When the technician arrived, I explained the issues and the codes I already had. During the inspection, the technician began deeper inspection work on the vehicle. I was not clearly informed beforehand that more extensive disassembly or work beyond a basic diagnostic could result in additional charges. Afterward, I was told the diagnostic would actually be $200 due to the depth of the inspection, despite originally being quoted $65. After discussing this, I was ultimately charged $75. They got some parts off (he had a friend helping him while I sat in a plastic lawn chair). It took most of the afternoon for them to figure out how to get the parts off. Then he determined the metal parts in my oil pan meant something was seriously wrong with my engine. He showed me a picture of my pistons & said that one blew up. He wanted me to leave the truck there. So I called AAA & had them tow my truck back home. By this time it was 8:00 pm. I had paid $169, including parts, including parts, up front. When I contacted him about a refund, since he had only taken parts off, he said he couldn't but would think about it later. Now he doesn't answer his phone. Another friend called from another phone # for me, but he still doesn't answer his phone. So now you know.
