Again, confirming we had the appointment and only needed to contact if we had to change it

Cancelled our appointment the afternoon before it's due to take place without communicating with us, then tried to blame us for not confirming (double confirming?) - despite the fact that they, in writing, said we had a confirmed appointment and to contact them only if we needed to change it. Screenshots below prove this. They tried to claim that we were supposed to confirm, which is not correct, and then claimed they'd tried to contact us multiple times which is also incorrect. Neither my husband or I received any emails or calls from them since the confirmation. They then said we could come in and just hang around with our dog - who they know has anxiety - until they might get some time to squeeze her in. I will not be paying for the "privilege" of being treated like crap and making my dog scared. I emailed them stating that we would need confirmation that the double-booking animal would be moved and the slot was still ours by 5pm. Bryan Animal Clinic didn't respond, so we will be ensuring all of our friends who recommended them know about our experience and encourage them to also find an alternative who doesn't struggle with such basic tasks. We then got an email from the office manager, Julianna, who gave an explanation that did not make sense given the reality of the situation. Julianna claimed that I needed to confirm the appointment, despite having received a confirmation and the fact they did not reach out to get a confirmation. We did not receive any texts or calls, and provided them evidence of this. They acknowledged they had not put email-contact on our file as requested, stating that "Moving forward, you will only receive email notifications, reminders, and confirmations in accordance with our hospital policy." However, this was not followed by Dr Walker, who then left a voicemail on my husband's phone - almost immediately breaking this commitment. Julianna also said our appointment had not been cancelled and that Bea had a "designated spot", despite us being told over the phone that it had been. Due to the mismatch between her version and the documented truth, we asked them to clarify whether the people who took our slot had been rescheduled - because we wouldn't go just to fight over a slot or have more people and dogs present than is necessary. We didn't receive a reply. Dr Walker then left a message for my husband, opting not to communicate via email as requested or, indeed, with me (the person who was communicating and making the appointment consistently throughout the process). She also failed to take any accountability, and instead said she'd phone again or speak with us during the appointment. Nonsense. I'm not having a vet appointment with an anxious dog made more difficult by having someone come in and initiate a tense discussion. This proved to us that Dr Walker does not have the best interests of our dog in mind, and as a result should not be entrusted with her care. Being a good vet involves attention to detail. Dr Walker either lacks that, by not following the email instructions and ensuring she was calling the person involved in the conversation, or she doesn't respect client choices. Either way, I find these to be disturbing qualities in a vet. We did not attend the "appointment" which may or may not have existed, because there was no response to our email. There is obviously no hope with this clinic of having a trusting relationship for our dog's care moving forward, so we will now need to delay her examination further, which is really worrying given her eye issue. Jordann, the 'Chief of Staff' then had the gall to contact me and say we were expected at 11:10am and hadn't turned up. Utterly laughable, I one day aspire to have the self esteem these people have. On top of that, Jordann also called my husband and left a message despite the email-only instructed that had been confirmed by Julianna. Jordann then tried to state that we had been told we had an appointment, ignoring the subsequent exchange where we asked to clarify whether the other patient would be competing for the same slot. I have now spoken with everyone who recommended the clinic to me to let them know what happened, and it jogged their memory and several of them also had experienced some issues with Crystal and Julianna - so it seems this is not a one off mistake at all. Others have reported the same issues with their appointments being cancelled without notice. Dr Walker's ill thought out and dismissive approach demonstrates that these failures are also present within the veterinary staff. Having seen their argumentative responses to other bad reviews, it's clear that this clinic lacks a culture of accountability. No person who loves their pet can feel safe placing them in the care of such an unprofessional environment.

Came here for the first time. We just made this huge move from Hawaii to BCS Texas and we didn't know which vet to choose so we found this place on YELP. Anyways, the staff here are very friendly and fast. We had an appointment and got seen within 5 minutes in a room. My dog, Penny was very chill and friendly with the staff here. This place also has a dentist as well. Pennys vet, Dr. Walker is very friendly and informational. Both assistant, Jordan and Dr. Walker sat on the floor with Penny when checking her status. They even took a picture of Penny with a sign with her name on it. Private parking lot and they have a FB page with great updates.

