We arrived a few minutes before our appointment time and were hardly greeted when we walked in. The store was empty and had multiple employees standing around taking about their Saturday night. We walked around for about 10 minutes before we stopped someone to let them know we had an appointment and needed help. The store itself is a train wreck with open boxes lying around that you practically have to step over, no organization, and every suit hanging up looking worn and dirty. What would make you want to rent a suit from here?! One young man who helped us seemed to be covering the suit rental desk. When we asked to see options, we were handed an iPad to scroll through, yet we could have done that at home. We came in to see and try on suits so we could get a better feel for what we wanted. Before we even had the option to try on anything, we were pretty much told to come back another day. What a poor sales pitch. It really felt like they didn't want to help us and would rather us come back another day to bother another employee. I'm very frustrated with the service and experience this afternoon and I'm looking at other places where our wedding party can better be served.

The suit side was tame compared to the dress side. We ended up buying a whole suit, vest, white shirt, 2 ties (we couldn't decide on the color) and 2 pocket chiefs. All for $275 which is less than what we paid to rent at MW. And my son will have this suit until he outgrows it. Perfect for upcoming clubs and interviews his senior year next year. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place understands beginners. The booking process was smooth and available online. The staff were organized and welcoming. Although we had only booked one instructor online, they arranged two more so each of us could have a proper private lesson. Scott, Amelia, and Dean were phenomenal. They were calm, encouraging, and methodical. They explained the true basics - balance, stance, safe falling, snowplough (pizza) stopping, and controlled turns - step by step. They made sure we understood before moving on. In just one hour, we were skiing green runs with control and confidence. More importantly, we were smiling. Appalachian Ski Mountain didn't just teach us technique - they changed our entire perception of skiing. If you're a beginner, save yourself frustration and start here.
