To accompany my review...black crab claws.
    Beau P.

If this is the best food that Winnsboro has to offer, dont eat in Winnsboro. Half of the food we got was inedible. The crab claws were black inside. How do you a even make crab meat turn black? The tarter sauce was left out on the table (warm) in a ketchup bottle. Room temperature sour cream and butter on the table as well. Overpriced, unsanitary, hardly edible food. Youll do better getting something from the next gas station you pass than you will stopping here.

Service was great, and the food was delicious. My wife and I had fish. My father-in-law had fried quail.

This became confirmed after many people came to take our orders, deliver our meals, and check on us. Google says they opened at 4pm, and we came in time for the Buffet; but the Buffet didn't start until 5, and there was no mention of that on Google or their Facebook post for the Buffet. Our choice was to wait almost an hour, or order from the menu, which we did. I heard from reviews how good the Fried Broccoli was and we started our meal with that. I feel like our meals of fried fish, shrimp with sides of french fries, fried okra, fried onion rings, and slaw took longer than needed to prepare because they were cooking for the Buffet. The Fried Broccoli IS NOT TO BE MISSED. It was surprisingly delicious with a well coated batter. The fish and shrimp were delicious as well. The food with the exception of the fries were thoroughly seasoned, not just salted. I don't remember seeing any dessert options on the menu, a lemon, cherry, or blackberry pie would have been a welcome addition. We were well taken care of by an attentive staff. The business was clean and well maintained.

Upon entering, I found the interior decor to be rather average and understated but do not let that fool you for a single moment. The true piece de resistance is the spectacular view of the Ouachita River just on the other side. It is absolutely magnificent, providing the most glorious backdrop that would be utterly perfect for an elegant evening out, a romantic date, or a refined family gathering. While the setting isn't overly fancy, the natural beauty of the river paired with the immense warmth of the staff makes it incredibly special. To commence our meal, I opted for a classic, perfectly chilled Martini, while my partner ordered the Watermelon Breeze both were thoroughly refreshing. As we sat chatting and taking in the scenery, we ordered the Shrimp and Grits along with a side of hush puppies. When the cuisine arrived, it was an absolute triumph. The flavors were entirely delicious, capturing the very best of Southern comfort. Between the breathtaking view, the flawless hospitality, and the exceptional food, this establishment is a true treasure. It deserves every bit of its five stars, and I shall most certainly be returning

There are not a lot of Yelpers in Vicksburg but Rusty's had some great reviews so we decide to try it. Nice location near the river and plenty of street parking. We were seated quickly after our full party arrived. There is nothing fancy about this place but clean and simple. When you walk in you see the desserts in the cooler in the front and they all look delicious and homemade. We saw some dinner rolls being brought to the table but we were not offered any so we asked and they are free. So make sure to ask. They are yummy little yeast rolls with some sweet (maybe honey) butter. I tried a Bahama mama that was tasty and we liked the fried calamari (7/10). This place is a mostly seafood restaurant with a few good options if you don't or can't eat seafood. We had two in our party that does not eat seafood and they enjoyed the blacked chicken. The mozzarella sticks were also tasty. The start of the dinner was the Redfish with the craw fish cream sauce. DE-licious!! I enjoyed the seafood pasta. It's a lemon butter sauce not creamy but I liked it! It came with a side so I tried a cup of gumbo for $3 up-charge. It was worth it. Very good gumbo with sausage, shrimp, scallops, and an oyster! Looking forward to going back!

So we booked a spot at a local hotel and they recommended Rusty's because 'it's by the river.' Although it is near the river, you cannot SEE the river. So...whatever. They were super friendly, very welcoming. The place is, essentially, a pub or sportsbar feel. We were hungry, but not starving and wanted to order light, but were excited by the new (to us) items on the menu...we're from the Pacific Northwest so the type of seafood they have here at Rusty's is not the usual. We got the fried green tomato appetizer, then the wedge salad and shrimp and grits. So- one app, a salad and one entree. The portions were HUGE. Like, way too much for us. We loved the sweet tea. The green tomatoes were great. Lump crab and hollandaise...tasty, if maybe a little over-sauced. The wedge salad was drowning in dressing. It tasted great, but way too much. Shrimp and grits: delicious, but we ended up taking most of it to-go because we were so full from everything else. The shrimp and grits also came with onion rings- which went straight into the doggie bag. Just so much food. I appreciate that they're trying to make sure that we're well fed, I really do...but damn. I want to taste everything...please, smaller portions! Or maybe a tasting menu? We wanted dessert badly but had no room for it at all.
