As you can see from my photographs, they have some really fun selection. It's really all women's clothes, and has great jewelry so it's a perfect stop for the ladies and especially for couples. The woman running the store was really nice and friendly, and I think she opened up a couple minutes early because she saw that we were interested, which I really appreciated. This is definitely a place that I can recommend stopping by if you're passing through, and if you're a local to the Garber area then I think you'll enjoy making this a regular stop.

Isn't the rule of thumb you can wear new shoes around your house and return them if they aren't right? I, personally, have done this, even wore them a few steps outside on accident and no one has ever refused to refund me! He did nothing wrong, they were not damaged or dirty. He can take a two hour project for us mere mortals, and turn it into a 10 minute light task, all the while shooting the breeze with you as he 'fixes the problem' often with out tools. He just uses an apparent mix of machinist knowledge and zen. He kinda rubs and gently twists the part right back into the rabbit hole, and *PRESTO!* (poof) *FIXED!* Fred, as the 'front man' has communications skill that rival New York Shrinks! He can write up the FFL paperwork, talk to you about the rain in Misoula Montana, the sand blowin in Yuba City, and that trick spot to catch Petrale Sole. Never skips a beat. The cutest spiritual gift shop in Garberville, California…read more Despite doing this road trip multiple times, I've never stopped in Garberville before. I was surprised to see they have a decent downtown strip filled with cute local stories and even a pastry shop. One of my favorite stores on this street was Blue Moon Gift Shop. As someone with grandma hobbies, I was in absolute awe at their bead collection. Anyone who enjoys making jewelry needs to visit stat. They have isles and isles filled with beads of every color and size. The rest of the shop is filled with unique crystals, spiritual goodies, art, and stationary. I purchased a small pearl ring made by a local jeweler that is now a favorite in my collection. This spot is worth stopping for! Especially if you enjoy art and locally made items.

Riding caravan style, loaded to the brim with bikes, pads, helmets, beer, meat and wood for three days, my client said we had to stop at this shop is Gaberville to get a T-shirt. Why the hell do you need a t-shirt for a weekend of riding??? As we rolled into Garberville, an epitome of a laid back town supported by California's No. 1 cash crop, we found Tommy in the Hemp Connection buying a pipe. Why the hell did you tell me a t-shirt man??? The shop is of typical size with a large selection of hemp wears and "lifestyle" items. In the case is a small selection of your typical glass and an area for more unique wood and metal appliances. The chick behind the counter totally was baked and I'm pretty sure she didn't know what day it was but hey, she was knowledgeable and polite and good Karma to her. Apparently, this was the first hemp shop in the US, not sure about that, but that's what the lady said. I'm all for the use of hemp, its durability is phenomenal but until we get some laws changes its ridiculously expensive. So next time you are on 101 north and need a shirt, or smoking accoutrement, you know you got a friend in Gaberville.

Lotta Farms - Humboldt County (5 Stars)…read more While camping through Humboldt County, I figured when in Rome... try the local flower grown right on the homestead. That decision paid off. Lotta Farms is as farm-to-table as cannabis gets. No flashy corporate setup -- just locally grown flower, honest pricing, and genuinely great customer service. I grabbed three quarters (21g total) and was helped by Andy, who took the time to break down each strain without rushing or upselling. He gave me full autonomy to examine every bag -- exactly how it should be. Aroma check, visual check, familiarity check. Respect. I landed on Lemon Cherry Gelato, Zour, and Papayamosa. The Lemon Cherry Gelato immediately widened my eyes -- bright berry-cherry notes with a subtle woodsy backbone. Zour leaned creamy and nutty with a slight apple undertone. Papayamosa ended up being my favorite overall -- rich citrus flavor, smooth even burn, and balanced effects that carried through cleanly. Let's talk value: $55 for three quarters (21g) plus a free preroll for following them on IG. That's product, quantity, and price point all aligned. I had more than enough flower to last the rest of the trip and bring some back home. I'll support local, small-batch farms like Lotta Farms any day over pump-and-dump dispensaries pushing the same mass-market brands on repeat. This is Humboldt. This is local. This is how it's supposed to be. Nugs and hugs.
