The salon itself is clean, modern, and airy--comfortable in a way that puts you at ease without trying too hard. But it was Lauren's presence that made the real difference. From the start, she was warm and easy to talk to, and she genuinely welcomed my questions about her life, her business, and her travels. Our conversation was effortless, and being able to shift my focus onto someone so kind and grounded was exactly the kind of happy distraction I didn't know I needed. There were a few people who came in while I was there, hoping for walk-ins, and Lauren treated every one of them with kindness--even while making it clear, without words, that she was fully present with me. She held eye contact, stayed grounded, and somehow made me feel seen the whole time. To be honest, I had a pretty bad haircut experiences a few months prior, and I came in that morning carrying a lot of anxiety. I've been growing it out for two years and rarely color it. I should have known better than to let anyone I don't know touch it. Just my luck. I go in and got someone that had no idea what they were doing. I asked her if she knew how to balayage and she said yes. She bleached a whole chunk of my hair. I've never seen anything like the technique she used.. She colored all my hair and not just little pieces. She put a color on the top that actually lightened my natural color ( not what I wanted at all) I showed her a picture. Several times! She told me she knew how to do it. She said she's been doing hair for 15 years. Her name is Tiffany. She worked so fast and didn't take her time at all. When she took the towel off my head to blow it dry I was totally freaked out. All of my hair was blonde. It was a freakishly orange brass color on top and blonde from the middle of my head to my ends and my hair was about 16 inches long. She also messed p my trim and it's not even. She was working way to fast and didn't check her work. She blamed it on the new color they are using. I'm not the person that really confronts people I am way too nice so I let her finish and paid and left and went home and cried to my husband and cousin. They told me to call and go back up and have them fix it. Bad idea. I should have just got my money back. She used the same technique to "fix" it. More bleach and now a black color all over and a chunk of hair around my head bleached on the ends. I looked like a skunk. Then to try and fix the bright white bleached hair she put a toner on it and now my hair is green. I've been crying all night and this morning and will be going in today to get my money back. I am beyondy disgusted with how aweful my hair looks. It's put it up and wear a hat in public bad. I will be posting pics . There were two other ladies there that knew she was ruining my hair and didn't step in and stop her. I should have. I wish I had the courage to tell the girl to stop. Now my hair is beyond damaged and I can't even color it to fix it. I have to wear it like this until I can travel 800 miles away and have my cousin fix it after its rested. I hate my life .
