I would strongly advise against working with Lou Crisci. After my mother passed away, I hired Lou…read moreto handle the estate. Communication was consistently poor. He was slow to respond, rarely kept me informed about the status of the process, and was often rude, dismissive, and condescending when he did respond. When I followed up about the status of the estate, he responded, "The more I have to respond to you, the more time it takes from getting the work done." On another occasion, he told me, "I wish you would let me do my job." I understand that attorneys are busy and that estate administration takes time. But when you work with families navigating the loss of a loved one, there should be a basic level of professionalism, compassion, and respect. Instead, I was made to feel like a burden for asking reasonable questions about a process I was paying him to handle. Losing my mother was already an incredibly painful experience. His lack of professionalism and compassion added unnecessary stress and hurt during an already difficult time. I expected an estate attorney to make an already difficult process easier - not to make it harder.

Their legal secretaries, paralegals and administrative staff are cohesive, detail-oriented and easy to work with and they help guide you through every step answering any questions. We had several choices when it was time for new legal representation. GPSP wasn't the 'cheapest' nor the most expensive firms we met with but after our meeting, they were the most comfortable firm we had interviewed where their experience and confidence was evident. Looking back, I can say the value they have collectively provided us over the years has far exceeded any retainer or invoice we have ever paid. Didn't really think of this until now, but to keep a client serviced and protected for over 20 years really says something about the caliber of GPSP's firm. Thanks.

Subject: Distribution of Estate of Theodore Washington Jr. On 22 June 1964, Theodore Washington Jr…read more and Bertha Cotton gave birth to a daughter (Rhonda Denean Cotton at John Sealy Hospital, Galveston, Texas). Theodore and Bertha never married. Throughout Rhonda's life, Theodore blatantly and defiantly REFUSED to provide support for his legal/biological daughter. Approx. 2 years later, Theodore and Margie Nell Steward met, dated and married. Margie was mother of Sheryl Steward (approx. 11 years of age ). Sheryl Steward later met, dated and married Curtis Battles and they produced Kendall Battles. All three individuals (Curtis, Sheryl and Kendall) currently reside at 60 North Meadows Lane, Stamford, CT 06903). Theodore's support and fulfillment of his parental responsibilities toward Sheryl Battles were totally different from his parental attitude/behavior of Rhonda Hawkins. When Sheryl reached the appropriate age, Theodore and Margie discussed with Sheryl whether she wanted to be legally adopted by Theodore. They explained that the decision was strictly up to her. After much discussion and deliberation, Sheryl decided that she wanted to retain STEWARD as her last name. Theodore Washington Jr. died on 31 March 2026, at 60 North Meadows Lane, Stanford, Connecticut. He had lived with Curtis and Sheryl Battles for the past seven (7) years prior to his death. I am Alvin Washington, the sole surviving sibling of Theodore Washington Jr. I reside in San Antonio, TX 78253. Our parents (Theodore Washington Sr. and Jessie Lee (Allen) Washington) had seven (7) other children (all deceased). Theodore was their first child, and I was their fourth child. I am presenting this protest on behalf of Rhonda Hawkins. Memorial Services were held in San Antonio, TX because many relatives lived there. Prior to leaving San Antonio, I approached Curtis and Sheryl about Theodore's estate and what provisions would be made for Rhonda and her 2 sons. Sheryl stated that Theodore did not have a Will or Life Insurance policy. Then she stated, "I hardly know Rhonda." She also stated that all of Theodore's funds were in two (2) accounts, one in the name of Curtis/Sheryl Battles and a second account in Kendall Battles' name (according to Sheryl, Kendall Battles' account was created 2 months before Theodore's death). I was told that the account in Curtis/Sheryl Battles' name "would not contain much" because it was used to pay for travel, Memorial Service expenses, and the Repass. Again, I was told that "Theodore did not have very much." I did not understand how this could be the reality concerning Theodore's financial situation. Theodore had retired from a major oil company (Sterling Chemical Company) after 35 years performing in a top craft position (Facility Maintenance/Repair). He was receiving Pension/Retirement monthly payments. Aiso, he would have been receiving Social Security monthly payments. Theodore had told me during different conversations that he had Life Insurance. Theodore did not have a mortgage, nor a car payment, nor did he pay utility bills, nor did he spend money on clothes. I therefore find it baffling that during the time Theodore lived with the Battles (and according to Sheryl, "He did not have to pay any expenses."), yet now I am being told that "he did not have very much." Was there a rental agreement established to compensate for Theodore's expenses while living in the Battles' household? To ensure absolute transparency, rather than proceed and make decisions strictly based on what information is selectively provided, I request the following: 1) Request statement invoices for the 2 accounts that are continually mentioned, but of which no specifics are ever provided. I request each account statement cover the period 2022 to 2026. Discovery of any additional sources of funds (i.e. Life Insurance, American Express-Gold account and investments) should be immediately revealed/declared. 2) What is the status of Theodore's ashes? And I again request (2) original copies of his Death Certificate. I last made this request on 21 May 2026 and was told by Curtis that he was picking them up that week. This is an absolute outrage 3) Theodore died with an "outstanding debt" which is still due. His estate is obligated to pay this outstanding debt. This is despicable and incomprehensible in every way imaginable! 4) Strongly recommend final judgement specify that all accumulated legal fees associated with this settlement be paid from Theodore Washington Jr estate. 5) No farther funds should be spent or transferred from these 2 accounts until final judgement is rendered by a court. All information is true and accurate to the to the best of my knowledge and recollection.

We live in Virginia, so we needed someone who paid particular attention to detail so as not to waste any of our time. He was very careful to make sure we only traveled to Connecticut when we absolutely had to. He took the time to explain everything to us, and he always answered his phone (or called back promptly). Equally as important, Attorney Kapoor's fees are more than reasonable. I recommend him highly! He is the only attorney I'll use when I sell my mother's house.
