ITS MY HAIR? Aren't you supposed to do my hair how I want it done? She does the multiple round brushes to create the blowout look and I asked her to put more heat and she told me NO. So I left, it didn't look bad. This time, I got her again. They try to charge me different prices everytime. Used to be $20 now it's $26 one day then the following week it's $28. Trying to take advantage because I have curly hair, I only have like 2c hair... and do my hair every week with my DYSON AIRWRAP and get it pin straight. No one's gonna tell me my hair cannot withstand heat or won't look a certain way. I come here for them to blow my hair out, not for them to give me advice on what to do. Then basically she's saying how she can't do it and how it's going to be frizzy AGAIN. I ask her "do you want someone else to do it?" She says "it's up to you" I said "Okay yeah." So someone else attempts to do it but they all basically stare at me like I'm some crazy person after complaining to the MUTE MANAGER who has nothing to say after I complained about her service towards me. Makes me feel alienated and IVE NEVER in my life felt bad about having curly hair. But the ladies in the salon getting their hair done, had straight hair so I felt terrible and embarrassed. They basically were talking in their language and laughing and I just left after he did my hair. And he expected a tip after scoffing to do my hair. And gave me change back when he could've gave me a 20 dollar bill and 4 singles. Which was my change from the 5 dollar bill I had. DONT GO HERE!! Avoid, if you have curly hair. Only went here because it was cheap but never supporting a business that makes me feel bad about my beautiful ethic hair. They could've charged me more without making me feel bad, I would've accepted that at that point instead of embarrassing me infront of the whole place and making me look like the upset Karen. I NEVER write reviews, so clearly this place is to avoid. Go to the other locations, that's what I'm gonna do.

Blowout III - 10/10 Experience…read more Blowout III is hands down one of the best salon experiences I've had. The entire team is incredibly friendly, welcoming, helpful, and professional. A huge thank you to May and the rest of the team, who took my hair from JET black to the most gorgeous burgundy-ish red. From the moment I sat in the chair until the moment I left, I felt completely taken care of. At one point I wasn't 100% sure which shade of red I wanted. Instead of rushing the decision, they suggested mixing two different reds to create the perfect tone--and the result was absolutely stunning. It's rich, vibrant, and exactly what I was hoping for. I'm currently on my second wash, and the color is still vibrant and beautiful. Red does naturally fade with washing, but so far it's holding really well and still looks amazing. Pro tip: They get busy (which says a lot about how good they are), so try to arrive right when they open at 10am, especially if you're getting color done. Safe to say I've officially found my forever salon. Worth every penny and I'll absolutely be referring everyone I know here. Unfortunately, the woman at checkout (who usually wears a ponytail) has now tried three separate times to charge me more than the actual price of the service. When I questioned it during my last visit, she became upset, raised her voice, and even called me "cheap." I always tip and treat everyone with respect, so this was very disappointing. I would advise other customers to confirm the price before getting any service done. Based on my experience, the price has been changed at checkout, which is not fair. As a loyal customer, I expected better treatment. This felt very unprofessional.

I had a really bad experience at another salon on Jamaica Ave last summer and paid $200 more for a shitty job after spending 10 hours at the salon Julie got my color right and my cut right and did it in a timely manner. The only thing I wasn't satisfied with was my blow out, she used the olive oil spray and I hated it. It weighed my hair down BUT I guess I should've told her not to use it. She also didn't burn me. I was very pleased and will be back to do my roots :)

She was told to come in person for a quote, which she did. The lady said okay come tomorrow we will work it out. After the service was completed, the stylist only installed extensions in the back of her head and charged her $250. My daughter is very shy and didn't feel comfortable speaking up at the time, but it was clearly not the full extension service she had requested. I called the salon to explain the situation, and the stylist agreed that my daughter could return the next day to have it corrected. However, after my daughter sat waiting for over three hours before anyone even started working on her hair, the stylist added the missing extensions and then demanded an additional $240. If a customer specifically asks for a full head of extensions and the salon fails to provide the requested service, the correction should not come with another large charge especially after making the customer return and wait for hours. The lack of communication, transparency, and customer service was extremely disappointing. This was one of the most unprofessional salon experiences I've ever encountered
