I was feeling insecure about my lips and the pigment that was loss as I gotten older. I explained that to her and asked her to enhance my natural lip color but also let her know what lip color products I lean towards. Throughout my appointment, she made it a safe and welcoming environment. She walked me through all the steps of what she was going to do throughout my appointment from the consultation part leading up to the tattooing part of it. When she was lining my lip shape, she was very thorough and focused on making sure it was perfect and checking in with me to see if I liked the shape and the shade mixture. Every step was explained in detail so that we were both on the same page from beginning to end. As for the process, I have tattoos so with the numbing cream, pain level was about a 4/10 but bearable. Of course everyone has their own pain tolerance. If you follow the after care, the peeling and healing process is tolerable and does not impact my daily routines. I have had a few bad lash lifts in the past, and she was honest with me that there was still some damage and that she wasn't going to let the solution sit for as long in order to protect them. Brittany had reached out to me same day after I had scheduled my appointments online, and provided all the details on the services I was requesting to make sure it was what I was wanting. This made me feel so much better about getting each procedure done. The day of, she walked me through the process, and took her time finding the right colors. I was nervous about going darker on the lips at first, so I went with a lighter color. She put plenty of treatment on the brows and lips, and felt no pain during each procedure. She also checked in on me frequently to make sure I was doing ok. Immediately after, there was very minimal swelling which went away within 24-48 hours. I recommend following the healing directions she hands out at the end with the care kit she provides. I was so happy with my results, she totally nailed the look that I wanted!!! I did get complimentary touch-ups with the combo packages I chose (which I also recommend). She was flexible on the scheduling, and I decided I wanted to go darker on the lips. Brittany was totally accommodating to all my wants and needs, making sure that I was happy. But after recently having my initial session and touch-up completed with Donna, I can easily say that I wish I would've done this sooner! Upon arrival, I was given a numbing topical cream and showed Donna pictures of the shape/style that I wanted. We started sketching, and she took over 30 mins to perfect the shape. Once I was happy with my shape, we started the process. At my initial session, I wanted natural, and natural is what I got! After weeks, I decided I wanted a bolder brow (for my fuller makeup days) and she was able to deliver beautiful defined brows. Overall, Donna is such a perfectionist and I believe one of the pioneers in the PMU field in the greater Seattle area. Her business space is clean, bright, and her staff follows at precautions for the safety of their clients. Her assistant is wonderful and is available to help with translation needs. So it's 2025 and my daughter and I decide that we wanna do something for ourselves again that involves a professional. This is where Divaforeva Lashes takes our needs and wants to another level. I called to inquire about services and it was the owner, Gennifer, who answered the phone. Not only did I get all of my questions answered, I made appointments for both my daughter and I and immediately felt the personal service & quality we were going to receive...and this is just over one phone call. Not to mention there were three additional phone calls due to my daughter's work schedule which they were more than happy to accommodate as it was within their policy. The day had finally come. I was so excited! There was plenty of parking and when you walk into the establishment the atmosphere was elegant, inviting and more importantly pristine. The seating area where Gennifer sat with me as a new client is very comfortable and inviting. And talking with Gennifer is like talking with a friend. You can tell she's very proud of what she's created and very humble for the clients she has. As you walk upstairs to the private rooms you're asked if you'd like to use the restroom first as a full set is a two hour long process. The bathroom is just as clean as the rest of the salon and very nicely decorated. Once in the room there's a very comfortable seat where they continue the interview which is very personalized and informational. You're then welcomed to lay on a heated and extremely comfortable bed where the magic takes place. Full disclosure, I actually fell asleep during my session. When I woke up I was ecstatic to see the beautiful art that Gennifer had done with my face. Yes, she only did my lashes, but you know how when you mount an exquisite piece of art on a wall and now that entire wall just looks amazing? That's exactly what she did to my face. I would say the experience was beyond words, but if you've made it this far then I guess you could call me a liar. Oh!!! I suffer from anxiety that flares up when getting lashes done (having to keep eyes closed for long period of time). During my sessions, Gen played a calming playlist and talked me through the entire process to make sure I was at peace. After my appointment, she went over how to care for my lashes and even gave me a cleaning kit. I've gotten my lashes done for years and no one has ever thoroughly explained how to care for lashes. But, after my experience here, I feel obligated warn others. I went into MJ Brow and Skin for my first ever lash lift a few days before my wedding. Huge mistake on my part to do it so close, but that was the only time everything aligned with all the other things I was doing for the wedding. I wish I had looked up the procedure beforehand, but it wasn't on the top of my mind before my wedding. When I arrived for my appointment, I let MJ know this was my first lash lift and all she basically said was "great!" And then motioned for me to lay down on the table. I assumed maybe she would tell me what was normal and what wasn't while in the process of doing my lashes, but she was quiet the entire time. Immediately, I noted how incredibly rough she was with my eyes. I've had LASIK, so I'm more sensitive, but I would have been concerned even if I hadn't. Quickly into her starting, I began to feel burning. I shrugged internally and thought it was normal given she didn't warn me ahead of time that I should tell her if anything burned. After the entire process was complete she allowed me to open my eyes to look at my lashes. Immediately I noticed that the entire world was blurry no matter how much I blinked. I could only see things clearly that were right by my face. Once again, I reasoned that since my eyes had been closed for 45+ minutes, I had just been poked and prodded, and I had foreign chemicals on my eyes this likely was normal and would go away soon. She told me to call if I had any side effects or questions. I thanked her and then began to make my way home. Thank goodness I live close enough to walk, because there would have been no way I could have possibly driven! After no change by the time I got home I looked up (with my phone almost touching my nose because I couldn't see it otherwise) if burning and blurriness were normal symptoms after a lash lift. Turns out, neither are and Dr. Google recommends going to urgent care/the ER if these symptoms last. I decided that I would call MJ just to chat with her since she was a professional and probably would have some advice. She didn't pick up, and so I left a message explaining what was going on and asked her to call me back. After a couple of hours, my symptoms not improving at all, and no word from MJ, I called my sister in law who is a PA. She recommended that I go to the ER when my partner got home with the car and call the lash place again to get the name of the chemicals used in the treatment just in case the ER staff needed it. I called MJ Brow & Skin again, and once again no answer. I left another message asking her to call me back ASAP since I was going to the ER and I needed the name of the chemicals. Now, almost two months later I have still not heard from her! Multiple hours later when my now husband got home, I was in tears. My vision was still blurry, but I didn't want to pay for the ER bill after I had just paid a stupid amount for this woman to burn my eyeballs and then promptly ghost me right before my wedding!! Because my eyes weren't a glaring red and the burning had subsided - they were just dry and blurry - I decided to sleep on it and see if they got better. The next day they seemed to be improving slightly. Over the next couple of weeks they did improve, but my vision has never gotten back to normal. On top of all of this, she also either over-permed one side of my lashes or used an incorrect rod size (see photos). Boy was it hard to put mascara on during my wedding day!!! I also talked with a coworker about my experience and she gasped when she realized she had a really similar experience at the same place. However, MJ actually picked up when she called. Instead of offering advice or a refund, though, MJ blamed my coworker for not telling her that her eyes weren't burning and said it was her fault. Please go elsewhere if you can!
