Now I'm moving back into the area, once again it's a haven of everything old, cheap and totally not antique. I while ago I bought a really old heavy oak table here. It was covered in graffiti but with a little bit of sanding and a lick of paint, it's now a piece in my room that people comment on. It makes me even happier that you can haggle for prices, if you can understand the very strong Irish accents going on that is. I did struggle but eventually, we cut a deal and for £35 I could have the table delivered. They have books, vinyl, vhs, laps, wardrobes, chairs, dining sets. Every weekend it's something different so get there early if you want to have the best pick of stuff. Bring cash, no your spending limit and don't pay more than a tenner for delivery.

You can spend the whole day there easily, rhere is a cafe/resturant inside as well as an aquatic store which has a vast variety of fish, it's almost like visiting a smaller version of the london aquarium (except it's free!). Inside you'll find garden furniture galore, BBQs, water features, pet supplies, tools and lots more. At Christmas they have a big selection of tree decorations, as well as cut and living trees. What really helps to make this place special is the aquatic section - it's like a mini aquarium. Whenever we come here as a family we must go to the aquatic section to look at the beautiful tropical fish, the slimy snails and the koi carp, to name but a few. I've always found the staff helpful. If they didn't know the answer they would get someone who does. If you're looking for something for the garden, you may want to try here. I certainly never seem to leave empty handed.

It's probably the largest collection of nurseries and garden centres in the country. It feeds my dreams of what I would do if I owned an acre or two. There's so much on offer from many of the specialist centres - whether your need is for a small shrub for a window box or your whole garden re-designed. You would need more than a day to visit all that Crews Hill has to offer. As well as nurseries, there are aquatic centres selling tropical fish and swimming pool and spa specialists. As with many gardens centres, they don't just sell flowers there are tons of items for the home: candles, ornaments, bric a brac etc. It really is a browsers delight and beware of impulse buying. I never thought I'd have need of a carved wooden elephant or a collection of painted pine cones, but those have been two of my recent purchases here. One day, I'll find a place to put them.

The garden centres here are cheaper than those where I live and they have far more choice. they are also well worth visiting at Christmas, as the displays are wonderful and they have lots of decorations to choose from. If you come down the road from the Enfield end, the very last garden centre on your left has a great cafe. On Sundays, they do hot roast beef rolls with horseradish that are to die for.

He was lucky I was in a good mood and did not want to start confrontation for his ugly behaviour in front of my child... he is an extremely bigoted person as he made me very uncomfortable with his rude antics...people like him made this world really unpleasant place for black and ethnic minority people...

AVOID Purchased…read moresofas November 2023 Received bespoke sofa in February 24, after delay. The two-seater sofa was poor quality and faulty. Was ignored for a month after complaining, and had to invoke Section 75 of Consumer Credit Act, to obtain refund. 22 e-mails later and they are collecting damaged sofa. I refuse to do any further business with them, even though I am now left with an incomplete sofa set. .

We'd already replaced two DFS sofas, one before we're paid off the finance, and because they are all sewn up they cannot be easily repaired. Matthews had sofas with proper springs and removable cushions and you can choose the cushion filling and replace the cushions without replacing the sofa! Sofas made to order in the UK, quality made, the ones we bought are as good as they were when we bought them :) Went back for some furniture and again real quality hard wood dining room table and side cabinet. You get what you pay for, don't try and compare with sofas made that are all sewn up!
