I've been building my AR and modding my Glock for years now. I order parts here or there and sometimes find stuff in stores. Recently, my uncle told me I should check out Brownells. Ended up ordering a bunch of stuff online including a trigger for my AR and a Guide Rod/Spring for my Glock. Turns out I ordered just the rod with no spring let alone one with an attached spring. I filled out their exchange form that came with my items and dropped it back in the mail. Just received an email giving me a credit followed by another email saying they were shipping my new item. Great customer service! Not even getting charged shipping for my eff up! Will be ordering from them again! read more

The only issue I have with this company is that I'm no millionaire. NOT that you need to be to shop here, their prices are very good! But the inventory is encyclopedic! Tool, single parts or group parts like a trigger assembly...they have it! Sort of a "Snap-On" for firearms. They have yet to disappoint. It's always a good day when a Brownell's box arrives! read more

Brownells used to be great but they have taken a nosedive over the years. I signed up for the $50 Edge program where you get free 2 day shipping. They would not let me apply it to a backorder even though the order was fulfilled after my membership started. Manager was very rude about it too. What a joke, much better retailers out there now, no need to waste time and money with these clowns. read more

Placed a special order for a buttstock back in late January. Finally received it around last month and the agonizing wait was finally over. E-mails can take a while to be responded to, but they do get back to you. Commmunication is awesome and so is the customer service. Great company! I'd definitely order from them again! Amount charged to credit card depicted gift card and veterans discount, just as requested. This all happened even AFTER the previous employee who was handling my special got transferred to another department. Great job to all, and thanks again!! Since then, I've ordered multiple items that were in stock, and received them in a timely manner. Love me some Brownells!! read more

Submitted a $250 order online 12/31/17 to meet the cutoff date to receive a 25% rebate from the ammo manufacture. The ammo showed in stock and I received a order # and estimated delivery date of 1/5. I just called for status and they said the order was canceled because ammo was not in stock and it could not be back ordered. I explained their error cost me $65 in rebates and they said "Sorry there is nothing we can do". If they would have notified me the ammo was not in stock I could have ordered from another company in time to get the 25% rebate. First and last time using Brownells! read more

Really disappointing experience with Brownells. They had a firearm listed for sale which I ordered. The description was clear and the picture was clear as well. After waiting five weeks to receive it, it was the wrong model. They admit that the description was wrong. Now I've already gone through the background check, so returning it is a real hassle. I asked them if they could contact the manufacturer to swap out the incorrect part, and I received a response saying that I could return it if I wanted. Never even answered my question. No effort made whatsoever. Really unfortunate. read more

Brownells changed the delivery date of my package five different times over a three week period. Customer service told me once a package is shipped by Brownells it is the customers responsibility to locate the package and make sure it is properly delivered. Brownells customer service lied to me twice when they told me a supervisor would contact me, they never called. I unsubscribed to Brownells website eight times but they refuse to remove my email address. I contacted Brownells customer service again and requested to be removed, but they lied again still not removed. Brownells has absolutely no customer service, they may have good sale prices but the headaches you will experience are not worth the trouble. There are plenty of other places that still provide customer service to do business with. read more

First and only experience with them, I ordered from them a larger item and then a smaller item. They ended up cancelling the large item and still shipping out my small item that was pretty much the cost of shipping. Customer service was absolutely worthless. Fortunately these folks aren't the only game in town, and I recommend anyone to reconsider giving them your business. read more

Placed an order for some extended mag pads and when they arrived they didn't fit my magazines. Ok, no big deal so I reached out to their customer support team on January 3rd 2018 and 6 days later still no contact from them trying. I wish I knew they didn't give a crap about their customers. I would have went somewhere local. but of course I fell for their cheaper prices. read more

Not satisfied with this website, stay away from them... They've sent a missing order and did not help at all. I've emailed them couple of times and called them, nobody cares about the customer's needs... Ridiculous. read more

Don't pay extra for shipping. I paid 20 bucks extra for 2 day shipping on a Wednesday. I was then informed that it would not come until the following Monday. That's 5 days not 2 if my math is right. When I inquired to fed ex it's because Brownells didn't mark it for Saturday delivery. I need the part before Monday and when I called Friday they said for an additional 50 bucks they would overnight one to me. Would not buy anything if you need it in a timely fashion. Less than helpful. read more

They have really gone down hill recently. Used to be a great company with quality products. My one star review is because they refused to post my negitive review of one of their products and when I tried to answer a question that their "expert" had misinformed with his answer, it was not posted. So you can't believe reviews when they won't allow negitive ones and you can't believe their answers when they have lied to you. Still some very good products and they accepted my returns without issue. Still, you have to take their claims with a big dose of salt now. read more

