AZ Pest Control did the most comprehensive inspection of my home and told me where they found a colony outside that was making it's way into my house. I hired them immediately and they sprayed inside, outside, and come by every other month to spray, granulate the grounds, and check any other issues. Last year I got a call telling me they saw termite activity outside and I needed to get it treated. Mind you - I did have it treated by a different company the prior year who I'm pretty sure stole my money and did nothing. There was no record of them treating my house which they're required to report to the state. So again I hired Arizona Pest Control. We installed a treatment system and all has been fine since. Communication is great. I know when the tech is coming with email reminders, day of texts, and get emailed the report immediately after. They keep the outside from coming inside which provides my bug phobic self a lot of peace.

We've been battling a mysterious pest issue at our new home and have cycled through multiple companies in town who tried, yet failed, to address it. After yet another sleepless night due to the pest noises in our wall recently, I did a Google search in a panic, desperately seeking SOMEONE who could help us finally resolve our problems. Pest Friends is new in town, but their reviews and website - and frankly, incredibly punny name - intrigued me. I reached out to them to make an inquiry and was almost immediately contacted by one of the owners. (Shout out to John for being so awesome!) Salomon came out for a free inspection the next day and we were so, so impressed with his professionalism, timeliness, and friendly demeanor. He helped to identify several areas of concern - that the other companies missed - and also located wasp nests in our roof vents (something that two other companies failed to see or mention). We were impressed enough after our free inspection to hire the Pest Friends to some exclusion work and trapping. Salomon and Darrell came out to perform the removal of the wasp nests and exclusion work and were extremely thorough. They checked every nook and cranny and sealed up the roof exterior, spending 5-6 hours total on the job. (Again, keep in mind here we'd already had two other companies in town do this work, and they caught so many things that had been missed!) Salomon also placed some traps and we were able to bid adieu to several patio pack rats! If that didn't leave me impressed enough, Salomon has contacted us multiple times to follow up & to see if we had other issues. We've been so happy with their service that we cancelled our contact with a bigger company in town and also hired them on to perform our bi-monthly pest spray. (Oh - and they're cheaper, too.) I would highly recommend this company, and Salomon and Darrell specifically, for any pest issues or maintenance. They are kind, professional, and throrough, and scheduling is easy and efficient. The company is small and it's clear they value their employees - and in turn, the employees clearly value customer service and taking care of their clients. Not the folks you should use if you have pack rats. Period…read more When we called for rodents in the attic we were told multiple times that they would not remediate or mitigate any intrusions. Okay okay we get it, you only set traps. Great. Anthony came out to provide an estimate ($450), walked the back yard and found a nest above our kitchen window - and didn't check the roof any where else. He told us explicitly they would be out every couple of days to check the traps. His specific example was they'd set the traps Friday, check Monday. Traps set around the yard on a Friday and they came back on Wednesday - five days later after we called about how much time had passed. We also said they were still in the attic. No one checked in the attic, other sections of the roof, got on a ladder, nothing. Rick said that he'd schedule a trap check for the following Friday which would have been 9 days later. That's when we were done. $450 dollars to set five traps and not come back for 5 or 9 days is absurd. When they do come, they check the trap, squeeze in more bait and bail. Five minutes max. It was a waste of time and money. Of note: Mr. Pack Rat came shortly thereafter, checked the roof with the nest and informed us that rats hadn't entered the house there. He checked the entire roofline and found the point of entry on the other side of the house and screened the hole that was in the plywood - something Pest Friends completely missed and wouldn't have done. He came out daily to check our traps, caught multiple rats, cleaned out the nest under the roof tiles and replaced them, remediated all of it until the roofers could fix the damage.

She resolved the issue immediately, corrected the misinformation given by the call center AND flagged my account so future calls go to the local office. All of the previous five star reviews for this business looked authentic. I submitted the project, using Yelp, to multiple businesses. Out of all the businesses that the project was sent to for the termite treatment, this was the only one that had a good follow up. All other businesses were like "call this number" or "visit this website". Desert Shield replied, via Yelp, and offered to drop by the very next day and asked for my address. Eric showed up the next day at the agreed time. He confirmed my worries about the lines being termite tubes. He pointed out a few more that I did not see. Eric explained the treatment process, gave me a quote, and had me scheduled via text by the end of the day for him to return for the treatment. The quote for the service was far cheaper than what my buddies told me they paid for similar services. And yes, this treatment comes with a five year warranty. They had to drill through a couple pavers to do the treatment. Eric placed the drill holes in the grout lines to better hide the holes. While it is pretty impossible to completely hide the holes after they're filled, I think he did a heck of a job and gave a great effort. Time will tell about how good the quality is of Desert Shield's product and process. However, I feel pretty confident I trusted the right guys for my termite treatment. Their previous reviews did not lie. This company was punctual, incredibly friendly, appeared knowledgeable, arguably cost effective, and communicated efficiently and without stress. I have already told friends and coworkers to let me know if they need termite treatment so I can refer these guys. If you are searching for termite treatment, your search is over.
