I ordered a mature Wedding Cake tree at a total cost of £795, the picture of it was beautiful. However, unknown to me, the tree I ordered was not a Wedding Cake Tree-but what I would call a Lollipop Tree- Stem 10 ft with a badly pruned top. HORRID I arranged to send the tree back to Hampshire Freight, paying the cost- but it wasn't my fault. Sent email to let them know where it was on 11th November. Told not to ring them, just use email. Guess what, they don't read their emails !! I am still waiting for my refund. Next port of call, the Manager. Gill P.

I love walking around this oasis, and always come away with something if only with a little house plant. Don't worry if you don't know your topiary from your perennials either, that's what they're there for! My Aunt was assisted by a very helpful young gentleman who listened to her and made some very wise suggestions of plants that she needed and a lot of advice on how to care for them too, and if you have bags of money, they'll landscape for you. You could create a Japanese garden or even club tropicana, as they have full-sized palm trees! Brilliant.

We were told implicitly at the time of purchase that a refund would be given, not a credit. We were told to take it up with head office at British Garden Centres and it was only by doing so and returning to the store that a refund, reluctantly I would add, was given. Having later checked on the company's website, it clearly states that refunds are granted within 28 days of purchase, so perhaps with the pots costing £600 was the reason behind their reluctancy. Businesses are run on trust but I would never have any faith or be willing to ever enter this shop again.

Almost everyone has visited one of their garden centres, so there's not a…read morelot to say about them, as you know what they've got before you enter them, but they can be a source of inspiration if you are planning to revamp anything from your window box to landscaping your garden, and their staff are knowledgeable and helpful. but once you've got the inspiration, go and shop around first, as you may find the same items cheaper elswhere, especially if you are visiting this centre, as you will be spoilt for choices, as this is the Mecca for garden centres.

I was standing in Wildwoods Water Garden Centre, staring at one of the many aquariums which house an almost unbelievable range of exotic and colourful fish, from all the oceans of the world. There's something incredibly soothing about a visit to Wildwoods. As well as the fish there are hundreds of aquariums, ponds, water features and associated accessories. I'm probably their worst customer as I've never actually bought anything there. I just love staring at the fish and the ornate ponds. Friends of mine who do keep fish tell me that this is the only place for them - the staff being incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. They even have a mail order service, so if you can't make it into the store, they'll send the fish in the post! I cod you not. (sorry it just came out).
