Key lime had one huge chunk of pie crust stuck in the center and the Oreo had micro Oreo dust. Not as creamy. Sad to see this happen. This place has way too many choices for me, way too many, I just couldn't decide on anything other than the homemade waffle cone...just didn't know what was going inside. Lots of great flavors to choose from, a few of the normal flavors but many unique flavors to try as well. Great walk up location with a few benches around if you want to sit and enjoy. read more

Bruster's Ice Cream sells hard serve ice cream in numerious flavors (at this site...as well as Nathan's hotdogs). Atmosphere - Stand alone building with tables in the back and coin operated kid rides on the side. Service - The lady I had seemed a little grumpy and not the best personality for what should be a fun place. It was late, so maybe she was having a bad day. Food - The various flavors makes picking fun. Bruster's also offers various types of cones (e.g. basic, sugar), but to get the waffle cone you need to purchase at a minium three scoops. Downside to the cone situation is that all but the waffle cone is too small. It is like placing the scoop upon a toothpick! I had the double chocolate which was delicious but melted all over my hand...again, the cone is so small. I recommend either getting the three scoops and the waffle cone or getting your ice cream in a cup like my friend's 5 yr old son so wisely requested. Price - Pricing is decent as 4 scoops, two in cups and two on cones, cost around $11. Overall - A nice place to sit out and enjoy some summer fun, just do not wear your favorite shirt! read more

I was first introduced to Brusters while living in Myrtle Beach. I loved it down here, and was quite pleased to find that there is one five minutes from our apartment here. We went last night to celebrate my wife getting a new job. This review focuses on just the ice cream. There is a Nathan's Hot Dog place within Brusters, but I only come for the cold treats, not the hot eats. Brusters ice cream is a hard ice cream, yet it is softer than most. This makes for easy eating out of the cone. Their flavors change daily, so some flavors are rotated in and out. When we went last night I got the apple pie ice cream. It was a light apple flavored ice cream with pie crumbs and chunks of apple in it. It was extremely delicious and I loved it. My wife got the Oreo cheesecake flavor, and I have to say I was a little jealous. I usually don't like cheesecake ice cream because I find it too rich, but Brusters does it good. Not only was the cheesecake flavor spot on, but the Oreo chunks they use are actually fresh Oreo...not the pre-crumbled Oreo cookie topping most ice cream places buy in bulk and serve. We also went for the waffle cones. Their cones are gigantic and you get quite a bit of ice cream with it. You can taste the freshness in them and they stay crisp and don't get soggy like some other cones would. Best part is that it's affordable...$4.18 per waffle cone is a pretty sweet deal. If you have a sweet tooth and are craving some fresh ice cream, Brusters is the place to go. It's never too cold for ice cream, so don't feel crazy going there in November or December. This place is amazing!! The ice cream is delicious and I'd your child is under a certain height they give them a free kids cone! I mean what's not to love with that! They have great seating and a casual small town feel of ice cream evenings with the family. They have a wide range of ice cream flavors along with food connected to them from Nathan's. My niece and nephew know that once it gets warm outside, its time for ice cream again! Brusters is great because the seating is outside, which gets the kids away from television long enough for ice cream. I had a waffle cone with mint chocolate chip which was a very good portion. Since both of the kids are still small, they offer a little free scoop for kids below a certain height. The good thing is they also do shakes, malts, sundaes, banana splits, and serve Nathans Hot Dogs in case you want something a little more solid... Tastes like a good ol' American summer!! read more

This Bruster's is in a nice, convenient location. There are plenty of benches for seating outside. This location also offers Nathan's for food options. For the young kids, they even have a rideable fire truck (quarter machine) and also a carousel. I appreciate that they have a drive thru available for those on the go. The customer service I received tonight was great! Prompt service, accurate orders, and well scooped ice cream. I love the variety they have with ice cream including the different flavors, milk shakes, sundaes, etc. I especially love the very clever BYOB (bring your own banana) Thursday where you get 1/2 off the Sundae for bringing your own banana! Brewsters is a great place to visit. They make their ice cream fresh on premise and it really shows. I am a big fan of the waffle cone with Mint chocolate chip. Call me a purist but that is just what I do. I would highly recommend Brewsters. read more

We brought our 3 kids to use a B1G1 coupon from a grocery store receipt, and they were having a promotion day for wearing pajamas, and you'd get a waffle cone for $1 (which we didn't know about). They said they wouldn't honor other promotions because of that. They would have gotten more money had they honored our coupon, but we just left. We stopped here after eating at Galway Hooker across the street. The staff was really nice and helpful making suggestions. I opted for the Blue Pop Italian Ice. It was much more flavorful than I would have thought, almost sour. It hit the spot. My friend got the banana split...and I would recommend splitting it with someone else as they give a generous portion. If I go back I would definitely try the warm apple dumplings with Cinnamon ice cream. It looked delicious. Don't forget on Thursdays, you get 1/2 off banana splits if you bring your own banana. I was in town from LA visiting my friend and we decided to get some ice cream. She told me this is the place she usually goes to. I had a small waffle cone of the chocolate cake batter ice cream... It was one of the best flavors of ice cream I've ever tasted. The ice cream was so smooth and fresh! I was so glad we stopped by this place. Horrible customer service. They added a Drive thru that I sat at for 10 mins at the speaker. When the lady finally got to me I asked how much their chili cheese dogs were and than I waited another 5 minutes for her to tell me that they don't serve Nathan's through the Drive thru. (Umm I thought it was called Nathan's/Bruster's). While I was driving away the women looked at me like I was stupid for asking how much their chilli dogs were and had a crowd of people looking at me like I was suppose to automatically know that they didn't serve food through the Drive thru. Great Ice Cream and so many flavors, they rotate, so every time I have to decide what to try next. Never had a bad flavor and my favorites are S'Mores, Cappucino, Graham Canyon, anything mint, anything chocolate, ahhh the Key Lime, dang to many I like. Always makes going a difficult decision, lol. And then I have to decide which cone! I know some have complained it is slow, and yeah it is at times. In the winter they have only one working sometimes. In the summer they are swamped with people and its not like they have things made ahead of time. Kids take a long time to decide and sometimes things back up. If you can't wait a few minutes for good stuff, dang thats sad!!! I always find the workers friendly and if I say something nice to them they always smile and reply. Only downside is I live a few blocks from them and so I go there WAY to much as do my family members. First world problem lol. I LOVE the place. read more

I cannot believe how incredibly bad this ice cream is! I ordered the chocolate chip cookie dough and didn't think you could possibly screw that up but it had no chocolate chips, just black specs. The dough tasted like saw-dust. It was basically soft-serve, melted so fast because they don't use real cream. It tasted completely artificial. Only one time I had bad service where the girl refused to give me and another customer hot dogs because she said they were closing soon.
