Mike was very professional and personable. Came in about 25 minutes and unlocked car and even had the means to make and program a new key fob for my vehicle. The price to unlock was a bit out my range but it was worth it. read more

Got locked out of my apartment recently and made the mistake of choosing Brunswick Local Locksmith to help me. The first red flag was that the website clearly says 15% off your first lockout while those on the phone tried to convince me that it's only 5%. The representative I was assigned was completely unprofessional. He didn't let me know that it wasn't guaranteed I would get in and tried two ways to open the door. He only said that the third way would cause damage to the door. I am renting so obviously, this was not possible. After I paid a ridiculous amount of money for NOT getting into my apartment, I ended up making a trip to grab my spare key. Once I returned, I found the door was jammed and not even my spare key could open it. Clearly, the door was damaged by the locksmith and when I had a maintenance team help me, we found that the box strike plate was completely dented. In addition, a lot of paint was chipped off the door, and there's now a gap even when the door is fully closed. So, I paid an astronomical price for having my door damaged, which my building had to fix themselves, in addition to not having my problem resolved. The receipt states that I paid on the basis of being fully satisfied with the service which is evidently NOT the case. Avoid to salvage your bank account and your mental health. read more

Needed locksmith to unlocked basic non deadbolt door connecting garage to kitchen after being locked out. John was short and rude over the phone and quoted us $15 to show up and approximately $80 total for the job depending on amount of work needed to open the door. He showed up on time and popped/credit carded the door in less than 10 seconds. Then he charged us $125 plus tax. Switch and bait tactics. Business takes too much advantage of people in need. Update: Manager/owner called up and agreed to honor quoted price. Service was prompt and management is responsive. read more

Excellent communication, response, work, and overall positive experience. Would highly recommend. Four out of five stars! read more

Mike was great! Same day service and he arrived early. He thoroughly explained what he was going to do and then also explained how my really old hardware worked. He backs his work up too. Great experience! read more

Super fast friendly service. Installed new locks on a Saturday in less than half an hour. Highly recommend.

Avoid avoid avoid at all costs. Would give zero if possible. Could not complete a simple mailbox lock change leaving the mailbox with no lock and wide open. Then they tried to shake me down for $100. I said I would pay upon completion of the job. The worker cursed using every awful name possible, threaten me with violence, and then spat on me as he drove off! I'm in shock. The worst consumer experience of my life. Honestly it was basically assault. Cannot believe they are in business. read more

When I first called this company I was very impressed. I needed new locks in my house when we first moved in.. I called them, they answered right away, gave me a great quote for the work, and set an appt up for the next day. I was pleased with the responsiveness and the price. Until the next day when the technician came to do the work, he told my husband a completely different price (way more expensive than what I was told). I had him call the gentleman I spoke with the night before and he denied what I said and agreed with the tech. My husband had him just do the work since he was already there. They charged us almost $500 just to replace locks on 3 doors which I have come to find out was completely overpriced. I felt like we were taken advantage of and completely lied to. The work that they did was fine, but I was extremely disappointed and would never use them again. read more

Locked my keys in my house at 7pm on a Friday night. My call was answered immediately. The technician, Robert, was a straight shooter - once I told him what kind of locks were on the doors, he told me the cost of getting me back in to my house and how long it would take him to get to my house. In a desperate situation, I very much appreciated the honesty and not being ripped off. read more

I locked me keys in of my car a few weeks ago. I called this number based on it's great reviews on yelp. I didn't have the greatest on site experience, which was not at fault to this company. But after talking with the owner of the business the situation was corrected, seems like they really cares about his customers and them having a good experience. Hopefully I don't lock my keys in my car again but if I do I will be sure to call this company. Thanks. read more

Shari was extremely professional and thorough! Top notch service! Very speedy service! I would highly recommend their company. We called after closing on our house and they came within 2 hours ! We had all of our locked changed and the pricing was quite reasonable. Thanks again for the good service! read more

PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM. BIG SCAM!!I would have given these guys no stars if I can. They concealed the exact price of a very small job to unlock my apartment and charged me $185 for a very small job that didn't last 10mins. They will absolutely take advantage of your situation. Absolutely outrageous price. DO NOT GO NEAR THEM read more

