Well, if you answered yes, I am right there with you and what a suprise and jewel it was to find this in of ALL places, Huntington, West Virginia. There is not much there and I might even be tempted for when my next eye exam is due to venture back across 6 states to be taken care of. On top of that, his staff is the BEST! I am so picky about the glasses I wear and have my favorites. His staff was very honest while helping me pick out the perfect frame for my face structure and complexion (most people dont think about things like this, or if it matches your accessories or outfits but I do and so do they) I let the staff in on my secret favorite brand of eyeglasses. They actually by bigger suprise had 1 pair in stock which I tried on but they did me no justice. So here is where they set themselves apart from all else on the retail side. They sat me down, pulled out the catalogs and told me to pick out whatever I liked and they would order them. !!! NO WAY REALLY!!! They also found a pair that fit me but a color i was not crazy about. Took the measurements off of the frame to help me conduct a more precise search. It worked! I found the perfect frame, they ordered it and tada! I am soooo happy with my experience there.

In 2021, all of a sudden, I began experiencing strange things with my eyes-seeing dots/floaters…read morethat were going from side to side, up & down, etc. After several days of this with no end in sight, I was very concerned and called Dr. Blom's office. They got me in right away. Dr. Blom was extremely thorough in her exam, also taking her time with me even though they had to fit me in that day. At one point she left the room for a while, & upon her return she informed me there was a mass in my eye. She said with my previous history of breast cancer in 2014, she was very concerned I may have metastatic breast cancer. After additional doctors and tests, what Dr. Blom had found in my eye was confirmed as Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, with cancer having metastasized to my eyes, brain, lungs, bones, spine, ribs, and leg. Thanks to Dr. Blom's exceptional knowledge and skill, I was started on extensive treatment immediately, and happy to say 4 1/2 years later, I am doing great! Dr. Blom is an angel who saved my life, and I can never thank her enough!!! Not only did she save my life, but a few years later she performed cataract surgery on my left eye. Again, I was amazed at her skill and knowledge, and the difference in my eyesight is like the difference between night and day. I highly recommend Dr. Blom!

They made me sit around for 2 hours, while taking other people ahead of me. They kept whispering horrible things about me, I heard it all. The woman that gave me the wrong prescription said to the recep, "It's not my fault." Also, she said she "could just slap me" and the recep said, "it could happen." Upon leaving I told them I heard everything, and she smiled and said, "mmm, ok." They were VERY rude!! Also, I have to STILL pay another $100 for my correct contacts. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't have been more pleased. The employees must work great together, as they seem like a family! I arrived, and this is the first time I've been to the eye doctor is over 20 years. They all talked to me in an informative manner, without sounding being condescending. They walked me through everything step by step, and kept me informed. I really felt like they were there to help, not just do an exam, and move on to the next person. They were there for ME! They gave me a wonderful information packet with all the information I needed on my lens pre-surgery post surgery what to expect. It was remarkable so wonderful and all the people at the surgery center were so kind and compassionate very caring, quick minimal waiting. This is the way medicine should be a fine example and Dr. CARTER GUSSLER Was simply wonderful, calming reassuring, and everything he said would happen happen just like it was the only uncomfortable aspect of this I surgery was the pain taking off the tape for my IV and staring into a bright light other than that it was remarkably minimal discomfort. Highly recommend this group highly recommend the surgery center for your cataract surgery. I wish I could give it 10 stars.

I had a 9:30 am appointment and didn't get to leave until after 12:30 pm. This establishment puts FAR too many people on the schedule for one day. If it takes that long to see ONE patient you don't need five more lined up in the same hour.
