The initial location is hard to find if your not used to the area and car parking spaces are a little scarce but it is still worth it. Opened with the intention of having somewhere that is good for any occasion they have hit the nail on the head! I have been to Dylan's for a birthday meal and for a Sunday morning brunch along with many more reasons! I think they seem to specialise in pizza and seafood ! Because both are divine ! This is one of if not the only restaurant I can actually source Menai straights mussels and these are little bits of gold! My usual tends to be the beef burger (Dyl's) burger in a box with Per Las cheese ( a lovely blue ) and chunky chips ! You get this beautiful relish and amazing coleslaw! Another dish that I can say I love is the duck leg confit ! Again superb ! Price for two meals and two beers and two wines is about £40 but I'd happily pay that ! We shared an order of bruschetta, which was the best we've ever had ! My husband had the spaghetti arribiata which was wonderful, with a generous amount of meat, and I had roast chicken. Sounds boring, but it was delicious! Cooked perfectly, with high quality meat and perfect seasoning. The rosemary potatoes were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, which is just how they should be. Then, the piece de resistance--hot chocolate with pistachio liqueur. SO good. It was hard not to drink it too fast. The waitstaff was very pleasant and gave us just the right amount of service and attention. We've already made another reservation!

So good, in fact, I ate there twice on my trip to North Wales (about 6-7 days apart). I loved the the decor - throwback 70's Italian replete with red checkerboard table cloths! Service was attentive and friendly - especially the silver-haired gentleman. Food was delicious. I really loved the salad. What a beautiful mixture of veggies and greens - just delightful! I had to have Fettuccine Alfredo at Alfredo - another winner! Creamy rich goodness with yummy, generous bites of speck (ham)! Bottom line: I loved the place! Was it the best Italian food I've ever had? Yes (in Wales!) We were seated in a very cozy area that looked like it had once been a living room. There was a big stone fireplace with a wood stove in it, and a couple small tables with seating around them. There was also a bar in the area where we ate, which was handy since we both enjoyed drinks with our meal. For our entrees, I went with the cottage pie, and my wife selected the Creamy Chicken, Mushroom, and Tarragon pie. Both were absolutely fantastic. Every single bite was full of flavor and delicious. The staff there were friendly and engaged us in friendly conversation. The restroom was clean and well maintained. I'm thankful for the recommendation we received to eat here, and I would absolutely pass on the recommendation to anyone else who's in the area. After exploring the beautiful Castle Conwy, you should definitely check out the Erskine Arms for a hearty meal.

Before going I checked out the menu on their website and was a bit surprised by the prices, which are quite expensive for what at the end of the day is a pub in North Wales. I'd more or less decided in advance to go for the Welsh steak & ale pie which at £12.95 was just about a fiver more expensive than the steak & ale pie on offer at my more familiar haunt, the Afon Conwy which is just a few miles away. I was hoping for a very special pie! First things first the pub has a large car park so parking was no problem. The interior is very nicely done albeit in a fairly predictable gastropub decor. The dining area lives up to the venue's name with several tables along the side of the building offering views of Conwy Castle just over the water. The staff were friendly and efficient although there weren't many other customers to keep them occupied so they weren't anywhere close to being kept busy. Foodwise I went with the steak and ale pie which was fortunately very good and very well presented. My wife had a Caesar salad which was also excellent. The kids opted for chicken goujons and fish and chips from the kids menu, which at £7.25 each were two of the priciest kids meals we've encountered in this part of the world. Again though they were excellent, the goujon meal came with the two biggest goujons I've ever seen and the fish was a generous portion. The best compliment I give though is that both plates were cleared, something that doesn't always happen with my kids. As always there had to be someone who ordered something I ended up wishing I'd ordered and in this case it was father-in-law whose beer battered cod turned out to be a huge piece of fish which looked to be have been perfectly cooked. As this is one of the cheapest meals on the main menu I think if I ever go back that might be the one to try. All in all the food, and accompanying drinks, were all excellent and every plate was cleared. It's just a shame it's so expensive in comparison to other places in the area. It was noticeable that the place was very quiet when we visited, in fact it was almost deserted apart from the staff. It's a real shame given the quality on offer and I was left wondering if maybe they'd get more business if they knocked a quid or two off the prices? Certainly I'd more inclined to revisit if this were the case.

I really had the urge to try this French restaurant..technically we had to go this way anyway as it was located opposite the train station... For £22 You can select three courses from a designated menu or choose freely from the other...average starter costings were £6 varying from snails, soups, meats and seafood.. I love snails but had never tried a decent boulibasse..my mum looked over at another table and spied a woman dig into a large portion of crayfish. However she asked for the potted shrimp which turned out to be a completely different dish!! My soup was stunning, laced with herbs and spices elevating the generous chunks of fish...my mum's potted shrimp did look tiny in comparison and lots of fennel..tasty but I preferred mine. Torn between veal, duck and numerous other things for main I safely ordered the sea bass in butter and parsley sauce..when I say safe I mean..i was really full as I had not long eaten before coming here so fish seemed the lightest option..my mum followed suit and had the plaice cooked in the same manner. Both cost around £16.99 and it was refreshing to find accompiants included. A large potato gratin, sesame seeds carrots, broccoli and pickled cabbage landed along with a sizzling piece of fish. This was cooked perfectly..and I enjoyed every bite. We had pre ordered a glass of house wine to accompany our mains..this was served in two cute claret jugs..nice.touch. Despite our stomachs aching with so much food we could not resist the dessert menu..i had the cafe Garland which introduced a bit of fun on a plate. A fresh shot of berry jelly, espresso, macaroon and a mini creme brulee.. My mum had the ovaltine and whiskey icecream laced with meringue giving it a comforting texture.. With time running out to get our train we asked for the bill. My mum unknowingly had selected items from the £22.00 menu so everything turned out very reasonable.
