. I booked it assuming it to have a star (spoiler, it didn't). We had a nice enough table in a restaurant that did actually fill up, so folks do like it. I was not quite as impressed as I hoped to be. That isn't to say that service wasn't good, or the quality of the food not acceptable. They both were. But there was something just not quite clicking for me. Only two days later did I realize what it was. Here is a place with an amazing view of the Irish Sea, on a popular coastal shoreline. Folks come for that and the rest (good service, food) is icing on the cake. I suggest that the owners try to do a makeover on the customer experience if they do want to get a coveted star. We left satisfied but not dazzled, like I had hoped we would be. read more
