Not bad for 2 non artistic women
Cher M.

My friends and I spent Valentines Day at Brushstrokes & Beverages, our painting was Koi Love with instructor Ivan Zuno. He was an amazing instructor, he was energetic and fun. Made his round throughout the studio during the class making sure we were having fun and offering help to those that wanted assistance. The music choice was awesome too. It was our friends, Stacy & Debs first time, they really enjoyed themselves. We all want to come back just for Ivan, that's how much fun we had. I am so NOT artistic and never thought I'd enjoy this but this was the 2nd class me and my wife attended. Artistic or not, Ivan made us feel like real artists. Thank you Ivan for a great Valentines Day

Went in September for my bday with my sister and best friend. We had a blast drinking and painting. Totally worth the experience.

We went in September for my bday. And we really enjoyed ourselves. You won't be disappointed, the artist walks around and answers all questions. I believe this one you just had to spend $20 per person at the restaurant but that's a separate charge for the event itself. Still affordable and worth every penny.

Fun session!

I don't know why I've never tried a Paint n Sip session! My girlfriends and I had so much fun last night! I purchased my ticket for $40 directly from Brushstrokes + Beverages website. A few friends got tickets on Groupon for $30. This included a 20 x 16 canvas, paint, and a 2-hour lesson. BYOB and food. They have a mini fridge and can supply ice. We got there around 7pm and had sometime to pour some drinks and have some snacks. Devin, our instructor, was so friendly, fun and accommodating. He started his lesson around 7:30 and taught us how to paint a sunset with a wave. We took a 10-minute break in between to let the paint dry and then, continued until about 9/9:30. Devin played great music while we painted and took requests too. We were all pretty happy with how our paintings turned out. The booze really helped our creative juices flow! The studio doesn't have a parking lot, but metered street parking is free after 6pm and on Sundays. There's also a parking lot a block away on Elm and 1st for $4.

Woooowww! OKAAAYY! You go, Glen Coco! Came in on a Thursday at Trademark Brewery, which is a cool vibe and spacious venue. They offer slurpie like slushie drinks, the fruit punch was our pick, it was fab. They had Bun Apetit Burgers on site, and I ordered a burger that was delicious, and they went out of their way to make some pretty good fries for my friend who is vegan. Bathrooms were clean, but the neighborhood is a bit sketch, and I do not recommend parking on the east side of the building. Jasmine, our instructor, was phenomenal! She was fun, thorough, and eager to help. In total, the class seemed full, I think I saw 1 empty space (I would suggest seeing if Trademark would allow for the tables to be spaced a little more), but honestly Jasmine made everyone forget how crowded we were and we fell into a comfort zone and everyone comfortably painted their masterpieces and we all had a really great time! This is definitely something I will do again, and I would highly recommend booking when you see Jasmine listed as an instructor. Thank you, Jasmine and Brushstrokes & Beverages! This was my first Sip and Paint experience, and it was perfect.

I came here last night and I have to say, I'll be back very soon! Bryce led our class and he was extremely patient and thorough when instructing us. The ambiance was peaceful and soft music played in the background. Highly recommend!

Unreliable, unresponsive, not a place I will give my business to. I was canceled on today around 4:30 PM I replied by five to a message that stated "we can just move you to another event day". I tried to call and get a few questions answered and I received a message saying that that number is only good for text messages. So I again texted a question about switching days, I have now been waiting "a couple hours" with no response so I'll just take a refund and write a review. My husband took the night off and missed out on a work opportunity to go painting with me tonight which has now been a complete waste. Thank you for NOT caring about us brushstrokes + beverages -Today business owner Michael Mosselli decided to harass me via text... lol this place is a JOKE Reviews are opinions about your personal experience with a business and this is mine.

