After an initial quick response asking what service I needed, they failed to ever follow up with me with a quote, etc. Disappointing.

We used Bryan Electric to install two coach lights, Ring camera and dining room light. Excellent service and highly recommend.

Allen's Electric & Appliance - Shed or "certified" ryobi repair center?

    Allen's Electric & Appliance

    (9 reviews)

Not a good sign when you pull up to the "business" and it's an old beat up shed…read more I had an issue with ryobi products and BTW ryobi is as bad as these guys. Ryobi customer service apparently has different division for lawn batteries as well as lawn equipment. Funny both departments claim the other was the issue. one side said problem was the saw the other side said battery. No worry's they give ryobi "certified" repair shops near me. After calling 3 on their list (2 said they stopped repairing ryobi) i wonder why?! I get Allen's repair on my third try. I should have turned away when I drove up and seen the busted up old shed and the front door that doesn't close. I go in and theres old busted up yard tools laying all over the place. On a side note... have you ever known a guy who said he fixed his own toaster and put on a new blade on a neighbors lawn mower and says he thinks he could open his own repair shop? Well not far from the truth here. But you think to yourself, why would ryobi certify this mess unless they knew better?! So you think you can trust them. I bring in a chainsaw and batteries to be looked at bec both still under warranty as ryobi told me to do. The guy asks a few questions and I let him know I also had a ryobi lawn mower acting up but I took it to Home Depot a day earlier. He begins to make fun of me on how long Home Depot sits on their repairs and how silly I was taking my repair to them! Foreshadowing.... He then asks what I want with the batteries. I told him I was told by ryobi to bring them in where they will be tested by professionals and and recharged so that they will be good as new. So he says, " I'll have her look at it." And I thought to myself,"oh, ryobi must send in an expert and take them to some high tech lab where the batteries will be made new. Also, because two other shops closer no longer do ryobi, this is a 50 minute trek up a highway from me. Not around the corner. Almost 2 hours there and back. Well a month goes and I call to see what's going on. A lady tells me that even though it's under warranty, there's $80 worth of repairs need to be done on it for wear and tear items. I say go ahead and fix it. And I then ask about the batteries. She said she knew nothing about batteries, I tell her what ryobi told me and she's acting clueless how she's supposed to handle batteries but she will look at them. Two months and a week later, Home Depot is finished with my mower but I have no batteries. I call Allen's electric snd ask about my batteries. Lady asks me what I wanted to do with them again. I said I was told you guys would check them and charge them up. She has no idea what I'm talking about. I told her I'm coming to get my batteries. I ask about my chainsaw and she was confused what it was and then said oh yeah waiting on parts. I make the almost 2 hour trek there and back. When I pick up my batteries I notice my chainsaw which is still put together. I make a note in my mind that it's funny that he put the chainsaw back together after already "opening" it to see what needed repair. Another month goes by (3 months and a week from dropping it off) and I call about my chainsaw. The lady is confused again about what I had and what was going on and again says oh we are waiting on parts. I said forget it, I'll pick it up. She said no problem. Had she really ordered parts I know there would have been more push back about getting the saw but that told me they never ordered parts and I basically made 3 two hour trips to this awful place for nothing. And I lost 3 months not able to use my chainsaw which I needed to chop up downed trees from the hurricane. I ended up having to buy a second chainsaw so I'm not just out travel time but money now bec of these clowns. It gets worse. I take the chainsaw to Home Depot to get repair. The guy at Home Depot decides to open it to look in it. As he opens the chain adjust compartment, dirt falls out all over the place. The guy at Home Depot told me this chainsaw has never been opened since I last used it and the guy at Allen's lied about looking at it and what parts I needed. So warning this guy will lie about what's broke to make money off the ignorant by claiming things need replacing that he never looks at. Ryobi should be sued big time as well as this junk yard toaster fixer wannabe.

Purchased a new in the box Briggs & Stratton pressure washer from a Sears store. It was a close out…read moreunit they had left. It had a full manufactures warranty. Briggs & Stratton said to take it to a local dealer for warranty repair. I took it to Allen's. They were by far the closest shop. The owner did not want to do the warranty repair. She told me to exchange it with Sears. She claimed it was not warranted by Briggs. She said she would do the work but then ended up charging for the repair. I would stay away from this shop. Dirty and about the worst customer care and service I have ever seen. I have contacted Briggs and hopefully they will resolve my issue and correct this dealership.
