That said, her rates are super reasonable, especially considering the absolutely gorgeous photos she takes and that she includes digital rights. Correspondence was great leading up to the photo shoot. She suggested Cherry Creek Reservoir and it was a beautiful setting! We have a 4 year old, a 2 year old, and a newborn, and Lindi was amazing at getting everyone loosened up and comfortable with the photo shoot (and very patient with our tired two year old). We were all having fun! I loved that she didn't make us wait weeks until she was done editing all the images to see them, but shared a few as she went. Yay! I bought a basic class (2 hours, but it went a little over) though a daily deal site. The day I took the class it was just me and one other person. We met in lodo in front of a coffee shop, David went over the basics of photography and then we took a few practice shots. I had recently upgraded some equipment on my DSLR and decided I needed to get out of "auto" mode on my camera. This was a great class for that. The pros:David was friendly, happy to answer questions, and the class was useful. Also, he gives you his opinion on camera gear and the best way to get by on the cheap. Many other classes I looked at we offered through camera shops and I'm sure there would be a bigger push to buy equipment at those classes. The cons: The class is darn basic, if you have photography experience this probably isn't the class for you. Then again, it's only 2 hours so what were you expecting. Also, at the daily deal price I thought it was totally worth it. At the normal price ($135) it might be a little steep. Summary: Great intro if you recently purchased your first DSLR and reading the manual just isn't good enough...but maybe wait a little while and see if you can find an online deal.

He's super relaxed and calming and has a more "fly on the wall approach" to photography, which we loved. He's just there to capture the day and capture the love couples have for each other without making it seem forced. I paid $1,350 and received, without exaggeration, the worst photos I have ever seen. The quality was shockingly poor -- poorly composed, poorly edited, and nowhere near professional standards. The entire setup was on a flimsy white background in the middle of a park on a windy day. The backdrop kept blowing over repeatedly, yet instead of addressing the situation, the photographer continued on as if this was acceptable. The lighting was terrible, and every photo reflected that. Even more concerning, the photographer never once moved from sitting on her stool during the entire session -- no change of angles, no adjustments for lighting, no effort to add variety. Every image looked flat, repetitive, and completely unusable. For the price I paid, I expected care, creativity, and professionalism. Instead, I was left with wasted money and deep frustration. When I reached out for resolution, there was no accountability or effort to make things right.I will add what Meka sent to me as her "effort" to make things right. To make matters worse, she had the nerve to then send an invoice to me for $2,700. I was happy to give Meka the opportunity to re-shoot the photos, but she only wanted to add backgrounds to them through photoshop, which made them even worse. I was not able to use these photos for the intended purpose, which was to post them on my website. I've attached a couple of the photos so potential clients can see for themselves. This was a very costly mistake, and I strongly caution others to think twice before booking. This experience was so poor I feel compelled to warn others.