Where to begin.. I buy more ammo from Brownell's than any other online-seller. Their prices and selection are great. There are never shipping delays, and I always get what I pay for. ONCE Brownell's downsized an order on me. I had ordered 5 boxes of ammo, and after confirming the order, they realized they only had 1 box. So that's that they shipped, and of course they only charged me for 1. But I didn't want only 1. It wasn't worth it to me to place that small an order. So I told Brownell's I didn't want it. So they RECALLED the box of ammo after it had already been shipped, and refunded me for the cost of shipping and the ammo itself. In my mind, that's great customer service. read more

Disappointed!!! I ordered an item that was in stock a month in advanced as a gift for my dad's birthday. When I received the item. It was with no receipt nor the right item I ordered. When speaking with customer service, they told me the item is now on backorder and there is nothing they could do. They made no attempt to right their mistake. So, my dad won't be receiving his gift because of BROWNELLS mistake. I felt customer service did not care and was very blahhh about the whole situation. I have ordered from them before with no issues but will no longer be. read more

I received a missing order and then I explained the situation to them. They wanted help and send the missing items... This was more than 9 months ago and I still don't have my missing ammo, I emailed them a lot of times and got no response... They have no respect to their customers. read more

Online shooter, gunsmither, reloader, hunter store. It's hard to believe the "World's Largest Supplier of Firearms Accessories..." tag with competition such as MidwayUsa.com and Cabelas. * Massive selection of accessories, and hard to find parts, but at high prices. * Excellent selection of high end optics. * Many products have informative videos. * They tout a "no questions asked" return policy. Excellent selection, but a bit pricey. read more

The absolute worst experience I have ever received from a gun dealer I ordered parts for a build on a gun on May 31st it is now June 7 with estimated shipping 3-5 days I have missed a deadline for this build called to get tracking info from them they told me I would have to spend over an hour and a half of my time because they could not be bothered to do so. I called again yesterday was promised a call back which never came. Spoke with a supervisor. Who offered a return label which I would have to wait for then ship it back and wait for a refund. I asked for some kind of compensation and said it would be below there cost. So I can lose money but they can't. Just to let you know Cabellas will match there prices go there. And don't waste time with these crooks. read more

Horrible customer service over the phone. They sat on my order for four days without processing it. I called daily to find out what the delays were. I never received any kind of answer except to say they're busy. If you're that busy, hire more people. read more

Ive bought parts and accessories from Brownells for years. Was looking on their site and found a firearm I've been looking for and decided to buy it. I've never bought a gun online and will never do it again thanks to my experience dealing with the people who answer their phones. Their customer service is the worst I've experienced. They act as if it is your honor to get to do business with their company. I literally had to do all the work except enter the data in the computer. read more

Screw Brownells. They completely mishandled the Sig P365 pre-order. What a cluster. I will never order anything from them again and I'm sure I'm not alone. read more

Everything I expect from a reputable business. I ordered several items for a new AR build I was working on last month, and everything arrived as it should have. Tracking number was provided, and the parts arrived promptly without incident. I even chatted with a customer service rep several minutes after I had placed my initial order, and they were able to add that item to my order and include in the shipment helping me avoid a separate shipping fee. read more

The customer service representatives that work at Brownell's are sort of like the high school lunch ladies; tough and stern, but ultimately want to help you out. read more

Not a fan of this place. Did a search for a specific product and I believed it had come up for what I was looking for so I ordered it as a gift. Part came and it ended up not being what I needed. I phone called about returning it and no where was I told of the return policy. So I'm stuck with store credit and nothing I need to buy from them. Better to just go to your local store and wait for them to get the item then buy from here. Avoid this place. read more

Worst customer service I be seen in a while. They are nice when making the sale, but will not budge to accommodate when they drop the ball

Excellent folks. I have done business with them for years, and they are tops. Fast shipping and excellent customer service. Thanks to all at Brownell's. read more

They will be sweet and all that before or after or after you order products from them and when the item got lost or stolen they act like they got no power to do the refunds. They have been telling me the refund is still on going and its been more than 2 months. Whenever I call them they says I have to contact the claim department and say its only through email. Which is disappointing. Never buying products from that website again. read more

Didn't limit my purchase and had cheap shipping. FedEx messed up a next day delivery but Brownell's instantly rerouted it and covered the fee no question. I wasted 2 days with FedEx when I got an instant fix through Brownell's. read more