Our dear Willie! Rest in peace, sweet little man! See ya when we get there : )

My "new" go to vets! The short version is they've always been very sweet to us, from the first time we met under a sad situation until now with my new dog. I highly recommend BAC! The long version: We first came to Bryan Animal Clinic as an urgent case. The pandemic was just beginning that Feb of '20. Willie, our 15 year old toy poodle, was dying of kidney failure. He'd been my daughter's best buddy since she was seven, and had even gone off to college with her in San Marcos. But now, in his worsening state, she feared he might die alone in her apartment while she was at school, and she was distraught over that possibility. She called around to a few vets in San Marcos, but they all chastised her for wanting to hasten Willie's demise and made her feel terrible for even thinking it! She called me in tears, not knowing what to do. So I googled local vets and called the first one I saw near me, Bryan Animal Clinic. Y'all! They were SO SWEET and validated my daughter's concerns and desire to be with Willie when he died. They made the drive over and we took him in first thing the next morning. We were greeted and taken to a quiet room right away so we didn't have to be around the other pets. A vet and vet tech came in to talk with us and lovingly explained the procedure, that we were in charge of each step, and could take all the time we needed. They made sure my daughter understand that she was making a very caring and humane decision. There was no hope for Willie to get any better, and things would get slowly worse. They gave Willie a shot to relax him - he got very sleepy. An IV was inserted in his leg, as the prep for the final lethal medicine. They left the room so we could privately cuddle him, again saying we could take all the time we wanted. They really meant it. It's like they were ministering to us as well as Willie! We told him what a sweet dog he'd always been and how much we loved him. They were so empathetic. We didn't take much longer, and signaled it was time. The med was injected into the IV and Willie was gone instantly - very peacefully. My daughter was holding him, and even though he was already limp in her arms sleeping, she felt his life force leave with a final, slow exhale. Again they urged us to take all the time we needed - we could have the room all day if we wanted! They were so sweet! But after a few minutes, we handed Willie over, and they took care of him for us as we had no place to bury him. I think they sent some kind of commemoration afterwards. This is the best I can remember the event - I hope I've been accurate. Because a couple of weeks later we were in lockdown, and everything seems like a blur. One thing I know for certain is BAC was extraordinarily kind and gracious to us. They didn't guilt trip us for wanting to "put our dog down" (a term I hate)! Six months later, my daughter moved back home due to the lockdown (she'd graduated), and she convinced me to get a new dog! I found a rescue online that was really the opposite of what I was looking for: a no-shed, small dog. But upon meeting her, it was instant love! I named her Tilly (so that if I accidentally called her "Willie", maybe she wouldn't notice). She's twice the size dog I wanted and sheds like crazy! But she's been another most awesome dog - and contrary to Willie, is very happy to stay right by my side and never tries to run away. Soon after adopting this "cheap" rescue dog, she needed emergency surgery for bladder stones - and reconstruction of her female part because she had been born with a malformation which was causing the urine to back up. This was Tilly's first time to the vet with me, as she'd come with a current checkup and vaccines from Banfield Vet Clinic. Tilly's been in great shape ever since and brings joy to my life every day. We just go back to BAC for regular checkups. They take very good care of her, (spoil her even) and never rush through discussing her care. Over the past 3 years, as a group, BAC is kind to the core from receptionist to tech to the vets. Whether an emergency or a regular checkup, my dogs have been well cared for at BAC.

Dr. Ikels and her staff are nothing short of incredible! Dr. Ikels recently diagnosed my cat, Calvin, with asthma and she has worked tirelessly to figure out a treatment plan that works for him. She even spent close to 40 minutes explaining our plan moving forward and answering all of my questions. I absolutely love Bryan Animal Clinic!

Every time we visit, they write his name on the board! So cute!

The best animal care you will find! They are so kind and make you and your furry friend feel welcomed! I love how they have packages for your kitten or puppy, as the beginning costs can be a little overwhelming. They discuss price points before doing any procedure to make sure you are comfortable, and I have spoken to plenty of pet owners in the waiting room who love BAC!

He is able to diagnose and treat a surprisingly large number of horses in a single day. The facility itself is first class. From the moment you enter the automatic gates to paying your bill it's quite an enjoyable experience. There is a large, covered receiving area where you unload your horse and wait for the doctor. There are attendants galore to assist you. Everything is clean and well finished. Looks like something out of a high end racehorse stable in Kentucky. Dr. Honnas is clearly very skilled. He quickly and properly diagnosed our lame horse, offered treatment options, explained clearly what the problem was and took the time to show/explain to us the xrays and test results. The horse was boarded there for a day and had surgery on both feet the following day. We were able to unhitch and leave our trailer on site at no charge. I highly recommend this facility and this doctor.
