Brandon, the owner of Schultz, never completed the permit. Our basement had flooded once in 2021 and again 2022 due to his faulty work. Schultz came out and claimed they installed a drainage system. Schultz told the city they did this but did not show them. On 6/29/22 the city stated it was approved based on what Schultz told him. On 7/26/22 my basement flooded AGAIN, it was the first rain since the last time he worked on our property in June of 2022. Per code in our county a window well has to go to a French drain or daylight drain if those are not present then one needs to be put in or a sump pump needs to be put in, neither was done. Two city inspectors came to our home on 7/27/22 after my husband dug all the way down to the footing and confirmed there was no drainage system in place. The lead inspector Brad at St Charles city called Schultz and advised there was no drainage system in place and Schultz needed to call us to make it right. Schultz met with us on 8/6/22 at McDonalds and advised he WOULD NOT be doing anything to rectify the situation. Then Schultz continued to lie stating the engineer was working with him on a current job which in fact was a lie after speaking with Broughton Engineering. Broughton Engineering also stated there needed to be a drainage system in place. Schultz STILL refuses to provide insurance information which tells me they have none. Schultz was sued for over 99,000 by a previous customer which I found out later and has yet to pay a penny of what he owes her. Brandon also admitted in court he had NO INSURANCE. This is not the first time he has done shady work. I have reported him the the BBB and Attorney General. Look at his google reviews. Check out "Deals Gone Bad" on FB, many others have pleaded with people to avoid him. Keep in mind some of his reviews are from his friends and wife. This man has only been in business five years and many people coming forward with issues and no resolution from Brandon. I have paperwork from the city stating Schultz is at fault, my adjuster and the engineer STILL Brandon refuses to do ANYTHING.

We recently had our basement finished by Meyer Contracting and are very pleased with the results…read more We sat down with five different contractors before choosing Meyer. After meeting the crew that came out on day one, we knew we made the right choice. We also could tell that everyone on the crew enjoyed their job and the company they worked for. The entire process was very smooth from start to finish and everyone who showed up to do the work were very kind and professional. We were kept informed with what work would be done each day and they stuck to the schedule as promised. David Neu originally came out and listened to what we wanted, added a few great suggestions, put together and sent us a very detailed drawing of what the finished project would look like. He also explained the entire process from start to finish. He made us feel comfortable with having Meyer as our contractor. He was very kind and sociable and had a great sense of humor. Our project was completed as promised with only a few very minor touch-up items at the end which they promptly took care of. We were amazed with how clean they kept everything with so much construction going on. They take pride in their work and made sure we were completely satisfied with everything. The office staff (Rachael and Sara) were very kind and helpful with all of our question when we called. Overall, we are completely satisfied, and we would highly recommend Meyer to anyone looking for a home restoration project. Jesse and Pixie H.

After being ran around and…read morepromised my job would be done multiple times, the job was done incorrectly they came and replaced the shingles on my carport roof, but didn't replace the boards that needed to be replaced. After yet again trying to give the company the benefit of the doubt, I asked them to come and fix the job they messed up because it wasn't what I paid for. They agreed and said they would and they would get to it ASAP, seeing as I had already waited for it to be completed. After waiting 4 weeks for them to come and correct the situation and not hearing from the owner of the company at all, I told them I wanted my money back if they weren't going to perform said job correctly. Well that must have made the owner nervous because he made sure to get back to me and mentioned how I'm a "stupid woman" how "he doesnt need this s*** from me" and he continued to mf me up one side and down another, via phone call about how I can take him to court because he doesn't have to complete my job for 24 months and how he was already in the hole over the job, because it had been bid out incorrectly, and completed incorrectly the first time, so he had to purchase all the materials again. Clearly all things that are not my problem or fault. If the job would have been bid out correctly the first time and completed correctly the first time, I wouldn't have had an issue but he decided to be a misogynistic male, who apparently had TOLD his workers to do the roof the incorrect way the first time to cut cost! Which his workers told me he was the one who instructed them to do it incorrectly. I guess since the employee of his bid us lower than he should have, he thought he would make up cost by cutting corners on our job. Then as his employee called him to let him know what was decided he continued to call me a "pain in the a$$" in front of me...apparently people who expect to get what they pay for in a timely manner when they've been promised something are completely ridiculous to Jeff.