Fun event with Kate through Groupon! We made a lot of new friends during this class and really enjoyed the process of painting this piece. A couple reminders: -bring your own alcohol AND your own glasses -bring snacks if you want too! -come a little early to look for parking, especially if your event is on the weekend (parking is free after 6pm) don't fall for the paid parking lots!!! They're pricey -place your alcohol on your non-dominant side and/or not in front of your painting (I spilled mine lol) -wear clothes you wouldn't mind getting paint on -for anyone with long hair, bringing a scrunchie is an excellent idea -get creative with your painting! I didn't like the cranes in the original painting so I replaced them with more palm trees and an abandoned sailboat :) Thank you Kate for the fun event!

I love this place! Their studio is so arty and cozy. Our instructor IVAN ZUNO, is such a fun guy, he made our experience worth every penny. I highly recommend this place for a date, go with your family, or really just by yourself lol. I promise you it won't disappoint. We've gone a few times as a date and with friends and family and every time is super fun. If you have any questions you can text them and they reply to you with any questions you may have. Everyone is super helpful .

Edit and update. The Owner of brushstrokes and beverages reached out. Gave us clarity on what happened and offered sincere condolences. We experienced teacher Tam and again at trademark Brewing. Tam and brushstrokes and beverages I 10/10 recommend and will be celebrating my next gathering with them in their studio to give that a try too ! The issue is trademark. I experienced a paint session there and the employees are unfriendly if they don't know you. They were chatting it up with friends but made me feel like a burden as a customer. I also made them aware of their false advertisement and the employees were nonchalant and uncaring about the situation. I highly wish brushstrokes and beverages would do their paint night at another brewery. Maybe beer lab ? As they have kinder staff, better beer, great parking and an eye catching atmosphere.

This was my first time painting with a group of friends, and it was such a fantastic experience! Shoutout to Devin, our instructor, who made this night so great. He was super friendly and made the night so lively with his different stories and engaging the painters there (although if you're more introverted and shy, he was also totally good about letting you focus and paint). He was constantly encouraging the painters on their progress, and you could tell he really knew his stuff by the different painting techniques he taught us. This was my second time painting on a canvas ever, so his advice was really appreciated. I'm definitely one of the more artsy people in my group, but even my friend who doesn't have a lot of art experience shared that this was a great time and she's going to go again. I'd have to agree! Also, thank you Devin for being so generous with your time. He let our class stay a little later than the booked hours to finish our paintings. Not that we would ever expect or demand that, but you could tell he genuinely wanted the group to have a good time and feel satisfied with their paintings, even if that meant he had to stay longer for the inevitable cleanup and closing. That was so kind. Thank you and when we return, I hope we take a class from you again!

Girls night!

So much fun! Definitely a good time and the instructor was very cool. Time does fly by while you're there. Definitely have to pay attention to keep up. I can't wait to go again.

An AMAZING experience! Randomly found this place and decided to take my friend for her bday. I was really nervous about the experience not being fun enough to be a birthday present but I was very wrong. We had a blast! A few things: Parking - there is no place to park at this studio so you're on your own. Street parking is free after 6pm but as you can imagine, it gets BUSY. I drove around the area for 20 mins and never found street parking. I ended up parking at the Vons structure (2 hours free with purchase). Dress code tip - Although there is no posted dress code, know the paint used is oil based...aka it will not wash out. I would warn about wearing your favorite jeans or blouse. They do provide an apron while you're there but I strongly recommend not wearing something you'd hate to get paint on. Instructor - Every night has a different instructor. When we went, we had Kate and she was fantastic! She was dancing around, singing, teaching, laughing...an absolute love. BYOB - This is a BYOB so it's really up to you what you want to consume. People had wine, beer, or coffee. There is a liquor store walking distance, as well as Vons. I took snacks as well but it's seriously up to your discretion. Cheers! I had so much fun that I already scheduled another night of painting. A great way to spend the afternoon with friends or your partners. (Yes, there were dudes there)

How many people does one class fit?

Depends if you're going with group of people. There's 4 tables and 4 people can fit in one

How long does a class usually take?

