He never mentioned that I needed to provide my wife with an original Divorce Decree from my previous marriage, so that caused a delay after waiting 26 months (currently) for an IR1 marriage visa. We only found this out AFTER her immigration interview that took place on the East Coast of Canada, when my wife lived in Calgary (midwest). Due to this, we will miss ANOTHER Thanksgiving together, possibly Christmas, and the drive to bring her home - will be more difficult due to weather conditions.
