This is really a unexpected treasure for a small town like Chambersburg. It is a place with crepes and coffee, cappuccino, macchiato etc. of real original European quality. This cafe could be very successful in downtown DC or Manhattan, no doubt about it. I ordered decaf coffee and it seemed pretty watery to me. Also only milk to add. No half and half or other alternatives. The waffle was ok. I can make better at home. I liked the atmosphere, but coffee and food need to improve or they won't survive. read more

A unique breakfast experience! I was there with my family for Sunday brunch. We wanted to try something different and this place hit the mark. The staff is very friendly and helpful if it's your first time ordering and you're unfamiliar with the offerings. My wife and I got "The Breakfast One," a hearty crepe stuffed with ham, bacon, mozzarella, and topped with an egg. The kids got "The Belgian" which is a crepe topped with chocolate, whipped cream, and seasonal fruit. The place was busy, so service was a little slow, but we enjoyed every bite! Not to sound too American, but I really could've used some maple syrup to pour over mine. That would've been epic! We'll definitely be returning in the future! read more

My husband and I have been in several times. The wait is a bit long, but totally worth it! The prices are very reasonable...especially for quality food! I'm so glad they are downtown. We also got about 1/2 dozen macaroons and they are SOOO good. It's hard to find ones done properly that aren't all dried out or soggy. read more

When we entered the cafe only one other couple sharing a crepe. The digital menu is hard to read as it is switching between screens all the time. We ordered two crepes and some water to drink. We never got out water. The first crepe was brought to us in about 25 minutes (no one else in the shop). After another 10 minutes I went up and asked about the 2nd crepe I ordered and never received. They apologized and began making it. The food was severed on styrofoam trays and was average. A lot of other places in Chambersburg have better food and experience. read more

We had high hopes when we went based on what we had seen online but our experience was beyond poor. We were welcomed in a friendly way, places our order and took a seat to wait and get our food. It took over 30 minutes for 2 waffles. They had to remake the waffles 2 times and when we finely got the waffle it was still not right. Food was average and the wait was not worth it. Our coffee was also weak. After talking to friends, this seems to be a common experience. So many better options downtown. read more

This place is great! I love the outdoor eating area and the overall appeal. I love that the owner is truly passionate about what he makes. If you are coming in expecting to get your food fast this probably isn't the place for you, but if you have time and patience this place is definitely worth it. I highly recommend the peach/mango smoothie it's out of this world. I would say that the menu sign is hard to read, but that won't keep me away from this great place! read more

This place is fantastic. The owner and staff are very friendly and are happy to answer any questions. Our waffles and crepes were brilliant. The only minor complaint I have is it takes a while to be served because of their limited cooking capacity. This would never stop me from coming here, it's just something to be aware of if you're hoping for a quick in and out. read more

Four of us stopped in to Brussel's Cafe for the first time. We ordered a sampling of sweet and savory crepes along with coffee drinks. The crepes were artfully presented and everything tasted fantastic. The coffee and espresso are the best we have found in the Chambersburg area. This cafe is absolutely lovely all around. The food is delicious and fresh. The menu is authentic and fun. The location is perfect--right on Main St. in a very nice building--clean and decorated so well. The owner and his family are from Brussels. He's always very kind. He puts on a kid's movie for our daughter every time we go and always remembers us. He will chat with you and tell you all about where he is from and also listen to you share about yourself. You can absolutely tell he is a truly kind and genuine person. The entire experience and atmosphere is always great. We will continue to go and would highly recommend it to others! read more

Today I went into the cafe around 9 and ordered around 9:10. My friend got her food about 10 mins after we ordered as well as her coffee. She sat there and ate her food, and at 9:45 I still didn't get my food... keep in mind my friend and I ordered right after one another. At 9:50 I was just about to go up and say I didn't get my food and leave when they finally called my name. May i add I only ordered a waffle and water. I'm usually not one to complain since I've been on the other side of customer service positions, but I asked what took so long since it took almost 45 minutes, First i was asked what all I ordered and i said only ONE waffle and a WATER. Then I was told it took 30 minutes which is still unacceptable. THEN i got an apology. I got no refund back, nothing. He didn't even check on me after I got my food which I ended up throwing out after eating just the strawberries due to the waffle being hard and almost burnt. People who ordered after me got their food before I did. his isn't the first time I haven't been happy with this place. The last time they got our order wrong, but at least the service was faster. I wouldn't recommend this place. Unfortunately this was my friends first time to this place, and the restaurant lost more than just two customers because I will be telling everyone about my service there. read more