I have to give mike five stars. I locked myself out of my home and needed a locksmith urgently. I browsed yelp and found Mike had good reviews, thus I gave him a call. He was at my house within 25 minutes, exactly the time google maps said it would take for him to get to my House. Very happy he arrived quickly due to my situation. Mike opened the door within 10 minutes. He was careful about the possible damage to the door, thus he tried multiple methods to open the door. I do have some minor indents in the door frame but guess I can't complain considering he arrived quickly and was able to open the door. He also gave some sound advice to prevent this from happening again. I high recommend mike to anyone who is in need of a locksmith. If you have any questions on mikes service, please send me a message. read more

Read the reviews! They will try to charge you for every little thing they do. I didn't go any further than the initial call with one of their "technicians". It was sketchy at first when they bounced me between three different "technicians" for the initial call. They were able to come to my home in one hour's time. It sounded great.. until I read up on the reviews. I called the technician back and asked how much they charge. 30 dollars just to drive a few miles?! gtfo. I fear what other BS they would have pulled if they actually came here. AVOID! read more

Legit! I've never written a yelp review, so I'm making it a point to rate this locksmith 5 stars. I lost my only transponder car key last night, called this morning after researching a bunch of locksmiths (many of which rip you off or try to scam you), and hoped for the best with Brunswick Local Locksmith. Mike, the technician, arrived promptly when he said he would, was super friendly and did his job. I had a replacement within 20 minutes, on site, and he even said he wouldn't charge me the tax. It was $150, as the standard for transponder car keys are and they even accept credit card. Extremely pleased, no panicking, quick and easy. So so glad I chose this over the others! read more

After looking for my car keys for hours I finally decided to do my research & call up a few spots & this was the only place where the guy was willing to negotiate... $200 for two keys or 1 key for $165 Can't beat that! All the other places I called were trying to charge me 325 for one key and 425 for 1 key with fob.. you do the math! The guy was here within 20mins .. thank you again for saving my life!!!! read more

I just used these guys for the second time - I had two locks that needed to be changed, one front door and one back. The options of locks were really nice and they did an outstanding job. Mike is very professional and unknown I will be back for any more locksmith needs. Local and affordable- check them out. read more

It's great that they are available to immediately assist you, but as others have found, once onsite you will receive an exorbitant estimate that does not align with the over the phone quote. I understand that the issue described over the phone may differ from the actual problem, but I was able to find a locksmith to solve my problem at about 2/3 less than what the locksmith from this company quoted me. read more

I got locked out of the house, and called this company. Some weird EXTREMELY RUDE guy showed up who barely spoke english and opened the door in 2 mins and then continued to remove the lock without my permission. Did not tell us anything until he finished in a few more mins and then demanded $190 for the lock removal and additional $60 for installing another lock. The same lock that goes for $10 at home depot. I gave him $190 and asked him to leave. p.s. The guy demanded cash and wasn't courteous at all. I recommend everyone to stay the hell away from this place. Especially if you are in a emergency because they will rip you off by sending crooks to your house. read more

I wish I can give them negative ratings. This is a total scam. I got locked out of my car and based on the good reviews on yelp, I called this company. Lady on the phone was professional and quoted $15 for service fees and labor starting at $35. I was told technician will arrive in 20 min. The guy showed up in 1 hr and told me total price will be $169. This is outrageous. I waited for an hour and had no other option, so I agreed to pay. He used BP cuff and regular wire to unlock the car which is very standard way to unlocking. It took the guy 2 min to open the car and he charged $169 for it. I cant believe other people rated this company so high. TOTAL SCAM. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. read more

This is a complete and utter scam. The guy was 40 minutes late and told me an hour later it was too dark to complete the job. For context, I needed a new car key made and he told me it would take twenty minutes. They are a 24/7 service, so i was dumbfounded that this was a problem. I told him that wouldn't be necessary as I will just call someone else. he left my door panel completely disassembled and my trunk lock mechanism was broken. The next locksmith told me he was probably a scammer and intended to charge a lot of labor for working more than a day. Do not be fooled. read more

I just had the most terrible experience with this company. I locked myself out of my apartment and needed to call a locksmith at 9pm. I chose Brunswick Local Locksmith based on the reviews. On the phone, the guy told me I would be paying $20 for opening the door and $15 for the service call. When the guy arrived he told me I had to pay him $20 for driving there (it's two miles away) and $165!!! For the lock. It isn't even a deadbolt. The lock is the basic cheap round gold knob kind. He told me he would charge me less if I paid cash. I sent him on his way when he started to get sarcastic and snarky at my disbelief. I then called the company back and asked them why this guy quadrupled the price. He then told me that he'd send the guy back for $75. STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS. I don't know of the night shift is up to some shady business or they thought they could take advantage of a woman alone at night but this was a terrible experience. read more