Approximately 2 hours, it also depends on the pace of the class, so I would plan for 2.5 hours to be safe.

What age do you allow in paint night?

So for our 5th anniversary we decided to come back to Long Beach but this time my fiancée had several groupon deals to choose from. So out of the 5 options I chose the Queen Mary tour and the painting class with wine. That's how we stumbled across Creative Canvas LA. Laniqua (the owner) was awesome from the moment we called her to see if she would accept our groupon the next day. She saved a spot for us and asked to send her an email once we purchased the groupon so she could make it official. Very cool! Trying to find the place wasn't too hard but we did have to ask a restaurant near by where we could find the painting class. Fortunately for us, they knew exactly what we were talking about and point us along the way. Upon arriving, we had the opportunity to meet Laniqua in person and she remembered it was our anniversary while pointing us to our seats and blank canvases. She had an assistant who was awesome and very helpful while Laniqua walked us through the steps. The only negative was that the groupon said the class comes with a free glass of wine but there wasn't any available and if we did want drinks we had to purchase them from the bar next door. Other than that, the class was fun and very interesting the way you learn how to paint w picture. I would highly recommend taking her class and just make sure to call to see what location she'll be at because she has several. OOOOO 5 out of 5 Afros

She had funny jokes and I really appreciated her coming around to help us individually when we were stuck or to save our paintings from our own destruction. I am not an artist naturally. Whenever I have to draw something I usually warn people that it won't be pretty. At the end of the session, and with the help of a glass of wine, I couldn't believe how well my painting turned out. Even for someone who really isn't drawn to painting, it was much easier than I thought when Myia broke it down step by step. I love it so much, and have it proudly displayed in my room right now. Thanks Myia for a very memorable night :)

My husband and I ended up going to Knolls right next door and it was so nice to be able to have a drink knowing our daughter was having a blast across the wall. They also lock the door to make sure only the guardians of the child are able to enter to pick them up, and they are mindful of food allergies as well (my daughter is allergic to peanuts). It was my husband's birthday and as we were pressed on availability, I wanted to do something different, yet affordable and local and to my surprise, she checked all of the boxes. I was referred by an associate and it was absolutely perfect, my husband was blown away! What I loved most of all, is that she is so excellent at what she does, that all you need to do is answer a few questions about your likes and dislikes ie. Personality traits and from that alone, she can come up with the most unique ideas that will suit you to a "T". If you're anything like me, it's like you know what you want, but can't quite yourself put it into words, well she take your likes and what's important to you and capture it in such a one of a kind way, like putting words to music, for my husband and myself, it was like an adult play date, a fantasy of sorts. She managed to capture all of the playfulness and freedom that we once experienced as youths, we dropped all of our strict, semi uptight ways that comes so gradually over the years from being responsible adults and we were once again, two carefree youngsters without a care in the world, just enjoying each other's company, in an ambiance so fitting for the occasion. Her attention to detail to capture the most important moments as described to her was so meticulously orchestrated, that I knew right then, if I didn't know before, that this is not only her passion but her life's work. It's RARE these days to find someone so passionate about what they do, that it comes off in there work, in every single detail. My mind was completely at ease. Although it was only a getaway for just a few short hours, we had an epic time, living our very own fairytale, love story @Toni's Crafts and I hope that whoever read this, looking for an adventure of your own and you find yourself short on time, ideas and dare I say funds, Toni's Crafts is definitely the solution to your problems, she will plan an escape modeled just for you and or your party, on a budget that you can afford and yet still give it the same, if not more dedication, as a big, overpriced, party planning company would. She will do her best to work with you just to bring whatever YOUR vision is to life, whatever it is, that YOU want. Unlike those big party places that have preset boring, one size fits all, over priced packages @Toni's Crafts you have the opportunity to be creative just by allowing her to create a celebration dinner, party or whatever you desire, all based off of your imagination. I can not wait to plan my next function with her just to see what she can come up with. Maybe something with the girls, we will see
