In addition to that project they installed a French drain system, tied the downspouts into another underground drainage line to help divert all excess water away from the house. In addition to all the drainage work, they removed tree stumps, roots and brush from the area to allow surface water to flow away from the house. They also repaired our gravel driveway by smoothing it out and applying new limestone. They did a final grade, applied topsoil, grass seed and straw to finish off this large project. Great people to work with!!! I highly recommend them for your property needs.

Our difficulty was going to be finding one slab that was 23" deep. We knew that was a tall ask. A friend of ours suggested we drive out to Johnstown and check out Almendinger Sawmill. We visited on a chilly Friday afternoon and we began by looking around their huge wood yard located in a large barn. We we impressed with the selection and the affordable prices. Everything seemed priced so fair, we almost could not believe it. Our initial plan was just to look. We wanted to get an idea of pricing, what it may cost for us to get what we wanted for our project. Then we met Clint. He is a young, gregarious man that seems to have a vast knowledge of wood and what they have in stock. He showed us many options even though the depth we were asking for was tough. Ultimately he took us to a finished slab of maple wood that was breath taking. I actually ooohhed when Clint revealed the piece. He laughed out loud because I believe he knew he had just made a sale. The price was beyond reasonable so we said we would take it. We have not regretted it since. In fact, we believe we made the best decision by stopping by and checking out Almendinger Sawmill. We are beyond thrilled with our slab of wood and we can not wait to begin our project. We feel so lucky to have met Clint. We are so glad he helped us out that day. We will absolutely ask for him in the future when looking for our next peice of wood. We will definitely be getting it at Almendinger Sawmill. If you are looking for a great piece of wood check them out, especially if you are on a budget. They have a piece of wood for you!!!

Everything from removing 4 huge pine trees and 2 really huge locust trees covering our home, to removing large branches broken in storms to removing dead trees around our property to grinding stumps. They protected our home when removing the trees and were so polite, friendly and professional. I usually dread having companies out to work on our home, but I am always excited when they come out. They leave the yard cleaner than they found it and do exactly the job they are hired to do. They often are able to come sooner than their estimated date and let me know ahead of time to make sure the date is ok. They also have the most competitive prices I have found. They ended up calling me the day before our original scheduled day and came out and quickly removed 2 pine trees and 2 large shrubs. They had a fairly heavy duty stump grinder, which made quick work of the stumps and large roots. They also brought a large chipper and cleaned up all debris, including everything around the chipper. They brought a large bucket truck, but did not need it for my particular trees. It is nice to deal with a professional tree service, which has the necessary equipment and expertise to complete any tree work, unlike another so-called tree service, which left me a huge mess, when the city would not pick it up. I didn't realize until they were finishing up that Oliverio, the business owner was part of the crew, which completed all of the work. It was nice to see him lead his team by example. I strongly recommend Columbus Tree Service for any tree, shrub removal or grinding of stumps. Thanks Oliverio!
