So I had it towed to James Auto. I told the mechanic that I had already replaced the Mass Air Flow Sensor. He didn't know how to properly clear the MAF sensor fault code. All he was able to do was get a fault code for the computer, then he back it out of their shop where it stalled and quit in the middle of the parking lot where he left it. He fails to see that there could be other issues causing it not to start. Told me it was the computer and to take it to the dealership. I asked if I purchased a computer would he install it. He said no. So I had it towed home. That was a Friday. I educated myself online and learned how to properly clear the MAF fault code. Then it started, but only with my foot on the accelerator. That told me I still had a problem with the Throttle. That was Saturday. Sunday I was able to drive it to town and purchase a Throttle Position Sensor. Monday I was able to drive around town and made a couple of stops. Stopped by their shop to pay the diagnostic fee. I admit there was a problem with the computer, but I was able to drive it for almost a week before I changed the computer. I purchased a remanufactured computer that the seller had it programmed and flashed off my trucks VIN. And because my truck keys don't have a chip in them there is nothing more to do. Just Plu-N-Go. No need to go to the dealership. So I paid to have it towed there, paid a diagnostic fee, paid to have it towed home and in the end fixed it myself. If James Auto is going to have just one mechanic, they should have enough experience to get the job done.