Very disappointed in customer service. I had ordered $304.18 worth of items and paused for them. The original order wasn't delivered so I called and let them know and I was sent a replacement order which I receive. about a week goes by and I got my original order. So I called to pay for my second order and they said it will be processed. so about two weeks go by and I get a call saying I haven't paid for my items and I gave them a card number to pay them another two weeks goes by and there's nothing, I checked my bank one day and they had refunded me $304.18 which was weird but ok. then another week goes by and I get two notifications that they charged me 609.32 on my credit card and my debit card so a total of $1218.64! So I immediately called and was put on hold for one hour and I was told that it's because I didn't pay for my original order and I owed them $609.18 ok weird so I gave them the bank statements saying that on October 26 they took 304.18 from my account so they lied. I was told i would get a call from the financial department and I never did they made no effort to help me and they never gave me a clear answer or anything so I reported to my banks that the charges are fraud and unauthorized. once I did that, I immediately received a phone call saying that my payment to them could not and then from there, they have yet to turn any of my phone calls, very unpleased from the situation I have experience, I will never buy from them again very disappointing servic. read more

Always were real happy with Brownells, until my last purchase. First they sent me the wrong shotgun stock, then supposedly refunded me with some sort of instore credit, minus shipping and handling, even tho it was their mistake to begin with. Then whenever I try to use the instore credit on more purchases, I get a message that says, invalid. No response to continuous emails to support. Will be reporting to the Better Business Bureau next. Extremely poor business practice and straight up theft on their part. This has been going on for 2 months now. read more

Order a BRN-180 upper. Received the upper and went to rack the slide, when my finger was sliced by a piece of metal sticking out of the upper. No big deal. Contacted customer service for about a month until I received a response to file the upper and buy another product to make the color match. Obviously quality control is a concern of mine since Brownells sees no issues with the external quality and tells me to but another product and fix it myself, then I don't trust the internal quality or their standards. The equivalent of buying a used gun where the manufacturer warranty is obsolete, but on a brand new $800 part. Returned the upper and bought it elsewhere. Received zero reply from Brownells and have been waiting over a month for a return. There are tons of other places to go to where I know they'll at least try to make it right. read more

Made an order of an in-stock item and received an email confirmation (with item still in-stock at that time) advising that I'd receive another email later with shipping info once shipped. This evening I checked my order status online and it says that the in-stock item was cancelled due to lack of inventory but my $3 charge for "shipping protection" was still processed and shows on my card. In 2020 how does such a large company lack the ability to have real-time inventory of their products and disappoint so many customers? And no even notify the customer of the cancellation due to their mess up? Won't be shopping here again. Fail Brownells. read more

My first experience with Brownells IT was very disappointing. I had bought from the site parts for my handgun, after one week the product arrived, but not the one i ordered ... ok can happen ... however after many emails to service representative to order a replacement, no one has answered yet. Stay away! I am a new customer. However, when I was placing my first order online I was not able to use "First Time Buyer" NBM code to get $10 off and free shipping on my order. I have chatted with Brownells CSR "Joshua" and he refused to proceed my request. He said that $10 off and free shipping promo is not applicable to Glock products. However, the ad that I received through email does not say anything about any exclusions. Therefore it looks like Brownells is practicing false advertisement. After I asked "Josua" to connect me to his supervisor Brownells put my order on hold without any explanations and refused to talk to me. Stay away! read more

Great company to deal with. The employees are very knowledgeable. I've been doing business with Brownells for years and have never been disappointed. I loved the new shop. This company is a clear case of them not understanding how to improve their identity on the internet. They have terrible customer relations their website looks like a catalog from the 1980s. This business isn't worth your money. Never try to cancel or change an order, it wont work and they will ensure that you do not get what you want. It's almost weird I call to cancel an order and it went from processing to shipped during the call. Then two hours later I receive an email confirming the order in the first place, not a shipping notification. They apparently shipped it in record time and they cannot cancel, funny how that worked out. Got hung up on via chat and phone call too. read more

Ordered 2 items at $48 total and the items were damaged in shipment by FEDEX. I sent in the photos as requested. Customer service explained that company policy is to wait for the claims process (30 days) unless shipping protection was purchased. FEDEX automatically covers $100, so why would a customer pay for protection if the package is less than $100? They chose the shipper, not me. This policy is unethical at best and displays horrendously poor customer service. A good company would issue an RMA and ship out new product. I'll never purchase from Brownell's again. read more
